Camelworks he atack my follower so I don’t trust them they will throw spears and will start dying from my follower
awesome video i preffer the range one to but a few of them use mellee and can equipt a greatsword they use it as a spear x3
Thanks so much for showing this. I had such a grudge against those creatures from my time playing Morrowind, I didn't even consider helping them. I'm on a new playthrough and it it looks like i'll be heading to Solsthiem (never tried to spell it before, i know it's wrong) a lot earlier in this one. So much appreciation for this information!!!

At first it's funny how the chief speaks but if you really think about it, he really is incredibly smart. Even just knowing ahead of time that you might not know what "redgrass" is and giving you the scathecraw as clarification is really interesting
I wish there were more of these sorts of "join the clan" style quests (and that some of them cancelled others out, like joining the imperials after killing the emperor in the DB *looks at MATN* )

He wanted you to kill him so that you would be recognised as leader and make sure his tribe survived and prospered under the protection of the dragonborne.

My female Orc uses Forsworn Armor of the Gods gauntlets, boots, Savior's Hide and Aetherium Crown. In the bitter snow areas I throw on Skaal coat, boots and gloves ha ha. Archery is great for my play through.
Dragonborn, follower, Reikling, 2 summons, and 6 spiders. You're now invincible.
What's the best combo of spiders though

Wish they had used the Dragonborn DLC as an excuse to add spears into Skyrim...
There are mods that do it, but none of them work particularly well.

javelins or darts as already pointed out. But likewise we have a bardiche in the form of executioner's axe.
They have spears in fallout new vegas among other throwing weapons and i don't think it would've been hard to add them.
Having a reikling follower pick up and use the giant club at that one camp is like the best thing ever

The only other downside to a Riekling Follower is that they can friendly fire you... So if you kit them out to the max, there is a chance that you can get killed by them. This has happened to me a few times.
there is actually one more type of riekling warrior. their appearance is just like the chief, wearing the feathered helmet and animal pelt. however, they only use two-handed greatswords
don't forget this dude equips greatswords as spears, the giant club is used as a greatsword give him a giant's club and let the fun begin.
Pro tip: If you give the fella Auriel's Bow and Sunhallowed Arrows, the Riekling Boi becomes an absolute beast, raining down exploding hell on whoever gets in your way
After about a 4 years I've decided to come back to Skyrim (..in the process of transferring my 400+hr xbox360 savegame to PC) and I'm super happy to see someone is still producing Skyrim content after so many years.

I have more hours in Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim than any other games I've ever played.........never completed the main story in ANY of them. Currently playing Oblivion again, lol
Show the Rieklings to your kids they will ask if that’s your pet, then they will say it looks scary and won’t ask to keep it, well, I’m not pointing names..Samuel. But the Rieklings are “beast”
There is also a melee variant of the rickling warrior that can be equipped with a greatsword. But they dont spawn at the mead hall. You need to wait untill they randomly yoin your battle. Then you can recruit them.

I was torn on whether to help the Nords or Reiklings, but since is the ONLY opportunity to get Reikling followers/pets, those Nords are as good as dead, lol.
I'm going to have to make a war-party focused Build.
High-powered normal follower, dual summoned entities and Riekling pet...
you can recruit more than one Riekling, i think it is 3 or 5, can't remember, also level up conjuration to get the dual souls perk
SniperSpy10 Breton Battlemage, Two Dremora Warlords(or Storm Atronachs/Wrathmen), Miscellaneous Followers and a handful of pets(obviously ending with Rieklings).
I'm not finished with the exact character yet(I got a little bored with Skyrim and made a few farms in Minecraft), but I think I'll use summoned weapons along with heavy armor and a shield(Restoration/Illusion will definitely be required as well).
Then you use Brelyna Maryon as the follower (she can summon atronachs) and have two necromancer dead thralls, using, then the Aethereal Crown with the Ritual Stone in it...
Follow these instructions and you will easily be able to explode your computer
I'm doing pretty much the same build, give all your companions and dead thralls atronach staffs and they'll use them frequently right at the start of a battle

