In origin, it's a sin bin at max. As much as people want to pretend it's not, origin is a different game. A send off within the first 10 mins of game 1 is crazy
That is a send-off, all day, every day, any day regardless of the level of the match. The status of the game doesn't matter - Origin is played under the same laws as NRL. There is a very simple way to avoid that send off... don't do something that forces the ref to make a decision.
Maybe Martin should concentrate on offering less verbal sprays after making a missile tackle, and just worry about focusing on basic tackles when it actually counts.

It's very unfortunate what happened to Reece, but I think a suspension is too harsh. I think the send-off was too harsh.

Walsh and coates both said Hamiso and added "the scary thing about the Hammer is you dont know how fast he can run because he only ever runs as fast as he has to, never seen him out of second gear.".

yes, that was a weird one. With a player down I can only imagine points was what was on maguire mind and Jake isn't going to create anything. Thats not his type of play. He's a tackling player, not a creative runner. Just my thoughts on it.

He makes 30 to 40 tackles a game[ which is the best part of his game]. He's a good player, but if he wasn't there, he 's not hard to replace. As far as replacing him to give others a rest, again I'm thinking maguire wouldn't want to waste it on putting Jake out there for 10 mins. The returns are to low. This is why I don't understand putting him out for the last 4 mins. That was really weird. There was a game plan to rock Walsh. A rookie, charged up by the emotion of the big stage. The moment presented Suaalii with an opportunity to fulfil that assignment and lay him out. A few centimetres lower he would have had a potential game-turning moment in NSW's favour + he would have a highlight reel for the ages again in favour of Suaalii, and potentially put fear in Walsh. However, he got it wrong and shouldered Walsh's head in a flying motion, Full stop. It is a game of inches. A heavy price to pay to achieve one assignment.

However, to take the decision completely off the referee, how about the offender is sent off automatically as the injured player goes off and the offender stays off for the time the injured player stays off. The offender aldo aught to help the injured player off the field all the way to the dressing room. Then the NRL decide how many games the offender misses out on
