I have a 2004 and have had to have a few expensive repairs done. I like the car a lot but it's kind of a high maintenance car. Just changing a front turn signal cost me around $150! The drive train I have is AWD... works perfectly. Anyways, I guess if you stay up on all of the maintenance [and can afford it] it's a good car. Nowhere close the the ride of one of my Dad's old Caddy sedans... but it IS an SUV afterall.

This vehicle is almost 20 years old now and yet today it would be equivalent to a vehicle from 2015, I’ll never understand why time has to fly fast 😅

The rear lift gate is manual open only. Go to the back of the vehicle, grab the handle and lift up!

I have had mine for 14 years. Love it! It has been very reliable and very comfortable. Hardly had to do anything to it outside of regular maintenance. Mine has 3rd row seating, which I never use, rear entertainment (also never use) and navigation. Seats are quite comfortable and I can carry a lot of stuff. These days, it's perfect for carrying my mother and her walker and/or my 135 pound German Shepherd. I expect several more years of dependable transportation from my SRX before I buy another new car.

anyone reccommend this car for an obese person, asking for my father. Hes about 450 lbs and a pretty girthy stomach. Would he fit?

I'm a big man myself, the gm chassis this car rides on is very upright, simular to a Chrysler mini van. I have no problems with my saturn vue, it rides on the the same setup
