As a kid, I remember my family getting this game on the PS2 and as we were setting it up, I was reading the instruction manual and this was the first time I noticed that this game could also be played with the gun controller that was made for the PS2. This save room theme is definitely underrated.
I don't trust a remake to carry this vibe. They'll amp up the production value of the music too much and it'll lack that key essence that made this feel like it did. That lo-fi, muffled, simple panning atmospheric synth. They'd probably add violins and guitars and piano and all the bells and whistles. A whole orchestra. Ultra HD grafixx brightened levels atmosphere removed etc etc. It's just tiring. I call it remake anxiety. Remakes ultimately end up culturally replacing the originals. Some people get mad when a remake is "too faithful" and they want it to do something wildly new; but if remakes are culturally replacements for the original, to NOT be as faithful as possible would be a sin in my eyes...
One thing I particularly like is that it's the first _Resident Evil_ game to be set after 1998, at last the timeline was moving forward. This music reflects that, the early 2000's synth in place of the classical piano.
I remember renting this game at Hollywood video and was super excited about that!! I didn’t have a memory card so I would leave the ps2 on all night and continued to play when I woke up … how I miss those days going too my grandmas house and doing that … thank you for uploading this ❤️
It's crazy how much I love this, to.my close friends they regard this as boring and which it's is, and yet I find myself being completely content with this.
This game was a vibe. I grew up on RE games and it was a time i was leaving teenage years, a lot of tough shit was happening in family, etc. I had spare time only at nigh and this was one of the last video games i played through. This was a time Re series where kind of spiralling and this game felt like no big deal, like a underrated side project, but it gave me some peace leaving my childhood.
Says alot that I come back to this video on TH-cam often and it brings me right back to summer 2003 when this game dropped in the us every single time great sound design
This game is actually very underrated imo. Besides the awful voice acting, writing and short length...the game succeeds in every other way. Classic horror mixed with RE4 beta gameplay. And an awesome save room theme.
Although I've been a Resi fan since the beginning, Dead Aim was one of the entries I hadn't played until recently. My console of choice in that era was the GameCube and it's a title that doesn't get a lot of fanfare, so I didn't play it back in the day. But I played it recently, and y'know what? I actually like it. I like the fact it's actually trying to be a horror game and there are certain aspects like atmosphere along with sound/music that I really enjoy, this track being one of them. Although it sounds different to a lot of save room themes in the series, I really like it. It's got a nice sense of calm to it.
As much as I'm not a huge fan to its save room theme, the gameplay itself is so much fun, especially when playing with a combination of both controller and mouse. Not to mention how funny the characters look and sound lol.

Stuck on a Giant Boat out at sea with zombies I’d definitely love to hear this tune while standing still in place for an hour❤️
Resi Evil established such a thing with save rooms and save rooms themes that we did not even knew how much we needed this in our lives.
Nice 😢
right
id just lay down on the floor and have a moment.
therapeutic.
Dead Aim is underrated in every way
This game deserves to get a full first person remake. This game is the one that made me fell in love with Resident Evil.
Some say "this game is so good -- it deserves a remake". I say "This game is so good that it needs no remake"

Best save theme in the entire series for me
It's crazy how much I love this, to.my close friends they regard this as boring and which it's is, and yet I find myself being completely content with this.
Same here! My friends say this sounds like main menu music but I love it!
