The Colorado Bar in Pasadena used to have Paul's Boutique on the jukebox and I'd play that song but the bartender would shut it off about halfway through. lol
This is my favorite beat drop ever. If you just play each album straight through, you will earn your BBoy Stance and a ceremonial VW badge of your choosing (VW and screwdriver not included).

I saw them live on this tour. The stage was sparse, but there was a giant DJ stand made of 20 ft tall Bud Tall Boys. They'd come out on stage, each carrying a six pack of tall boys by the plastic and start popping them open. They'd take one drink, shake it a little and throw the remainder into the (all ages) crowd. It was fucking ridiculous. It was brilliant. I can't believe they all stayed alive long enough to become insanely famous. I'm glad they cleaned up their shit. I miss Adam, RIP bro. Their 2nd album is one my all-time favourites of any genre. Try 'Shake Your Rump', 'The Sound of Science', 'Egg Man', 'Shadrach' or 'Looking Down The Barrel of a Gun'
Egg Man is so under-rated imo. What's neat about that track, is the second part where they come together, "We all dressed in black, we snuck up around the back..." Is actually re-used lyrics from one of their hardcore songs "Egg Raid on Mojo"
Once you get 10 beastie boys song under your belt, you gotta watch their live performance on MTV from Glasgow Scotland, shot in black and white, from 1999. The way they hit the stage is legendary.

Something to know when listening to BB is that these were 3 best friends who for decades wrote their lyrics with a strong attempt to make the others laugh at the lines they made up. They had a Lot of fun together and through a lot of shade and cracked an epic ton of jokes/BS. The Jimmy Page comment was shade.
Redman's cover of the beat drop section is pretty dope too. It's called Beet Drop off Doc's da name. Beastie Boys definitely some of the most influential goats in hip hop
You can do most songs off the whole album, and you won't be disappointed, sir! Love the reaction! Keep bringing those Beastie Boys! I'm hyped for more!
