There was supposed to be a grave cutscene for Hosea and Lenny where you see Arthur face and he looks likes he's grieving. Like micky said "You got sad eyes mister like you've seen sad things".
Incase you didnt know. The chess moves Dutch was reciting is called the Dutch Defence opening. You are moving pawn 1 to D4 or pawn to the left of the Kings position 2 squares forward The Dutch Defense is an aggressive and sharp opening for players that are looking for a fight. Players that enjoy a slow build-up and calmer, more positional games, would do well to choose another opening against it.. Basically, Dutch is telling us all, war is about to happen and he is going to start it..😂
One of the main reasons Arthur’s death hit hard for me was the cut scene with him and the nun/sister when he admits he is afraid and it shows one of his vulnerable moments and it makes me tear up everytime
It makes me happy that even after 5 years people are still making videos about the greatest game ever made. I really enjoyed this video. Im on my 5th playthrough, I have a lot of other games but, they just pale in comparison, all I want to play is RDR2. I might need some RedDead rehab.😁
I don’t know if I am the only one but what I noticed about Arthur’s health is that after he meets the downs family he slowly shows shortness of breath after running and as you progress through the game even before his diagnosis you can see him take longer to catch his breath as well as cough or clear his chest afterwards. I spent like a month playing chapter 2 before I progressed just enjoying hunting with Arthur lol
Yeah you're right. Remember when Arthur has beaten Downs and then holds gim up the fence? The moment Arthur gets coughed at by Downs he's infected with tuberculosis. His wife let Arthur know that her husband is really sick and ill.... i tried everything I cpuld to prevent Arthur getting tb but it's impossible to safe him;(

Guarma played a pivotal role in the story, arthur’s sick getting to him faster, Dutch’s fall into madness, Micah’s betrayal. It’s a shame that rockstar wasn’t able to flush guarma more due to time restrictions, the potential was palpable.
Also to me when it comes to the discussion of if Arthur is a good man or not. I don’t think he is by default a good man a bad man or even an anti hero. I think we should stop thinking about the gang as a gang and more like a cult. I always thought of Arthur as a cult victim I guess I would say. I think if he never met Dutch he would just become a man, not bad not good not even in the middle just a person like the rest of us. That’s what makes him such a great character to me, unlike most fictional characters Arthur feels hyper realistic. Because in reality it’s not usually as simple as you are either a bad person a good person or both. People are far too complex to be put into any of those categories. I think honorable is the best way to explain Arthur lol. He didn’t die a “good man” he just died with honor.
Arthur acts like a brute in the debt collection because strauss told him too because they might weasel their way out the debt however thomas downes was personal because he stopped Arthur from beating a man who not only was hard for him to beat but also angered him by calling him pretty
Plus prior to any actions done in Valentine you can meet that guy near stables trying to collect money for charity (either it really was for charity rather than his own debts is another story). He was coughing a lot there and since I didn't remember his looks due how little he appears on screen I was like "damn, that guy sounds like he has some TB going on there". There's no way to threaten that guy other than fire your gun in his vacinity nor to kill him.

I think Arthur would've lived longer if they haven't moved to the swamp area before the bank robbery & Guarma. He could've lived longer as long as they stayed in dryer climates. Swamps & especially Guarma boosted the process of TB inside him. If Strauss wasn't there however, he wouldn't have gotten TB from doing his dirty work, however he wouldn't have seen the error of his ways if he never did it either.

