Loved the mounting details, threaded holes with epoxy, gorilla glue on the screw threads!! Both reefing lines seem to lead to the same side of the sail instead of the sail in between the up line and down line? Yes we just subscribed, loved this video. Jeff and Julie s/v OoLaLa Westsail 32 hull#81
Leading the lines that way prevents the sail from being bunched up under the reefing lines. I saw it done that way years ago, but forget what they call it. Thanks for watching. 👍🏻
@@bobstephens410 each reefing line runs from the mast back along the boom to the cheek block up to the corresponding reefing clew and down to the wooden block where it is terminated with a stopper knot. 👍🏻

Are these out of order didn't he post a headed for Bermuda back in July or Oct?
Can't wait to see this. I wouldn't be able to sleep. Maybe catnaps in daylight. You're braver than I.
@@bviyachtsales we posted a channel up date in October about plans for sailing to Bermuda. Next episode will be footage from that passage. 👍🏻
@@eleutheros awesome !
Looking smart, Cap.
Simple , straight forward and it works , couldn't ask for anything more .
Yes, I did get to test it in some serious weather. 👍🏻
Nice reefing setup. Good luck with the passage.
It worked well on the trip down. 👍🏻

Could you please explain why you need to have a line with a stopper knot? i.e. purpose of the extra line.

@@bobstephens410 there will be some footage in the next episode that shows it from a different angle, and how it works.
Whats the matter Mark? No room for the dining room table in one piece? LOL
I would have build the boat around the table😂
@@eleutheros LOL
I used to tell students when you think reef, reef.
Yes, and practice so that it’s second nature when the weather is actually rough. 👍🏻
