So many cool points for that Goosebumps reference. Thank you for the video. I've been going back and forth on which piece I want to invest in and you gave me some great information. And I've been itching for an A6.
I'm glad you're using your Gillio! I have a small collection of personal size and I love them! They are beautiful, functional, feel amazing and hug inserts like no other 😀.
I love both brands too. Franklin Covey pocket size fits perfectly in an A6 un-widend if you want pre-ordered inserts.
A little VdS/Van der Spek binder: this is Janet Leather Yellow which is a newer Janet Leather. This is a custom senior (if you want true A6...order it widened). The customizations/extras in this model: Janet leather (extra 10% on base binder), far left slip pocket, back pocket, gold rings and the zipper compartment flyleaf. These inserts aren't available from VdS. As Vicki mentions, these are investment pieces. Check out the facebook groups for both brands and don't be afraid to ask questions. Both companies offer leather samples.

I think i prefer the Gillio myself just because of the extra overhang, also the resale value second would be very good 'pre loved' as you call it so you could try one out and not lose a massive amount if it did not work out?

I LOVE pagedorable's inserts! So well designed and easy to print. She also answers questions very quickly. I have her inserts in multiple sizes as I'm a true planner gal who loves jump around sizes etc.

Thx for this! However, I just bought my very first planner ever and it‘s a Gillio A6 Mia Cara in burgundy. I bought it brand new from the website.
I understand what you’re saying in that only a seasoned planner person should invest in such an expensive planner - but I’m glad this was my first one. It’s so luxurious and that makes me want to use it even more it! I also love things that are well made and made to last - I very much dislike throw away crappy items AND there’s a huge market for reselling these Gillios .
The Van der Spek is more in my price point than the Gillio but I do want to try both!
CoffeeBookChick honestly, after you add pockets the van der speks end up being more expensive.

I was torn between the two companies but decided that I wanted the customization of the VDS (though if you customize and get the exact same specs as what comes in the Gillio, it’s actually far more expensive.) Luckily, how I wanted it laid out was without zippered, secretarial, and back pocket, so it was just a wee bit cheaper.
I would have loved sub titles/captions with this,being deaf, hearing you is hard!! Great binders. xx

I have to ask why the back of the planners stick out more than the front? Is that something that happens or was it the design?
I know this is a year old, but I'm laughing so hard. I've never seen a Gillio do that before!
I am still a planner newbie (happy planner in 2018...became a custom planner this summer...) and this a 2+ year old video. I can't find the printables you have. Link broken on Etsy...have checked for just "Pagedorables"....is there a working link anymore?
Would you say it's more durable than Kate Spade (I have Cameron Street). I'm trying to have the best EDC for keeping in my diaper bag😉

I love my Gillio medium Mia Cara! Would Franklin Covey compact inserts fit in the A6?
I'm not sure if you know this or not I've had such a hard time but I see that you have quite the collection of planners different sizes different cryan's so I thought maybe you might know I have a Franklin Covey pocket size yeah and I just got it and I'm having such a hard time finding any inserts other then the Franklin Covey I don't really like those so I'm hoping that an A6 insert would fit into the pocket it looks exactly like the inside of one of these Campagna planners maybe you have a Franklin Covey pocket that you can let me know if it actually fits an A6 size insert like these planners in this video

I like them more when I put a smaller point pen and ink in them. They are very beautiful to look at and people always compliment them!

Are you asking about the one in the front? It's made of leather and it comes with the planner!

It's the janet leather on the site but I bought this second hand so I don't know the exact customization.

Hi! Someone else had asked this - are those size covers designed with the front not as wide as the back? It looks like both the Gillio and the VDS front covers aren’t equal to the back side in width. Or do you have something in the pocket that pushes the fold out? Thanks!
Julie Brown hi! I'm not sure why it sticks out more in the back. I don't believe I have anything in the pockets. I only have these two so I don't have too many to compare to but I am assuming they are made this way
Julie Brown I think it's how you manipulate the planner when you close it, I doubt they did not put the rings right in the center.She brings the left part to close the planner but she leave the rings in the same position as you can see in the video. I'm super careful when I close mine because I like the covers to hang evenly on the edge.

Hi Vicky, I think it's the camera's auto focus, when you move a lot it becomes quite blurry (eg flip through or waving of your hands ) So it just REDUCES my viewing enjoyment ☺️ not that it's bad. Don't stress about it. Just feedback for you to keep in mind not really a big deal.
