Good effort by the Boys 👏 but the coaching staff should let the experience players start and use the junior boys as impact players. Don't start the young players.. especially against The Blues All in all good game Boys Toso Drua Toso ❤️
Frank needs to improve his technique of box kicking..His kicks have been charged down several time in his career..Thats why he was relegated to the wing by by the rebels.
I have seen bigger crowds at a Merthyr Tydfil match between some local valleys side here in Wales. Honestly, what has happened to the rugby back home?. Australian stadiums are equivalent to a school summer sports day event, lots of chairs empty and no interest. Back home in NZ, its going that way. The quality of rugby back home will eventually get worse too, and could end up like Australia. Dont think it will not happen, it can, obviously happen as we see with Australian sides. What to do about it, I do not think you can. I think the NH takes all our good players, because they pay more and then that is it. It is getting more and more. However, the likes of South African sides, they do not have a problem with getting crowds and they appear to be better set up than NZ or Australia. Personally, I think rugby is a bit of a dying game in Oz and NZ. You are competing against football, which is considerably better pay, bigger crowds and is a truly global game, even if it is a little ladies sport, football. NZ rugby has problems, we can see this, and I can see it ending up a bit like Australia have. As for Kiwi players who go abroad, all very good in all, but dont come back, seriously, DONT COME BACK, if you leave, you leave, you should not be able to come back after 3 years and play for NZ, soz, needs to stop. Ultimately, PAY MORE to NZ and Oz players, to stop the likes of Irish, French and British sides taking our stars. So if Kiwi players leave NZ shores for more money, DONT COME BACK, soz, but that is how I feel about it. If you have no loyalty, bye, bye, real simple.
True observation. And this is why NZR are flirting with doing business deals with the States and Japan. I think one day, our top team will be picked from Kiwis playing abroad. The danger of this is that it will probably be the nail in the coffin for professional rugby in NZ if this happens. As you say, there's just not the same money here to offer and the choices are just so rich in terms of what people can do these days. I'd say we're still above grass though 😉
