Always great to have dalya back , you both are amazing together because you often have different perspectives and are both so good at detailing what each of you get from a fragrance 🙏
I was just contributing to a discussion on Basenotes about these. Philosykos, unfortunately, off my skin creates a "bug spray" effect that I couldn't shake when testing a sample. I love the scent off paper, but my skin alters something about the fragrance (I think it's the tannins from the stem of the fig fruit). However, I was 'saved' by L'Artisan Parfumeur's Premier Figuier, which smells nearly identical to Philosykos.........BUT......without the bug spray effect! Yes! I just wanted to contribute my experience to this video that I found upon searching.
L'artisan extreme over diptyque edp and EDT for me, diptyques fades away too fast unless I overspray and it's too expensive to be doing that constantly... P.s - I love Dalya's personality
They are very similar, indeed. I went with L'Artisan Premier Figuier. I found Diptyque's Philosykos had a tad bit more of a woody scent, which I really liked, but I decided to go with the more pure fig based Premier Figuier. (EdP for both) Great video! Love seeing you both, together! Thanks Sebastian & Dalya!
Philosykos and the figuier candle are favorites for the start of summer. Love at first sniff. Just green like having all you’re meals outside by the lake.
Philosykos EDT is still better than Figuier since I liked the dried down the cozy(lasts longer on skin), milky scent of Diptyque although it smells very green and fresh initially.
Im pleased to share my own experience here: Premier Figuier extreme smells almost tropical. Extra milk amplifies the fig note just like when you add a bit of sugar in your tea or coffee. It turns the original EDT into a sort of shaving foam scent and yes it becomes more powdery. Premier Figuier EDT is straightforward fig fruit and leaves. You can imagine it in a light green colour almost pastel one. It is a crystal clear juicy green fresh yet aquatic? fragrance. That means it is more skin scent than the extreme version which really performs well during a heat wave. I prefer the extreme version because milk gives the scent more life, more layers to enjoy. One could simply say that EDT is a young light green fig tree while extreme version is the grown emerald green tree. Diptyque Philosykos? Redundant no point to invest money. I once purchased 5 sealed bottles from the house but had a good deal and got samples too. Long story short, the bottles are sold and my final opinion is that Diptyque is very good with candles and reed diffusers but NO NO fragrances. Just my experience, Im not going to ruin your dreams. Go and try. Currently dealing with Le Labo discovery set of 16 samples and you don't want to know my take on them :P By the way L`Artisan Parfumeur is easily my top 5 house. Incredibly artistic and superbly blended. Dzing! the best but honestly I don't recall one "just okay" fragrance from the line. Editing: Ohh I forgot to suggest your friend the best mouth watering fragrance Ive come across. Let`s see if you read my story up to here: Profumum Roma Ichnusa. ....what a fig-nettle fragrance!! Im actually dribbling right now although I only wear Ichnusa in summer.
You guys are like Siskel and Ebert love that. It's great that you guys don't agree with each other just for the sake of the video and the cologne great stuff always by my purchases from your reviews you got a great nose and class Sebastian
Philosykos edp needs more woods and then it would smell like niche version of Dior Dune, so what I do is layer it with Molecule 04 because I need that woody note and it's just too fruty on it's self. hey but that's just me
Philosykos edt is my preference. The L'A didn't work for me due to being too woody. Dalya, if you like green juicy, try Divine Decadence and Heeley Menthe Fraiche for summer. wdyt of Mugler Aura edp and edt?
Great video 👍🏻 I prefere L’Artisan to Diptyque but my favourite fig ever remains ADP Fico di Amalfi, fantastic blend with sadly average-low performance. If they will ever hit the market with Fico di Amalfi Intense or something :)) it will be a hit 200% ✌🏻