Been watching these videos as I play through RDR 2 for myself. Arthur is my favorite character of all time. I think Arthur getting sick only sped up his eventual split from Dutch from the very first segment of the game at least my interpitation is Blackwater was the beginning of the end, Arthur never gets a straight answer and inquires about it not just to dutch but to the others that were involved. In another world I think it's Dutch and Arthur fighting on that snowy mountain and Arthur probably wins, now could he have brought himself to kill Dutch who knows? But I do think either way Arthur and Dutch had a rift that would've happened whether he was sick or not.
I'm of the belief that Arthur would've ended up leaving and helping the others anyways...but I don't know if he would've been helping everyone else outside of the gang around him if he hadn't been dying. I think, if he and Dutch did end up gun-to-gun, Arthur would hesitate...he doesn't want to hurt Dutch, even if he can't continue following him to the ends of the Earth. I think he'd do everything he could to talk Dutch down...but I think Dutch would shoot at Arthur if it meant surviving. And with Micah there, well...I'm so sad to say that I don't forsee it ending well for Arthur. Then again, part of Micah's ability to turn Dutch against Arthur is by using Arthur's sickness as weakness, convincing Dutch that Arthur is delusional. So maybe Dutch would shoot Micah and agree with Arthur that he's a rat...but he'd still be pissed as hell at Arthur "betraying" him.
If I had to guess, seeing the rebels and freedom fighters of guarma is what eventually led dutch into his new persona in read dead redemption one. You can even hear him say he's enjoying the fighting in the final mission while defending the fort, its the seed that eventually leads to the reshaping of his life in the future.

I thought Guarma was a great sidetrip to the game. So unexpected. And landing in a war and meet some interesting characters. But i agree they could have still expanded upon Sadie and all those great other characters. Poor Ms. Grimshaw.
A lot of people say rdr2 is on par with novels. I would go even further, in my opinion read dead redemption is the 2nd greatest western story ever written, beaten only by blood meridian. I would easily put it 1st, but Blood meridian isn’t just the best in this genre, imo Blood meridian is the greatest story ever made period. if it wasn’t for blood meridian I would confidently say rdr2 is by far the best western of all time and also one of the best stories of all time across the board.
If there was ever a game that gets adopted into a movie and they somehow f*cked up people would literally riot because this is the easiest thing to adapt
@@CynicGTA I’d recommend Wendigoons video on it. Anyone who likes rdr2s story will without a doubt loooove blood meridian. It does get pretty damn disturbing at times. And one of the main characters makes Micah look like an angel lol. If you do get into it let me know what you think !

I cant think of any show or movie better then rdr2, and honestly wouldn’t care for it to be adapted. One thing I like the most, while of course the characters in rdr2 are played by incredible actors, and do resemble their character a little bit, I a lot of the actors rockstar picks ups aren’t even really known. just makes it a million times more immersive than watching a movie with a actor you have seen in 10 other films. Feel me? Like you won’t see Arthur Morgan on instagram lol makes him feel more real I guess
People didn't like Guarma for the reasons you wouldn't like an island your trapped on qnd seperated from all you've built back home. Perfectly designed and executed imo
Personally, I don't think Micah setup anything with Colm - mainly because after the mission, there's a chance encounter of Micah walking up to you (Arthur) and apologizing for the whole thing. and I mean a.. genuine-ish apology, I know, I know; "don't trust Micah ever" but in that scene; the man definitely gives the tone of an actual apology atleast.
I just noticed in the video, during the o Driscoll chapter where you're kidnapped in the video, in the clip of the Pinkertons confronting everyone on the camp site in the background you see Micah leaving/walking away behind them, pretty sus how the more evil of the group, alleged mole, just walks away in front of the pinkertons, a man who wasn't about to be hanged in strawberry not too long ago in the time line.🤔 Doubt he just snuck by, too chill just walking away like that with no attention on him.
See i like to think of Arthur as a man so fully dedicated to the gang making them his cause for living the way he does so he can be that wall that protects the gang from the world and in the end arthur fought tooth and nail for what he believed in brutal or not it was justified as necessary. In the end i dont think arthur was ever an evil man, brutal and ruthless sure, cold-hearted? Nah he’s as pure as the sun rise is long, he just got stuck in between an unfortunate rock in an even more unfortunate hard place which in my opinion was the driving force along with his TB that gave him insight into the life he lived and the bad things he’s done in the name of the gang. On the outside he is a very cold and has little passion for those in his way but deep down i feel that all the bad things arthur has done he himself never wanted to do them but justified the actions for the gang even though he knew just how horrible they were. Truly a masterfully crafted character. ❤

