THE GRAYSON THING IS SO TRUE!!! i love grayson but jameson and avery honestly had more connections and i felt like the whole love triangle wasnt really a love triangle. you could kinda tell avery was going to end up with jameson. also whole thing with her being with jameson but still thinking about grayson just felt wrong and so wishy washy instead of a love triangle. i honestly loved this book i gave it 4.5 stars but i agree the family tree was too much 😭😭 i didnt even know the difference between ms. laughin and mallory laughin until the end of the book

i adore the brothers like i’m rlly excited about the spin off and hope we get the POV of all the brothers cos i just love their family dynamics and individual personalities. also xander has my heart like he is kenji in a different font, him and max 🫶🏾 also hope we get some averyjameson, max and xander and libby and nash scenes in the spin-off from but mainly focus on the brothers

Just finished final gambit today and I read Hawthorne legacy yesterday! I totally agree with you, I’m team Jameson! I guess Grayson could be a love interest, but there’s not enough romancey scenes between them to build a love triangle

i’m so happy you liked this series and i literally agree with you on everything you said. the first book is super super good and i’m a romance sucker too so that added to it but i loved discovering the hawthornes for the first time and the puzzle pieces. but it just doesn’t compare to the second book like the hawthorne legacy is PERFECTION. i loved the plot way more and i feel like we go a lot deeper into characters like zara, nash etc that it’s so entertaining. i’ve heard ppl say they don’t like this one and it’s crazy to me.
Xander is my favorite brother too! I'm so glad you made this reading vlog because when I read them in September this is exactly what I needed.

I loved this series and the characters! I love the Hawthorne brothers, such a good family in a book! I enjoyed Orin’s presence too throughout the series and thought he was a sweet security guard and really did want the best for her. I am team Jameson and Avery as well! I do get what you mean about the author introducing too many characters in “The Final Gambit”, I was losing track of who was who but I also loved the ending! This series is definitely in my top three that I have read this year!

I WAS honestly on team Grayson just because I like grumpy guys with bossy attitudes, and with Jameson even though I knew he cared about her everything seem like a game to him, and I just don't like guys like that. For me it felt like Jameson's priorities AT FIRST were the puzzle. BUT then in The Final Gambit I started to like Jameson and Avery together, they literally gave me soulmate vibes and I realized at the beginning of The Final Gambit that Gray still had feelings for Emily for sure. Although he likes Avery very much, he is still in love with Emily and obviously, he can't be with Avery because of his feeling for Emily. I got to say I haven't finished The Final Gambit sooooo will see how this goes.
I guess I'm in team Jameson after all.

I am so excited for The Brothers Hawthorne! Loved the series so much, literally all 5 star books. BUT I hope the last book doesn’t go down in quality cause they’re giving Jennifer less than a year to write it n’ stuff.
if you like found family and strong but messy friendship groups i think you would LOVE the raven cycle by maggie steivater. its a mystery and light paranormal fantasy series (? id how else to describe it) but honestly i think the best part is he characters and their friendships as well as the light romance. i dont think i'll ever get over them tbh. it's definitely one of those series that takes a while to get into but if you give it a chance i think you'd really enjoy.