Very informative! Hello Sebastian and Dalya ☺️ I recently rediscovered my love for Philosykos when I picked up the EDP travel set. I'll have to try L'Artisan.
I just got the EDP and it smells of cut grass, no lactonic quality at all which is what I hoped for, on top of that, it doesn't last. The green smell softens as it dries and then is just a skin scent, a let down for me.
L'ombre dans l'eau by diptyque has the most "snapped branch goo" vibe ever. Like you've left the path in the woods and your brushing past trees and breaking branches off
Great video! I am also a big fan of Olivia Giacobetti! I have both of these fragrances: edt Dyptique and edp L’Artisan! I agree with you that L’artisan is some how more sofisticated, whereas Diptyque is more fresh. Both very pleasant scents! Another Giacobetti’s fragrance that I have and never see reviews about it is Dzing! I find it such a different fragrance. Wish you a nice weekend!
Giacobetti is love, and Giacobetti is life. It takes excruciatingly hot and unbearably humid weather to appreciate all of her fresh and ethereal creations. Between Philosykos and Premier Figuier, I prefer the linear freshness of the former. I have never eaten a fresh fig or smelled a fig tree before I fell in love at the first sniff of Philosykos. It's green, juicy, happy, smiling, crisp and cool all at the same time. Premier Figuier is more sultry, sophisticated and borderline pretentious for the kind of happy fig scent I want for summer. For some reasons, I appreciate they don't have a huge projection or last as long as others. If fig is too milky for your taste, I recommend L'eau de L'artisan, also by Olivia Giacobetti, for the crisp grassy, lemon verbena goodness.
Great comparison video! Love when you do these type of videos ! a while back I was going back and forth with these fragrances, I prefer the EDT from both but I prefer Philosykos EDT! watching this video makes me want to go back and try P.F. again. Would love to see a top L'Artisan video in the future
I always love seeing you and Dalya! This is why I come to your channel for education...I had no idea these were created by the same perfumer. My favorite has to be Premier Figuier Extreme! :-)
Thank you for this and your fav gig fragrances video. L’Artisan Figure is my all time favorite. Love both versions. Have used over 10 bottles over the years.
Ok, I can say hi! While I think the fig leaf note is prominent in both, I've always wanted more of a fig fruit fragrance. But very informative, didn't know that they were both created by the same perfumer!
Hi Sebastian, Hi Dalya! My skin eats perfume as well. The endpoint by l’artisan sound great with the additional powder but I may hav to try the Diptique edt if if lasts.
I personally think they are more fruity than these two are milky and coconutty if that makes sense? To me no fruit in these two and Fico has lots of fruit and what I remembered from Molinard it has tons of fruit as well. :)
@@ThePerfumeGuy Thanks. I'd say the Molinard does have a lot of citrus to begin with but turns milky. Fico is more fruity throughout though yes. I should really try these two I think the L'Artisan EDT is the one that is the most appealing to me from your descriptions...plus it's the OG OG (Olivia Giacobetti) :) I love Tea for Two of hers, what a legend.
@@ThePerfumeGuy I have never tried Lubin Idole no, what an interesting set of notes and bottle. I see it's still available, I'll have to try it. Thank you.
great video SEBASTIAN thanks Im a big fan of FIG - the fruit the tree the leaves I like it on the dark/dirty side its a very sexual smell to me for my money the DIPTYQUE room spray FIGUIER for $100 LESS than the personal fragrance is the real winnder as far as FIG frags go JIM from MIAMI BEACH
Thanks for the vid. I picked up the Fico di Amalfi and love it. I’m interested in the Diptyque house but unsure of EDT or EDP...which would you suggest? Thanks. ✌🏽
Always great to have dalya back , you both are amazing together because you often have different perspectives and are both so good at detailing what each of you get from a fragrance 🙏
Leave it to the two Virgos! LOL! Thank you for stopping by to watch! :)