Can’t just be me that thinks Dutch was right to kill the old lady as 1.she pulled a knife out and 2. She would’ve definitely ratted if they didn’t pay her more. And Brontë the guy literally tried stitching the gang up and was a criminal himself. The main issues I had with Dutch was him leaving John multiple times, using the native Americans as bait and siding with Micah over Arthur.
What Micah says “big shadow, tiny tree” can describe himself perfectly, before chapter 6 Micah’s role is so minimal (tiny tree) but everytime he was in a mission something bad always happened (big shadow) but in chapter 6 you can say Arthur took that role in Dutch’s POV, Arthur is not in a lot of the missions and everytime he is, something bad happens. I may be looking way too deep into this
It's a saying that means the opposite. Which can also apply to Micah. Its an insult meaning someone has a big image or presence (big shadow) but in reality they are actually small and/or irrelevant. Micah talks a big game yet he didn't contribute anything good do the gang other than the minimal (assisting in the occasional shootout).
Guarma certainly didnt help his health, fighting wise. If he had of left the gang when he got his diagnosis, and went to California or Mexico way. He would have had a much longer life, according to the doctor recommending somewhere warm and dry and plenty rest. Or evenif he had of run off with Mary when he had the chance. Things would have been much different.
Arthur would’ve stopped Micah or kept him in check. I think he would have stood up to Dutch when he went over the deep end, protecting most of the gang and having a better ending.
So i just finished this game for the first time and it quickly jumped to one of my favorite games ever..... my only gripes were the ending was spoiled everywhere unfortunately so it ruined the impact and chapter 5 but luckily its only a few missions
I think if Arthur didn’t have tb he would have ended Micah and tried to re unite the gang and keep them together and get everyone out safe and maybe we would have gotten more chapters following Arthur’s story or it still would’ve followed John after chapter 6 but Arthur would’ve been a dominant side character after 6 if that was the case
I think if Arthur never got sick he would get the women and children out I think Micah would of still got in Dutch’s ear because I feel like he was always that way just hid it away also Hosea I think would of died still in my opinion he was meant to die to explain the events of the first red dead where the gang fell apart but I think Arthur would of went back after saving the women and children with Sadie making sure they get out John would show back up just before Arthur enters the camp and they both go to end things grim Shaw wouldn’t have died Arthur would get her out as well so as they confront Dutch and Micah with Arthur being healthy he would say Micah is a rat but with Dutch being mad about Arthur getting the women and children out so Micah would still get in his ear and they would all point guns at both of them except Javier he saw them as brothers as shown his gun was in the air but anyway before any shots get fired between the two the Pinkertons still show up and it plays out how it was but when we get to the mountain Arthur gives John his last words and does sacrifice play so John leaves and Micah shows up but Arthur gains the advantage and Dutch shows up and says his words but he ends up walking away and during that distraction Micah shoots Arthur and he rolls down the hill ending the scene with Micah walking away and everything plays out how it did with the epilogue only thing is Charles says to John he couldn’t find Arthur’s body but he is presumed dead than when John goes to confront Micah Dutch still shoots Micah and he lets them have the money okay now the first red dead happens all the same John dies at the end but when jack goes to find Ross jack tells Ross that you thought you killed the last member of the gang than jack says well you forgot about me Ross says you know Arthur death was a mystery because they never found a grave or body of him dying and we would hear stories of people matching his description than jack shoots him but an old friend shows up months later Charles and Charles tells him come on lets go they than go to horseshoe overlook and there Arthur is sitting on a log overlooking the river old grey hair and he tells jack I figured I should get out too and he tells jack about how he married Mary and had kids then they go back to Arthur’s house where Mary is with his kids then you get the red dead redemption title and enter into free roam with jack able to go back and greet Arthur and Mary and the kids okay going back to RDR2 Arthur didn’t have to die for redemption I believe he would had his redemption with the sacrifice play he than faked his death and contacted Mary and they did there own thing he would be an interesting thing if this how it played out it would of been nice for sure
