I live in an area that has a cost of living for a single person ~90,000 USD with a minimum wage being only 12 USD/hour or just under 25,000 USD/year if you don't miss any days and working a full 40 hours every week. USA has reached a critical point the moment cost of living exceeded double the minimum wage for a single family, not just a single person and yet the disparity continues. There are other options to fix the economy, and yes communism is not the right angle, but not far off. In short, the USA needs drastic changes to fix the economy, but the key holders of the nation would never agree to such changes.

Adding to the prior response, sheldon was talking about an unethical act of an enterprise and said that there should be some kind of state control over big corporations, so the interviewer said if he was talking about communism and he says something like "I suppose I am"
My point is that communism is so wide and he's actually talking about one single characteristic of it and not that radical. I feel that everyone overreacted

@@davecave141that sentence has almost nothing to do with economic policy in macro history. The us is responsible for a multitude of massacres and a genocide. Does that mean capitalism is genocidal? Or maybe says something about the government and the people? Who knows. Strange how almost every totalitarian or nationalistic govt does this but it's exclusively a Marxist economic theory issue. Like sure the us is successful over millions of Graves. Like Britain over millions. Same for France and Spain. Just like Russia and China.
