01. Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault - Realistic Difficulty Walkthrough - Intro & Boot Camp

- Welcome to my HD guide for this World War II game in Realistic difficulty. In these videos I complete all hidden objectives and hero moments. They also provide you with a full storyline with all cinematics.
In Realistic difficulty enemies are smarter and more accurate when shooting. You will also get into dying status after only one rifle shot, so you need to learn how to cover properly and interact with your team more. Also for the most part of the game your paramedic has only one med pack, so be careful. A way to conserve ammo is to pick up enemy weapons when you're going to be shooting from a spot for a period of time, then when you have to move, retrieve your own weapon. I use this tactic because the American weapons like the M1 Garand, Thompson SMG, are stronger and better than the enemy weapons. And make sure you don't miss any ammo pickups.
I will also upload in a different playlist all the supplemental videos that come with the game, about the WWII and the making of this game. Make sure to watch in HD and I hope you enjoy my walkthrough.
NOTE: In the Guadalcanal mission, even if you complete all the hidden objectives and hero moments, in the medals section you'll get only 2 of 5 medals.
Hidden Objectives and Hero Moments for Bootcamp:
Hidden Objective 1 - Achieve 50% accuracy at the shooting range.
Hidden Objective 2 - Achieve 75% accuracy at the shooting range.
Hidden Objective 3 - Achieve 100% accuracy at the shooting range.
Hero Moment 1 - Achieve 100% accuracy at the shooting range.

the way they tell the stories through like a diary was awesome. I played this in 2004, sometimes I reinstall and play the campaign again. I miss the older MOH and CoD.

When I heard this for the first time, I actually turned around and started walking the other way! The drill instructor then yelled out something like "you just walked your way out of my corps!" and I failed the mission. Definitely worth it, would leave boot camp again.
I did a lot of things like trying to shoot or melee the DI. The game stops you from doing it and it'll be game over.
The fact that there's an actual boot camp shows that the devs actually cared about making a war game.

They should remake this game, it was a fucking masterpiece and i love it to bits!

This was no doubt one of the best fps games I ever played. The story, the mechanics, the atmosphere it was just so so great
I was responsible for the Art and UI direction on the Multiplayer. This brings back so many memories. I came here because playing BF1 reminded me of this game and how much time I spent on it.
doesn't matter to me if you believe me. Were you there at TKO Software the late nights? Were you sending back artistic approvals to EA while simultaniously testing the game? We did this game directly after Medal of Honor Breakthrough and did the multiplayer portion of the game. Sorry the internet has failed you but it's okay, you can't bwlieve everyone.
I think the game needs more patching.

Loving the detail of this game, (notice the dust lift up when Tommy lands), the squad dynamic and well rounded characters and the Sergeant's speech. This is everything that Rising Sun should have been.

Man... This game needs a remake. The narrative and the story is PERFECT! just as allied assault. Imagine seeing BF1 graphics at Pearl Harbor. Seeing a high poly DI face...
The animations are so nice. And the combat was great in this game. It's hard to figure out how they managed this that long ago.

These type of games are my childhood! (13 now although it really doesn't make a difference) I had fun playing these types of games, even though I never knew anything about the second war xD
I was really connected to the story line of this game and I love how in the menu the setting changes throughout the game!

hey guys it actually isn't to bad. Just keep in mind that it is ALL JUNGLE WARFARE no city no desert no none of that battlefield like tank actions or fighter planes
man... this brings memories back. 2004-2018
i think the best part about the gameplay is that you're not a one man army like many other fps. you have an actual team to work with (and must utilize), you need to use the environment as cover and vantage points, and you need to fight smart rather than head-on (i can't tell you how many physical fights i lost because the japanese soldiers always bayonet me before i could melee them).
In 17:23, if you get 10 accurate shots you will heard the drill sergeant said this

The whole bootcamp reminds me of Full Metal Jacket , even that sergeant has the same voice as the Ronald Lee Ermey. Not to mention that the entire game was directed by Steven Spielberg

In the hardest difficulty is lots of fun. In the other hand, the AI of the teammates can be very annoying. But overall I had a great experience. And I even learned a lot about WWII.

The best WW2 game I ever played. I liked it even better than Allied Assault (which is also fun, and although the action flowed a little faster the story here is better).

Every amphib operation was called D-day. It just happened that breaking throughbthe west wall was the biggest and therefore is universally known as such.

It does. But you can put them back on (I did it to make it a bit easier). The real difference of realistic mode are:
- Enemy IA have much better accuracy.
- 1 rifle shot or 5 mg shots and you're down.
- Only 1 wound heal per stage (with a few exceptions).
That's what I remember, maybe there's more.
NOTE: Apparently none of the above is apply to the intro and the boot camp.

Best MOH hands down, especially multi-player. Miss my online buddies.
Once you start the game, hit "Esc" and go to gameplay options and change what you want.
The HUD is not that neccesary, but without crosshair is more difficult I think.

When you followed the DI after you excited the building my first thought was: in real life you don't and I mean DO NOT look at the DI when you're standing at attention or during a lesson.

Oh god... I tried like 50 times to not die in the beach battle and I though I get put into tutorial because I fail too much and game thinks I must go to training xD I had no idea that you cannot survive the first battle... good thing I came and watched this now.

I remember playing all these games when I was younger, now I’ve enlisted in the corps and I operate amtraks. Back then those were the LVT’s (now AAV’s). Crazy how I ended up doing something that I always saw in movies and games lol never thought about it back then

Although it lacks in the gameplay it's still a fun game to play. Especially if you exploit the hardest difficulties. Considering its release date it is good, with a great story.

In my opinion if cut scenes are unskippable, then it is bad. I like games with a inmersive, complex story and challenging gameplay. Like the Metal Gear Solid Series or like the MOH Series, which is about stuff that really happened. But, everybody is entitled to its own opinion and tastes. I haven't play Airbone, but it looks great. Thanks for watching.

I used to play this game's multiplayer demo all the fucking time back when I was like 12 (I didn't know how to download full games yet). I sucked so much at it, and there were only two maps available, but I loved it. Listening to the loading screen song just brought so many memories. I remember once joining a server where up to like 20 people were playing, and that felt so awesome! 20 people, woow! lol After some time, the game lost popularity and no one was coming online anymore, setting servers or joining mine. Sad days :(

Been on a ww2 craze, trying to complete original cods, call of duty 3, would play finest hour and big red one but ps2 is done i think. Def getting this
If you're on a WWII Crazy, I recommend Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2, one of the best and most realistic shooters around. Extremely immersive, makes you feel as if you're actually in the war. Multiplayer only tho

Basicaly all these games are based on WWII and the events that took place there. And for what I can tell, it was pretty easy to get blown off near the beach. It is also shown in the movie Saving Private Ryan. At least we get to experience it this way and not the real way back in the 40's, don't you think?