Nah, dawg. In my opinion, Micah always had something on the side with the O'Driscoll's because: 1. He shot that guy in the Jail Cell ( "He was an O'Driscoll" Almost like, he didn't want him to say anything that would even hint to Arthur that they were together 2. He then stated "he heard" they had a camp around there. 3. Micah magically asks Arthur to come with him to grab that "Peace Offering " for Dutch, then all those O'Driscoll's attack 4. He clearly trusted Micah to some degree because why wouldn't he of just shot Micah knowing he was rolling with Dutch? Plus, how would he be comfortable enough to know Micah would actually follow through with i. And, not just double-cross him, instead of his own gang? 5. Arthur is once again set up, and it involves the O'Driscoll's and Micah was around ) 6. Micah always states he is a "Survivor" And, a part of that goes to making sure you have all of your "bases" covered. Also being able to read people/situations to a degree would help. He could easily have had something with Pinkerton's, Colm and Dutch, just to make sure whomever was the last standing, he could just fall in with them, since no one would be none the wiser about it. There is more than this, but I don't feel like typing all that much more, but I think you get my point.
Arthur Morgan tells folk that he kills folk who need killing, but never fully defines what exactly he deems worthy. I think the more that Dutch unravels the more that Arthur realizes he hadnt been killing 'bad guys' the whole time. Hearing that Dutch unalived an innocent person in Blackwater shook Arthur, but he rationalized it. Then when Dutch does it infront of his eyes, Arthur starts to see the scope of their actions. In other news, the van horn mansion glitch still works, and only requires that two drunken sleeping strangers get loosed from their mortal woes. They are bad folk tho, as you dont lose karma and they are in a run down mansion with dubious amounts of money... morality saved.
I feel weird saying I felt bad for how Arthur kicked Strauss out. Everyone in the gang was responsible for robbing folk and killing men who just do their job. Guarding a wealthy man’s things doesn’t make you not innocent. Kicking Strauss out the way he did didn’t even pay any justice, he didn’t know why really and it was just so sudden. Honestly I was only happy with it because I blame him for Arthur getting TB
I belive things wouldve gone one of two ways, arthur wouldve eventually snapped at micah and his games and split his wig very publically or he wouldve got him away somehow, and done him in quietly, possibly on pretense of a job, possibly for his own gratification ensuring micah knew he was the one who ended him, and simply reported to the rest of the gang micah was KIA Possibly wishful thought..
For me, something big about guarma, is that it plants the seeds of Dutch’s willingness to take advantage of the plights of natives for his own gain, first with the revolution in guarma, then with the Native American revolution back in america
I am pretty sure the reason Micah is absent for most of the Lemoyne chapter is because for some reason Rockstar allows the player to progress super far into the story without actually breaking Micah out of jail and having him rejoin the gang. So he isnt there for most of the chapter cause it is possible for the player to not even rescue him that far in.
Arthur has to die for the story to be as impactful as it is. You would be throwing out all of his late game character development if we don't see him die when he does. The suggestion is rather astounding
I also think guarma chapter was to show that there plan to disappear to a tropical island was never going to happen, they ended up on a tropical island and it was nor what they hoped for
Arthur 25+ years of loyalty and following dutch,an original founding member of the Van der Linde gang vs Micah with 6-9 months,Dutch spouted loyalty as the first and most important virtue but he was disloyal to everyone in the gang in favor of Micah, he abandoned John and Arthur two of his original "sons" to thier fates, abandoned his relationship with Susan in favour of Molly and possibly other women before that,was making googly eyes at Mary Beth and allowed both Molly and Susan to die and Dutch was basically a narcissistic snake and Micah fed into that more than anyone.
Micah wasn't wrong as far as keeping the women around, they should have been cutloose as Arthur tried to also convince Dutch to do this. Should have let them go and do their thing, that way they can focus on kicking ass without any risk of the women and Jack getting killed, or captured and used as leverage.

