16 years later and I still play this game :) Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones were always first things I installed on every new PC I bought :)
The creepy and dark atmosphere this game provided and the chills it sent down my spine looking at those dark backdrops. No game till now has ever matched that.

This is one of the greatest games of all time. You could really feel the prince's fear of dying while playing this and those Dahaka chase sequences omg i had goosebumps back then. Not to mention Kaileena's storyline was pretty awesome too. Good times hell i'm gonna playthrough again one more time after seeing this video :p
The natural dark evolution of the prince, of course all the buthurt fanboys dismised it because 'its too dark its not magical like the original" well in my opinion its the best in the series adding to the great platforming the almost flawless free-form combat system
it would be the best in the series if not for the overly-sexualized female characters. it cheapened the experience and i also wasn't a fan of the soundtrack either
Youre running around the castle, killing all sorts of "things", occasionally seeing the Dahaka like man and then it turns out that black guy is you. Huge OMG moment for me.
Definitely one of the greatest games of all time and definitely one of the generations greatest on ps2 allthough a lot of gamers missed this, such a hidden gem.

MindaugasLegend WW is a big change from the style of SoT. I personally prefer the dark style of WW, but many did not. That is the reason they made TTT a mix of WW and SoT. The earlier trailers of the third game were in the style of WW, it wasn't even called The Two Thrones but Kindred Blades. I am sure you know that, so my comment is pretty much useless, but I am in a nostalgic state now and decided to comment anyway :D.

***** i liked WW's dark atmosphere and soundtrack, the prince was so badass and he didn't take shit from anyone i mean what'd you expect after being chased for 7 years by the dahaka? no sleep, always on the run and never knowing when might the beast show up next. i loved the the prince conversations with the dark prince in T2T those were my favorite parts especially in the beginning of the game when they seemed to be on the same track, i hated how prince got soft again as the story was ending.
the thing about sequels is that they are notably darker than the first, Take Empire, darker than New Hope, Temple of Doom, darker than Raiders. These were considered the worst of their sagas at the time. Now they are praised as the best. same with POP. Sands was good, but friendly. Warrior was great because it was unfriendly, the gamer felt isolated, alone and fearful of the emergence of the Dahaka. death lay round every corner. it was bloody and brutal and flawless as a game and really gave the gamer the choice of how ruthless they wanted the prince top be. indeed it brought out the darker side or the "warrior within" of the gamer. Genius
The darkness along with the free combat, the gory visuals and the deadliest enemies is what made me fall for this game. Especially the Dahaka chases!😱 My favourite game ever!

i always wondered, they always showed the Prince dual-wielding the Eagle and Lion swords, it's a shame we never got to actually use them together........their designs are really good

Hahahaha...used to spend days and days trying to find all health upgrades and all the weapons...best game i ever played by far. Imagine if Ubisoft was to remake this game with improved graphics and add some customization to the prince (like they did in AC), try to keep the storyline close to the original. Dream game for me. :D

The best PoP ever made (with Two Thrones being close second) and one of the best games in history imo. The story was dark and interesting, the music was epic and that combat was on another level when compared to any other game (still to this day). I still remember trying to do the "handstand" combo consistently with mouse and kb.

Remembering this game I don’t think I ever looked back during the Dahaka’s chases. It was just too scary and anxiety inducing. God times. If Ubisoft was the same company as back then, I would happily annoy them on social media requesting a Remake kind of treatment (ala Demon’s Souls) but, unfortunately, the quality bar at the company has plummeted.

For all the hate, the game had an incredible atmosphere. It's sort of "original" in it's own way of going dark. Loved it.

А я так и не прошел) раньше на пиратской версии пс2 был баг почти в конце игры . Игру пройти было не возможно эх)

Remembering this game I don’t think I ever looked back during the Dahaka’s chases. It was just too scary and anxiety inducing.

If Ubisoft was the same company as back then, I would happily annoy them on social media requesting a Remake kind of treatment (ala Demon’s Souls) but, unfortunately, the quality bar at the company has plummeted.
