PSG did not play bad, it's just that Newcastle played better and the atmosphere definitely helped them a lot. Hard to lose at home when you have a crowd like that roaring and supporting you like that for 90 minutes.

Unbelievable atmosphere in there tonight i grew up on champions league nights at St James going with my dad to the cathedral on the hill and feeling the magic of CL matches at ST James and last night taking my son there for him to experience it is just pure magic.
You have to applaud the ownership for the way they invested in the club. They didn't start buying superstars for every position and hired a new 5 star manager. They worked with what they had, they worked to understand the club and its culture and they are building it from there.
I think Newcastle has the backing of most fans. I'm a Man U fan (like that's a plus right now), our postie is a Spurs fan, there are legions of Chelsea and Liverpool fans around this area with Arsenal thrown in but, whoever you ask, they've all got a soft spot for Newcastle. Probably for the fans on nights like this.

I went to this match with me dad i was so lucky to get tickets ... was one of the best nights I had with me dad he's 77 years old n he said he never thought he would see this again in his life. We wore lucky enough to go to the league cup final against man United aswell but this was the best atmosphere I have ever felt I still get goosebumps thinking about it.
My first game at St James park 1998 when my dad took me at 3 years old and to be there that night when we battered PSG with my dad and me taking him to the football was amazing the atmosphere was unreal and to experience it with the man who made me a Newcastle United fan is something I will never forget