Personally I always felt author was slowly going downhill after half the game he was dying of course but yes I always thought author single handedly could have killed every gang member if need be and possibly the Pinkertons but not sick he was too weak. John wasn’t there yet he wasn’t on authors level yet
I think for the events of the first game to happen, he has to die anyway unfortunately. Would love it if he didn't though! But then we don't get that huge impactful event
Micah wasn't so brave as long as Arthur was healthy (or at least appeared healthy, since we know how long he was sick, but that barely showed). You could sit in the camp and have him locked in and he like everyone else was getting nervous about it, but that's it. In Beaver's he'd start to push you for that. Plus he openly mocks and discredits Arthur's authority once Arthur gets visibly sick.

I think Arthur getting sick only sped up his eventual split from Dutch from the very first segment of the game at least my interpitation is Blackwater was the beginning of the end, Arthur never gets a straight answer and inquires about it not just to dutch but to the others that were involved. In another world I think it's Dutch and Arthur fighting on that snowy mountain and Arthur probably wins, now could he have brought himself to kill Dutch who knows? But I do think either way Arthur and Dutch had a rift that would've happened whether he was sick or not.
I'm of the belief that Arthur would've ended up leaving and helping the others anyways...but I don't know if he would've been helping everyone else outside of the gang around him if he hadn't been dying. I think, if he and Dutch did end up gun-to-gun, Arthur would hesitate...he doesn't want to hurt Dutch, even if he can't continue following him to the ends of the Earth. I think he'd do everything he could to talk Dutch down...but I think Dutch would shoot at Arthur if it meant surviving. And with Micah there, well...I'm so sad to say that I don't forsee it ending well for Arthur. Then again, part of Micah's ability to turn Dutch against Arthur is by using Arthur's sickness as weakness, convincing Dutch that Arthur is delusional. So maybe Dutch would shoot Micah and agree with Arthur that he's a rat...but he'd still be pissed as hell at Arthur "betraying" him.

If I had to guess, seeing the rebels and freedom fighters of guarma is what eventually led dutch into his new persona in read dead redemption one. You can even hear him say he's enjoying the fighting in the final mission while defending the fort, its the seed that eventually leads to the reshaping of his life in the future.

I thought Guarma was a great sidetrip to the game. So unexpected. And landing in a war and meet some interesting characters. But i agree they could have still expanded upon Sadie and all those great other characters. Poor Ms. Grimshaw.
A lot of people say rdr2 is on par with novels. I would go even further, in my opinion read dead redemption is the 2nd greatest western story ever written, beaten only by blood meridian. I would easily put it 1st, but Blood meridian isn’t just the best in this genre, imo Blood meridian is the greatest story ever made period. if it wasn’t for blood meridian I would confidently say rdr2 is by far the best western of all time and also one of the best stories of all time across the board.

@@CynicGTA I’d recommend Wendigoons video on it. Anyone who likes rdr2s story will without a doubt loooove blood meridian. It does get pretty damn disturbing at times. And one of the main characters makes Micah look like an angel lol. If you do get into it let me know what you think !

I cant think of any show or movie better then rdr2, and honestly wouldn’t care for it to be adapted. One thing I like the most, while of course the characters in rdr2 are played by incredible actors, and do resemble their character a little bit, I a lot of the actors rockstar picks ups aren’t even really known. just makes it a million times more immersive than watching a movie with a actor you have seen in 10 other films. Feel me? Like you won’t see Arthur Morgan on instagram lol makes him feel more real I guess

Personally, I don't think Micah setup anything with Colm - mainly because after the mission, there's a chance encounter of Micah walking up to you (Arthur) and apologizing for the whole thing.
and I mean a.. genuine-ish apology, I know, I know; "don't trust Micah ever" but in that scene; the man definitely gives the tone of an actual apology atleast.

I just noticed in the video, during the o Driscoll chapter where you're kidnapped in the video, in the clip of the Pinkertons confronting everyone on the camp site in the background you see Micah leaving/walking away behind them, pretty sus how the more evil of the group, alleged mole, just walks away in front of the pinkertons, a man who wasn't about to be hanged in strawberry not too long ago in the time line.🤔 Doubt he just snuck by, too chill just walking away like that with no attention on him.
See i like to think of Arthur as a man so fully dedicated to the gang making them his cause for living the way he does so he can be that wall that protects the gang from the world and in the end arthur fought tooth and nail for what he believed in brutal or not it was justified as necessary. In the end i dont think arthur was ever an evil man, brutal and ruthless sure, cold-hearted? Nah he’s as pure as the sun rise is long, he just got stuck in between an unfortunate rock in an even more unfortunate hard place which in my opinion was the driving force along with his TB that gave him insight into the life he lived and the bad things he’s done in the name of the gang. On the outside he is a very cold and has little passion for those in his way but deep down i feel that all the bad things arthur has done he himself never wanted to do them but justified the actions for the gang even though he knew just how horrible they were. Truly a masterfully crafted character. ❤

