Let’s begin with the fact that majority of Miss Grand representatives are runner-ups in their national pageants. The winners get sent to MU.

To be honest till 2017 mgi produced quality queens .... Great body no over the top performers.. but after 2018 it started to degrade... If meenakshi won in 2018 mgi would be in next level... Because I believe el tucoyo has these attributes "El Tocuyo is a very special award that brings appreciation and highlights the potential and purpose of candidates, even if they did not place in their respective pageants. They proved that they can still leave an impact and continue to inspire others and win the hearts of many.
El Tocuyo Award proves that it is not about winning a particular title that makes someone successful and recognized by many but it is about how she handles defeat and continue to become an inspiration, and someone who is innately passionate of her purpose and lose graciously still with a positive mind and sportsmanship.
