Looking back two years later you can see how unreal this upset was. The fact that this Purdue offense ran over a future NFL Osu defense is what makes college football so special.

Thomas Fairell def seems like a very thoughtful and humble kid if you watched his postgame interview. He will be the freshmen player of the year in the big ten. Purdue built its entire offense around him.
I believe he's from Louisville, KY. He grew up a Buckeye fan and wanted to go there but was stiffed by them during his Recruitment. Basically giving him a Scholarship Offer that wasn't commitable. But he made a very good decision to himself and had to enjoy last night
He was committed to Texas before he decided on Purdue. Obviously he made the right choice, but man I wish this kid on on my team lol. He'll be playing on Sundays for sure.

I didn't watch the game, but based on these highlights it was an up and down performance. He got beat twice for a TD and missed a few tackles.
He gave up the only Ohio state 2 TDs.

@@davidvergara1500 thats average purdue for ya they dig them selves into a whole and when they get started its to late. they make mistakes on their own side of the field alot. purdue also fails to hire HC's that use that same playbook that purdue has success with in the past alot. but purdue does have 1 or 2 or even more every season where purdue starts fast and stays consistent for the entire 4 quarters of the game this was one of them same with the purdue vs michigan state in 2021. Am being critical of purdue because I love them and want them to have success and I want to see them win a natty and I believe that if you love a team you have to be critical of them at times

It was only a matter of time until Ohio State's defense imploded. They have been teetering with disaster all year long, and finally the offense couldn't bail them out. Ohio State has major issues that need to be corrected if they're to be considered a legitimate CFP contender.

He may not be the 6’3” 215lb specimen that typically warrants such lofty rankings, but after I saw the video of him squatting 610lbs just after arriving to Purdue, I knew that type of lower body strength would make him very difficult to bring down. Great hands, great quickness & great speed....but what truly sets him apart is his ridiculous balance. On two occasions I swear I’ve seen that young mans body nearly horizontal to the field and he somehow finds a way to not drop a knee or elbow and continue his run.
I'm an Ohio State fan, but I'm also a fan of Tyler Trent. This game belongs to you, and you will be greatly missed. There are some things greater than sports.

I watched this game on my phone in the middle of the Kiamichi forest with my dad during a camping trip. One of the more unique gameday experiences I’ve had.
This was not an upset..this game was scheduled at night on National TV for a reason!! Ohio defense is not good at football while Purdue's offense has very fast and elusive playmakers..Perfect storm for an ass whooping!!!

How did THE Ohio State manage to go undefeated? They played very poorly. To quote an old football coach, "They're fat but they're slow." Purdue made them look like an unranked team.

I'm a Hawkeye fan, and I had as much fun watching Purdue crush Ohio State yesterday as I did watching Iowa crush Ohio State last year.
Purdue DBs were the true unsung heroes. they came up strong on run support to eliminate Ohio States ability to run wide, and their pass defense, especially in the red zone, was phenomenal. and that #4 of Purdue, smallest man on the field played with the biggest heart.

That defense was incredible. Haskins is a talented quarterback and didn't even have a bad game, but the defense was ready for him and clobbered that talent. And Purdue's offense took advantage with some of the best run game I've seen. That Moore guy is a star; I don't know much about him or where he plans to go, but he killed it last night.

Looking back 5 years later and this is still one of , if not my #1, favorite games in CFB history. Obv I'm a Michigan fan but I loved watching this game because of Tyler Trent. It's extra emotional to think about Tyler now since Michigan had something similar in Meetchie Walker, obviously different but similar. I still miss Tyler and I often think about the inspiration he had on this game and many people in the CFB world. We miss you Tyler! RIP man ❤ You will forever be a legend in College football history

What a game. This was IMO even more impressive than the 55-24 nuking by Iowa last year. People already knew Iowa was good last year when they almost upset Penn State but nobody expected Purdue to come out of nowhere and beat Ohio State by four touchdowns. Purdue's going to be a fun team to watch the rest of the year now that they seem to have found themselves.

Wow. What sn incredible game. And some of the most awesome plays of the year. Moores TD with theyards after the catch when he was even wrapped up at one point was one of the best plays of the year. Im amazed OSU went down like this, but Im even more impressed with how good Purdue looked. They played like a team that should be undefeated this season and vying for a spot in the national championship. They have 2 losses this season but you wouldnt think this team was beatable. But then again, people said the same about OSU, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, and Kentucky. Top power ranked teams all with a loss now. My vote is currently for Alabama vs Notre Dame. I dont know if Clemson also stays unbeaten how it will fall because the ACC conference is tough too. I like UCF too, but they just squeaked by Memphis last week who is actually pretty tough and has the best running back in the country, I believe. USF, Cincinnati also unbeaten, but not powerhouses. Just very good teams without a loss. NC State lost pretty convincingly too, but had they stayed unbeaten would fall somewhere just ahead of USF imo. College football is very exciting and I absolutely love it! Im just glad I dont have to be the one to make the finsl decision on who gets in where at the end of the season.

As an Alabama fan, this was one of the most exciting games I've seen in a long time. Purdue CAME TO PLAY. I dont know what happened to Ohio State, but Purdue smelled blood and they wouldn't let up. Everyone called me delusional when i said purdue would beat osu. Fact is osu isnt good at all. Barely got by a terrible tcu team and got dominated by psu the whole game but psu choked as usual. Had a tough time with minnesota. This was coming eventually. Highly overrated and they have been for a couple years now. Osu going 9-3 this year

First time really seeing Purdue (I mostly watch SEC) and I have to say, Moore is a beast. One of the best players any position in the country.
A game like this records don’t matter.. Purdue has more athletes than Ohio state both on offense and defense. This game looked like a mismatch on the field from start to finish.

This is what makes college football awesome. You never know when a 3-3 Purdue team is going to play nearly perfect football and catch a powerful 7-0 Ohio State team flat footed and beat them.
This is good for college football, it mixes up the rankings and the playoff picture. Ohio State still may get in, which is fine, but at least other teams may think their chances just improved, which they have.

I told people Ohio state is good but not national title good this year . They have some real issues on defense and its not a talent thing they just aren't playing well as a unit . When is the last time you ever saw them play that bad on defense embarrassing.