Can’t just be me that thinks Dutch was right to kill the old lady as 1.she pulled a knife out and 2. She would’ve definitely ratted if they didn’t pay her more. And Brontë the guy literally tried stitching the gang up and was a criminal himself. The main issues I had with Dutch was him leaving John multiple times, using the native Americans as bait and siding with Micah over Arthur.
What Micah says “big shadow, tiny tree” can describe himself perfectly, before chapter 6 Micah’s role is so minimal (tiny tree) but everytime he was in a mission something bad always happened (big shadow) but in chapter 6 you can say Arthur took that role in Dutch’s POV, Arthur is not in a lot of the missions and everytime he is, something bad happens. I may be looking way too deep into this
It's a saying that means the opposite. Which can also apply to Micah. Its an insult meaning someone has a big image or presence (big shadow) but in reality they are actually small and/or irrelevant. Micah talks a big game yet he didn't contribute anything good do the gang other than the minimal (assisting in the occasional shootout).

Guarma certainly didnt help his health, fighting wise. If he had of left the gang when he got his diagnosis, and went to California or Mexico way. He would have had a much longer life, according to the doctor recommending somewhere warm and dry and plenty rest. Or evenif he had of run off with Mary when he had the chance. Things would have been much different.
Arthur would’ve stopped Micah or kept him in check. I think he would have stood up to Dutch when he went over the deep end, protecting most of the gang and having a better ending.
Possibly Micah was an O'Driscol all along. Then Fed Pinkertons after Guarma.

So i just finished this game for the first time and it quickly jumped to one of my favorite games ever..... my only gripes were the ending was spoiled everywhere unfortunately so it ruined the impact and chapter 5 but luckily its only a few missions

I think if Arthur didn’t have tb he would have ended Micah and tried to re unite the gang and keep them together and get everyone out safe and maybe we would have gotten more chapters following Arthur’s story or it still would’ve followed John after chapter 6 but Arthur would’ve been a dominant side character after 6 if that was the case

I think if Arthur never got sick he would get the women and children out I think Micah would of still got in Dutch’s ear because I feel like he was always that way just hid it away also Hosea I think would of died still in my opinion he was meant to die to explain the events of the first red dead where the gang fell apart but I think Arthur would of went back after saving the women and children with Sadie making sure they get out John would show back up just before Arthur enters the camp and they both go to end things grim Shaw wouldn’t have died Arthur would get her out as well so as they confront Dutch and Micah with Arthur being healthy he would say Micah is a rat but with Dutch being mad about Arthur getting the women and children out so Micah would still get in his ear and they would all point guns at both of them except Javier he saw them as brothers as shown his gun was in the air but anyway before any shots get fired between the two the Pinkertons still show up and it plays out how it was but when we get to the mountain Arthur gives John his last words and does sacrifice play so John leaves and Micah shows up but Arthur gains the advantage and Dutch shows up and says his words but he ends up walking away and during that distraction Micah shoots Arthur and he rolls down the hill ending the scene with Micah walking away and everything plays out how it did with the epilogue only thing is Charles says to John he couldn’t find Arthur’s body but he is presumed dead than when John goes to confront Micah Dutch still shoots Micah and he lets them have the money okay now the first red dead happens all the same John dies at the end but when jack goes to find Ross jack tells Ross that you thought you killed the last member of the gang than jack says well you forgot about me Ross says you know Arthur death was a mystery because they never found a grave or body of him dying and we would hear stories of people matching his description than jack shoots him but an old friend shows up months later Charles and Charles tells him come on lets go they than go to horseshoe overlook and there Arthur is sitting on a log overlooking the river old grey hair and he tells jack I figured I should get out too and he tells jack about how he married Mary and had kids then they go back to Arthur’s house where Mary is with his kids then you get the red dead redemption title and enter into free roam with jack able to go back and greet Arthur and Mary and the kids okay going back to RDR2 Arthur didn’t have to die for redemption I believe he would had his redemption with the sacrifice play he than faked his death and contacted Mary and they did there own thing he would be an interesting thing if this how it played out it would of been nice for sure