I like how you can also give them any great sword and they use it to stab at enemies with it like a spear
I love these little guys! Small groups will follow you around the island in certain parts.
This is a Surprisingly Good Pet
Oh and you might as well just go to Raven Rock to get the Scathecraw. There is TONS of it growing on the sides of entries.
I have to wonder, where exactly are your enemy's schnitzels? Do only one gender have them? These are important questions.
Ran into those Reiklings by accident and ran that quest, hilarious. But when I gave him legendary armor and my second best bow the little bugger can take out a dragon in about 6 shots, and is deadly accurate. The first dragon we came across he brought down to land with 4-5 shots, then stole my kill when I tried running up to finish it off.
I think I'm going to craft him up a set of +archery gear, might be able to get him to one shot a dragon.
Rieklings are some scary little bastards. I once tried luring the beach werebears into a nearby camp, expecting a slaughter. Well, there was one. None of the werebears made it out alive, and I hightailed it out with a bunch of spears in my back. o__o

I gave my warrior (the headdress one) a giant’s club. 146 damage seemed nice 😂
Some Rieklings will also use greatswords. While it's more common for those ones to be the ones from random battles, there are some at the mead hall. The archers either have a bundle of three spears, or a shorter spear, and the melee ones have a longer spear. The melee ones can equip greatswords. Which can be helpful if you want to avoid getting killed by your own Riekling, though they have to get close to an enemy to damage them in that case, making them all but useless against dragons most of the time.
Is it possible to give them the Bloodskal Blade? Hopefully they use power attacks, lol.

Did the quest, got the warrior, gave him full suit plus jewelry and bow as well as 3000 arrows. Went into a dungeon, somewhere along the way he disappears from behind me and 2 minutes later prompt tells me my follower has left. I go back to the mead hall and the Riekling I had is nowhere to be found. Now there’s a Riekling warrior with thousands of gold worth in gear roaming Skyrim with a bow that can two shot mammoths...
This seems op and I just got this quest done cant wait for one of these guys
I have the playable riekling race, which gives summoning riekling spells, a mounted boar rider, range, and melee. I have the riekling player home, which with the multiple follower mods, I can recruit multiple of them. Then doing the missions on top of all that for the Chief... lets just say I control Solhstiem now.

The rieklings that support you for the perk I found out that you can have one of those rieklings as a pett and rieklings can also hold greatswords I gave mine a deadric greatesword I like having the riekling as a pet
Now Enchant the bow with Chaos damage too and your Riekling will become the new Dragonborn ultimate companion!
Now I wanna see the Reikling kill a dragon. Can they use crossbows & bolts as well?
No but you can absolutely give them greatsword that they will Jab at enemies with

I'm not sure why, but sometimes, when I'm in combat, random Riekling will show up to fight for me.

I do equip my Riekling some arrows, but I also give him his spears that he can use them to fight enemies in close quarters and very effective since my Riekling warrior killed a couple of orc bandits hand to hand, these little guys are tough fighters.

If the Chief is not killed, the rieklings randomly appear to help. EDIT: They also come in groups from 1-3
I found some unique gauntlets that are part of vampire king armor.Here is how to find them.
1You must have Dawnguard DLC.
2You must visit castle Volkhixar's back part and enter the secret entrance(it is part of a quest).
3At the first part when you should use lever to open the 1st gate,near it are stairs and near them are shelves and on them are that gauntlets.
They are unique and can be found only in that place.No NPC has them equipped.They are represented as light armor.
They Are vampiric gauntlets.
Hearing rieklings mutter is absolutely outstanding
So if you can go back and pick up the arrows, does that technically make the riekling a source of infinite arrows?

If the Riekling is using a bow, the arrows he uses do not get magically replaced in his inventory like they would if he were not using a bow. Same as when a regular follower uses their default bow (infinite arrows) vs a BA god mode upgraded bow you gave them. Keeps things balanced :) So in short: no bow= infinite, bow= finite but more damage. Like Camel said. The arrows you pick up off the ground while he's using a bow will need to be given back to him unless you want him to go around slapping people with an arrowless bow.

Wow. My sauron build now is completed. 2 orc bandit chiefs. A follower orc, a riekling and me, 5 warriors plus the occasional ritual stone.

At me it has a bug. They r not following me. I cant talk with them. But sometimes they r coming to help and then gone again.

I got 3 weakling followers I don't know why I didn't get the option to pick they seem to just spawn out of nowhere when I'm in battle
I gave my riekling the biggest 2 handed sword I had and it looks so weird seeing a small troll creature wield a weapon twice the size

I don't even know why, but after I did that quest and I tried getting them as a follower, they didn't follow me. So I didn't really care, but then in Markarth, 2 Riekling's spawned right in front of me XD
So if you go the infinite ammo route do the arrows that the little guys throw count as pickupable? like a arrow generator?
