If you chop the nuts up a bit before you add them to the mix it wouldn't crack as much. Also run the knife under hot water, then dry it, it would also be easier to cut without cracking. A trick we use in the restaurant!

we make these twice a week and enhance them by substituting 10g of almond meal with 10 g protein powder and 1 tbsp of cacao with maca powder. we also add some pure vanilla extract and always prepare a double batch:0 Thanks so much for this recipe!

Thank you so much for the recipe. Being a keto myself I made the bars last nite and had a piece for breakfast this morning. Oh my lord it was truly yummilicious. I added some ghee and cacao butter together with coconut oil n used pecans, pistachios n macadamias.

Cashew Nuts are in the higher range of carbs . I may use Macadamia myself. Looks quite easy though and cant wait to make this.

Today, I made the first batch of the energy bars by following your recipe with macadamia nut filling and pumpkin seed topping but I skipped sweetener (because I am not sure stevia doesn't make my glucose rise). My husband and I loved the energy bars. I haven't really had deserts since I started Keto from August 2019. I am so grateful to learn this from your channel. I will check your other recipes and see if there are other simple ones to follow (as I am not a good cook). Thanks a lot, Fan for sharing what you know with us. Btw, I have been a vegetarian since 1996.

Thank you again for this great recipe, I am gonna try it. The only thing what I would add: I love cheshews as well, because they are very sweet , but I have just learnt from Dr. Ekberg on you-tube- cheshews are not so good in a keto diet. First of all high in carbs, and the Omega 3 and 6 ratio also over 1:4 what means better to avoid. The best choise according to dr. Ekberg Macadamia and walnuts and you can eat pumpkin seeds as well. I have started my keto diet only 20 days ago, so I am trying to follow the instuctions. So I am measuring everything and counting caloria ratios. But luckily this energy bar can be done with other seeds as well. It will be sweet anyway, cos the stevia. Thank you again. Best regards Heavenly Angel. Love your way of talking. Calming and pleasant. Anyway your whole personality is very likeable.

I spend a ton of money on keto energy bars. This one looks absolutely perfect. You're completely lovely and I simply adore your beautiful accent.
    Subbed!!!
Great channel. I simply cannot wait to make a couple of double batches of these for the week. My husband will eat them at work instead of getting junk food on the road with the guys from work. That makes me super, duper happy!!! Keto has been a bit of a struggle for my man as he's fit, slim, and everyone around him eats the MAD Diet which I what I call the modern American diet.
Again great channel. You're awesome and God bless you!

    as always, a lovely recipe.
though you may want to try cocoa butter instead of coconut oil and maybe ground flax seed instead of ground almond. the cocoa butter is excellent at staying firm at room temperature, it's gotta get VERY hot for it to melt. the flax would be a bit better of a binder while also making the omega-3 to omega-6 ratio better in the bars themselves.
or you could also use a protein powder. that plus cocoa butter would make them very shelf stable. though i don't see these lasting very long! lol.
i've also heard that cocoa butter is a longer chain saturated fat so it converts to energy better than coconut oil.

These are heavenly. I added salt flakes and used hazelnut butter.

  • @ILOVE2FeelGOOD
    @ILOVE2FeelGOOD 5 ปีที่แล้ว +29

    I have slightly adapted these!
I used hazelnut butter ... added some Ceylon cinnamon and cardamom .... a couple of drops of Doterra orange essential oil (orange goes particularly well with cacao and cardamon) .. used salted peanuts instead of the cashews ... and topped it with cacao butter drops! And as the sweetener I mixed liquid stevia with erythritol and inulin.
They're now in the freezer! So excited and so easy to make ... the runny batter tasted amazing.
Thanks for the inspiration to make these 😇

Hi, thanks for your recipe. I made these today. But my mixture was alot less liquidy than yours. I put only 3 tbsp of coconut oil. I'm not sure if that's the reason. Also the nut based had alot of oil but I didn't add it to my mix. I added only 1.5 tsp of stevia and 5 drops of liquid stevia. End result is a slightly soft energy bar but was not 'melty' so I could bring it out with me.

Cashews compared to others nuts are very high in carbs and depending on how well fat adapted you are could knock you out of ketosis. Macadamias, brazil nuts, walnuts and almonds would be more optimal for a keto snack. Either way, awesome video and a great idea!!