Nah, dawg. In my opinion, Micah always had something on the side with the O'Driscoll's because:
1. He shot that guy in the Jail Cell ( "He was an O'Driscoll" Almost like, he didn't want him to say anything that would even hint to Arthur that they were together
2. He then stated "he heard" they had a camp around there.
3. Micah magically asks Arthur to come with him to grab that "Peace Offering " for Dutch, then all those O'Driscoll's attack
4. He clearly trusted Micah to some degree because why wouldn't he of just shot Micah knowing he was rolling with Dutch? Plus, how would he be comfortable enough to know Micah would actually follow through with i. And, not just double-cross him, instead of his own gang?
5. Arthur is once again set up, and it involves the O'Driscoll's and Micah was around )
6. Micah always states he is a "Survivor" And, a part of that goes to making sure you have all of your "bases" covered. Also being able to read people/situations to a degree would help. He could easily have had something with Pinkerton's, Colm and Dutch, just to make sure whomever was the last standing, he could just fall in with them, since no one would be none the wiser about it.
There is more than this, but I don't feel like typing all that much more, but I think you get my point.
Arthur Morgan tells folk that he kills folk who need killing, but never fully defines what exactly he deems worthy. I think the more that Dutch unravels the more that Arthur realizes he hadnt been killing 'bad guys' the whole time. Hearing that Dutch unalived an innocent person in Blackwater shook Arthur, but he rationalized it. Then when Dutch does it infront of his eyes, Arthur starts to see the scope of their actions.
In other news, the van horn mansion glitch still works, and only requires that two drunken sleeping strangers get loosed from their mortal woes. They are bad folk tho, as you dont lose karma and they are in a run down mansion with dubious amounts of money... morality saved.
I feel weird saying I felt bad for how Arthur kicked Strauss out. Everyone in the gang was responsible for robbing folk and killing men who just do their job. Guarding a wealthy man’s things doesn’t make you not innocent. Kicking Strauss out the way he did didn’t even pay any justice, he didn’t know why really and it was just so sudden. Honestly I was only happy with it because I blame him for Arthur getting TB
I belive things wouldve gone one of two ways, arthur wouldve eventually snapped at micah and his games and split his wig very publically or he wouldve got him away somehow, and done him in quietly, possibly on pretense of a job, possibly for his own gratification ensuring micah knew he was the one who ended him, and simply reported to the rest of the gang micah was KIA

For me, something big about guarma, is that it plants the seeds of Dutch’s willingness to take advantage of the plights of natives for his own gain, first with the revolution in guarma, then with the Native American revolution back in america

I am pretty sure the reason Micah is absent for most of the Lemoyne chapter is because for some reason Rockstar allows the player to progress super far into the story without actually breaking Micah out of jail and having him rejoin the gang. So he isnt there for most of the chapter cause it is possible for the player to not even rescue him that far in.
Arthur has to die for the story to be as impactful as it is. You would be throwing out all of his late game character development if we don't see him die when he does. The suggestion is rather astounding

Arthur 25+ years of loyalty and following dutch,an original founding member of the Van der Linde gang vs Micah with 6-9 months,Dutch spouted loyalty as the first and most important virtue but he was disloyal to everyone in the gang in favor of Micah, he abandoned John and Arthur two of his original "sons" to thier fates, abandoned his relationship with Susan in favour of Molly and possibly other women before that,was making googly eyes at Mary Beth and allowed both Molly and Susan to die and Dutch was basically a narcissistic snake and Micah fed into that more than anyone.
Micah wasn't wrong as far as keeping the women around, they should have been cutloose as Arthur tried to also convince Dutch to do this. Should have let them go and do their thing, that way they can focus on kicking ass without any risk of the women and Jack getting killed, or captured and used as leverage.

Personally I always felt author was slowly going downhill after half the game he was dying of course but yes I always thought author single handedly could have killed every gang member if need be and possibly the Pinkertons but not sick he was too weak. John wasn’t there yet he wasn’t on authors level yet

Micah wasn't so brave as long as Arthur was healthy (or at least appeared healthy, since we know how long he was sick, but that barely showed). You could sit in the camp and have him locked in and he like everyone else was getting nervous about it, but that's it. In Beaver's he'd start to push you for that.
Plus he openly mocks and discredits Arthur's authority once Arthur gets visibly sick.
