Was gonna make this public at the end of the month, but y’all ate up the FC video like nobody’s business. Definitely the fastest-growing video I’ve put up so far. Figured there was no point in blue-balling you guys for another month so here’s SC. There’s actually a couple things I want to clean up with 3rd in a Nutshell, but that will probably be out next week.

This series built my childhood and I'm playing Cold Steel 3 rn, but I've never met anyone who knew of the Trails series so I'm very happy. Thank you for introducing me to a community I didn't know existed, hopefully I can find other legend of heroes fans :)

@@weaponsci not a show but a movie based of Second chapter of Trails in the sky ends after chapter 6 and doesn't have the first part training with Anlace it starts at the fight at the School with Baluanc and ends after the reunion of Joshua and Estelle the plot is quite different too but it is worth a watch but the VA isn't bad just standard for a non English thing dubbed in English
The music is also different versions of the game music

The OVA was dubbed inhouse by Sentai Filmworks in Houston, Texas. hence why everyone had a different VA than the games which favors Los Angeles VAs.

I feel that "dickmove, Falcom" about Loewe.
Despite all his build-up, his motivations at the end were kinda lame I thought... But in a way with which you could make an awesome "I realized my ways were lame and now I'm trying to make amend" kind of character journey. Him just dying immediately was quite the let down.
Although I can understand why they did it. I may only be up to Sky 3rd, but I can easily imagine how much having a character like Loewe who knows so much of the society joining the good guys would screw up Falcom's story plans.

Well, actually what happens in Cold steel is different from here. In Cold steel 4 you can choose among any of the girls to bond, and the mc foster sister is just one option ( an unlikely one too, since she isn't playable for most of the game and also there are others who looks way more canonical, like Alisa's or Laura's)

This video actually accurately demonstrates why I like FC over SC unlike seemingly everyone else. Which is the how old the meet new enforcer in the area feels lazy and repeated. I also dislike how comic book evil they come across. In later games they just come across as enemies but not mustache twiling evil.
To be fair, none of the enforcers are 'mustache twirling'. Not a one. Maybe Campanella, but still, each one clearly has their own reasons and traumas.
The Enforcers don't actually fight the first time because they're that far above us at those times, and because let's be real - we'd probably complain about kicking their asses *three* times instead of two (where the first they're clearly holding back). It was a good decision to have them have mooks handle us instead from multiple design fronts.
The fact they don't kill us (sans Walter who stops because of Zin) is proof that they aren't that evil.
@@katomamundara8106 well despite the debate about if they are evil or not, I agree with OP that the way they introduced the organization is really repetitive, it paddles the duration of the game imo, I prefer FC where the plot goes straight to the point while you discover all of the cities of liberl honestly.
I'd say the Enforcers in Sky are still generally better than the ones you meet in Cold Steel (Crossbell doesn't count, you only meet one and Ouroboros is basically a sideshow there), if only because they at least commit to the bit. Walter's an arrogant kung fu bastard, and he only starts respecting you a little when he gets his ass kicked and sad backstory exposed. Renne is a troubled little girl who acts like one, and it's by actually getting to understand her that Estelle manages to save her.
And Loewe is actually given some depth. Like, by the end of the story you get why he does what he does.
Luciola and Bleublanc kinda suck though ngl.

Except that Joshua and Estelle grew up more like childhood friends than siblings, the opposite of Rean and Elise who already where family when Elise was still pretty much a baby so that one is worse. Joshua never saw Estelle as his sister since he was old enough to remember his real family, unlike Rean.
