Huge music city....AC/DC, Crowded House, Olivia Newton John, LRB, Nick Cave, Jet, Air Supply, Men at Work, King Gizzard, Cosmic Psychos, Cut Copy, Dirty Three, Dead Can Dance, Kylie Minogue, Gotye, Tash Sultana, etc etc etc. I don't think we got them either at first but they are def part of the rich tapestry of performers emanating from here. Stiff Richards and Civic are two other badass Aussie bands to check out that are newer. You guys are spot on about Amyl and the Sniffers capturing that old-school punk sound, but Amy is way more punk than Johnny Rotten ever was, lol! I just got my ticket to see them in April!
Sweet! just notice this after commenting on the comment video huh did I get that right lol. yeah they're kind of coming up right now although they have toured in the US before I believe. there's a little short where she says they were outstreaming some other well-known bands but who knows what region. she really likes to hang her ass out haha
