I used to be an active practitioner of core shamanism in my 20s. I learn it from a person who used to study under Michael Harner. Later in life I moved into the practice of Vajrayana Buddhism, because I felt that core shamanism was not able to take me beyond a certain point. Regardless, I found core shamanism to be an useful entry point into spiritual practice: easy to approach, focused on experience over dogma and relatively safe.
This takes me back! I knew Michael Harner’s son, Jim, in the 70s in California’s East Bay. We were part of a (very) loosely-organized group that did political satire. I knew and studied with Sandra Ingerman in the 80s in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was a very nice person and a great teacher. RIP, Dr. Harner. You helped a lot of people. Enjoy your sojourn in whichever world you’ve chosen to exist now.
Most splendid, as ever, dear lady. In answer to your question, yes, please do expand your series by going into greater depth on the foundational topics you raise. We also appreciate how much effort it takes to put together a presentation like this and are most grateful that you are doing it.
I'm truly moved by your comment, thank you so much for appreciating my work! Your support is essential to keep my channel going. More videos will come for sure. ^_^
Often, in Trance states, a vision mighty indicate which world you have visited. Going down world be a symbol of the underworld, ground level =conscious levels and going up could mean a Superconscious experience.
i envision that to go to the lower world i fall into a pool of water. as i sink i go upside down. then there is ground beneath my feet and i can walk and now in the lower world. for middle i envision turning 180 while stepping back. when i turn to look behind me where i was is just wall. like a mirror of the real world everything reverse. for upper i envision climbing a tree cus i did recently and i liked how if i focus more on grabbing a branch i can climb better than if i look at what im doing with my feet. once im so high im in the clouds i keep going indefinitely. the barrier is not a physical one but an endless fog. i think there is a riddle or mystery i must know to get past the fog or else it is endless.
The topic of Shamanism is very deep! I love your video Angela! =) I am very interested in hearing more about your field studies in Italy with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies!
If I may add there's also Cord Cutting and Psychopomp which are major aspects of Core Shamanism. I'd like to see a video about Castanada and his stories with Don Juan.

Just like humans to pigeon hole a very rare and sacred calling. Any real shaman would never call him or herself a shaman, its to restrictive. The shamanic journey is not the only method of alternate consciousness. You don't lose parts of your soul its a more of a reconnection or disconnection. Sounds like what you've been reading is out dated and mostly wrong. You don't one day wake up and decide I'm going to be a shaman. The soul of a shaman is not shamanic, it just uses these kind of practices to achieve designed goals of that incarnation.

Thank you for your comment. It's a brilliant idea, I'll do that!
Mesay20yr Yes! Don Juan’s teachings seem to have been forgotten by the current occult scene.
Um, Castaneda was a fraud; thought everyone knew that. ....and somehow you spelled his name incorrectly too.
