In this quick look video we show you some of the newest pumps from GRI which you're likely to see in some future iSUP packages. We also talk about some of the GRI pumps that are already being used in iSUP packages around the world.
GRI are one of the worlds biggest pump manufacturers, and their pumps are used across a wide range of brands. iSUP pumping is becoming easier for sure, and our first impressions of the latest HP8 and HP9 pumps are that GRI have definitely been working hard on getting their pumps to inflate faster and more comfortable to use in 2020.
Remember a quick look video is not a full review. It's to highlight what's new or whats about to come out on the market in the coming months.
Look out for our comparison test using these pumps soon.

Hi, I've been using a hp6 for a few years now, and recently got another board with a hp8, as has a friend. My friend struggled with the height of it. Im 6-2 so im fine, i suggested 3/4 strokes to him, but when around 15psi, the hp8 is noticeably tougher to use than the hp6. I often think that those who all want electric pumps are just being lazy, but I do now think perhaps they just have the wrong pump for them. How about a new video showing a comparison between pumps which tackles strength required, pump height as well as speed? Some people also need just a "topping up" pump, something easy to use at higher pressure. Perhaps after they've used an electric to a point, or if they have a big hand pump and want a gentle top up without being hercules. For me hp6 is the best, but a really easy to use (i.e. little strength required) option would be useful to many I'm sure. Many thanks and keep up the good work!

Are these disposable or is there somewhere to buy replacement seals ?

All the seals should definitely be replaceable and standard sizes.

@@SUPboardermag Any leads? I need a shaft seal to keep my HP2 working (two years old) and can't find a website for GRI nor anywhere else selling seals. Makes me think that I should make available repair kits the top priority for any pump purchase and also choose retailers that carry the kits or seals for their pumps.

@@ceeweedsl Yes this is a very good point and something we have noted and will find out about for future reviews. I have replaced seals in the passed but I got them on line form a seal specialist.

@@SUPboardermag I found an email for GRI printed on the pump and they are trying to help. But they are in China. Replacement parts availability is something to keep in mind. I see that Red Paddle co does seem to carry seals for their pumps.
