I am not a professional cleaner, I am a former Military Soldier of German heritage and between cray German family (OCD when it comes to cleaning) and the US Army cleaning every crack with toothbrushes I kind of got a little of that OCD bug as well. I ordered the new Shark Power Lift-Away Duo Clean Model NV800W. My kids and I have severe allergies and dust, various pollens & mold are all "no-bueno". The vacuum I am replacing is a 4 year old Hoover 12 amp windtunnel T Series with PAWS and Hypo Allergenic filters. Again, I have all of the various attachments that were available with that model. The Shark is everything that Jason Roberts says it is. If you get all of the attachments you really expand your options. The dust container is very small and you need to empty it often. It seems to have more power than my Hoover, and is exceptionally maneuverable as well as quiet compared to my Hoover and other Vacuums I have owned. For under $300 US I do not think you could find a better vacuum however, there are some minor engineering features I wish Shark would have added: (1) The Cord storage is a little awkward and when you attach the wands when in upright mode... well lets just say it's easier to keep all attachments in your storage bag (2) With such a small footprint having the motor in front makes it easy to tip over and a little awkward in some use and storage situations. If they made the main arm a telescope arm lowering the overall height that would make it more stable for storage. (3) Again, the dust container is exceptionally small. It's VERY easy to remove, empty and clean but if you have a large home with lots of carpet you will be dumping every room. Again, these are just my initial impressions, I have only had this for 1 week and used it 3 times. Overall I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. Happy Cleaning!
*Overall 5 stars as it's exactly what we wanted,🧼 **allabout.wiki/SharkRotator** in terms of cleaning power. Suction is as good as all the reviews state. When we first got it, I first vacuumed with the existing vacuum and then with this, the additional fine dirt that was in the Shark Rotator was gross and convinced me we needed this. We have medium length carpet and a terrier - no issues, I do imagine plush carpets would not work well with this. Also a little too powerful for most bathroom rugs. Great for area **rugs. One** con is the hose, it's great for reaching far away places (ceiling), but is frustrating and hard to use if you're within arm's distance (think couch and floorboards). This is due to the design of the hose having this long metal rod for extension. Also, I haven't figured out how to get the hose back together quickly as it's supposed to nest into the base of the vacuum. This piece might just be user error though.Canister is just like all others, still have to take out the middle insert to get all the dirt out. I often make a mess around the trash as I'm trying to empty it, but the suction picks that right back up.*
I purchased one. It lasted almost two years and just stopped working. Turns out the warranty for all their products is 1 year. that means, based on the 200 bucks i paid for it at the time... 100 bucks a year. Sorry, that's not good enough. It's made in China. Worked great until it stopped working. with that in m ind, it's too expensive a unit! no one make quality stuff any more.
Awesome experience

You completely miss out one of the biggest features- powered lift away technology
You're right, I've realized that after the shooting and mentioned it in the full review on my blog.
I love cryptic posts