I just got my nose on Philosykos and It blew me away. I purchased it. I love it.
It's one that I loved for a long time! It's a great milky fig! :)

Never tried them(as usual) but good to know about them. For fig, I like Lubin's Figaro.

Have you smelled anything to suggest for fico lovers? I haven't smelled either of these two in the video

L'ombre dans l'eau by diptyque has the most "snapped branch goo" vibe ever. Like you've left the path in the woods and your brushing past trees and breaking branches off
Sebastian I didn't get a clear preference from you. Which one do you prefer? And which one is the milkiest/creamiest?

Hello grom Greece!!!! Which do you suggest the most.... philosykos edp or edt???? I want the most milky and amazing
My husband hates PHILOSYKOS but i loveeeeee it
So which one is the creamiest and milkiest?
Thank you for this and your fav gig fragrances video. L’Artisan Figure is my all time favorite. Love both versions. Have used over 10 bottles over the years.
WOWWWW!!! That’s impressive
I am currently hunting for a sample of the EDT of La Artisan Parfumeur Figuer
I actually get like a ripe nectarine smell in the high notes of the philosykos EDP on me. Its unmistakeable, but dries down after a few hours.
Great Video! Diptyque edt is one of top choices for hot summer days.
Ok, I can say hi! While I think the fig leaf note is prominent in both, I've always wanted more of a fig fruit fragrance. But very informative, didn't know that they were both created by the same perfumer!
Hi back!
DALYA TRY DEBASER A BERGAMOT, FIG, COCONUT ETC FROM D.S. DURGA...A LONG LASTING NICE FRAG. YOU GUYS SHOULD DO A TOP 10 ON FIG.
Lovely to have Dalia back 🙏🏻
Hey Sebastian you have been an inspiration to me while choosing fragrances but can you please make a video of top 10 Diptyque parfums 🙏
Working on it! :)
Im looking at both right now!! Perfect
I’m more into Philosykos, which is less fruity than Premier Figuier.
Would you have a non coconuty and non fruity fig to recommend ?
Great comparison vid guys! Fig is my favorite rainy weather scent!
Ir you like fig fragrances please check out my Top 20 Fig fragrances video here: th-cam.com/video/LOCFXT5W2T4/w-d-xo.html
Diptique by far for me!!! I’ve had the other perfume too, but it honestly smelled like an old lady to me.
The longevity of the l’artisan edt vs the edt? Is that the difference between the two with the additional powdery scent!
Hi , have you tried this aftershave ?Mirages Moonlight Shadow eau de parfum 100ml - Prada
spraying on philosykos before bed is amazing lol
That's what I just did. Lulled me to a very relaxing sleep!
Hi Sebastian, Hi Dalya!
My skin eats perfume as well. The endpoint by l’artisan sound great with the additional powder but I may hav to try the Diptique edt if if lasts.
L'Artisan Parfumeur do you know where I can get glacia terrera
Wonderful video!
How are these compared to Molinard Figue and Fico di Amalfi? I really like those two.
I personally think they are more fruity than these two are milky and coconutty if that makes sense? To me no fruit in these two and Fico has lots of fruit and what I remembered from Molinard it has tons of fruit as well. :)

@@ThePerfumeGuy I have never tried Lubin Idole no, what an interesting set of notes and bottle. I see it's still available, I'll have to try it. Thank you.
Nice vid!
I think Figuier Eden by Armani Prive is the best.
"Sap" is the word y'all was looking for
In the Diptyque store in Paris it's pronounced : " FILL- LOW - SEE - KOS.
great video SEBASTIAN thanks Im a big fan of FIG - the fruit the tree the leaves I like it on the dark/dirty side its a very sexual smell to me for my money the DIPTYQUE room spray FIGUIER for $100 LESS than the personal fragrance is the real winnder as far as FIG frags go JIM from MIAMI BEACH
I feel like they smoked a joint before this review, and are confused...
Actually, we did some crack. Can't tell? Or was it you that smoked it? LOL! ;)
Smelling Great Fragrance Reviews Good rejoinder Sebastian.
Lol , but bless them it’s hard describing a scent , and keeping it interesting on screen , they do well still.
Very enjoyable
I think they are both weak in performance and I find them hard to wear I think I don’t like fig...
Thanks for the vid. I picked up the Fico di Amalfi and love it. I’m interested in the Diptyque house but unsure of EDT or EDP...which would you suggest? Thanks. ✌🏽
Go with EDP or if you want fresher then go with the EDT! :)
I prefer coal tar soap
Nice video
Sebastian what is the best fig fragrance for the price? It's one of my favorite notes and am looking for something to wow me. Thanks
Watch this video of my Top 20 Fig Fragrances: th-cam.com/video/LOCFXT5W2T4/w-d-xo.html and perhaps try ICHNUSA?
I have owned and worn both but like the L'Artisan edt the best. Here is Olivia's Wikipedia page - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olivia_Giacobetti
You and I both like the L'Artisan EDT the best! :)
And thank you for sharing the link. :)
Where is Ashley 😍😙
15:07 awkward moment XD
Another great video with Dalia. It's nice to see you both agree or disagree 😂😂 love the reviews. Thank you 👍 @maryjeannyc
