Loved Kristen's (?spelling) child-like curiosity and wonder. Beautiful to watch. And again, amazing scenery around where you live. Thanks for taking us along.
Kristin is laughing at the child-like curiosity and wonder part haha. She said "you should never lose that in life." Great to hear you enjoyed it Duke! Thanks for flying with us : )
@ 7:09 One thing I learned transitioning from one single-engine type to another (PA-22 to PA-18) was keeping it level with the horizon by looking over the nose wasn't the most reliable way of telling your pitch angle because it's a different view for every aircraft type. Better idea - especially in a high-wing - can be to look out at either wing and see if the bottom surface and the horizon are parallel, then adjust power setting and trim as needed to correct. Over-the-nose view once this is done can be a second check for quick reference rest of the flight, remembering that wing bottom angle is still the best for positive verification.
Well produced and well shot video! I rarely sit through an entire flight video, but I did yours. Love the interaction between you and Kristin. All that and a Pan Am bag too!
Thanks Terry! That's wonderful feedback and it's great to connect with you! The PanAm bag ended up being a better purchase than I ever thought it would be. I would imagine those were the days :D
Thanks Paul! I need to make a video on this camera setup. That just sparked that idea. That camera shot is done with an aluminum pole mounted to the struts and a GoPro Hero Max (360 cam) on the end of it. Pretty wild stuff.
I have a 1946 T-Craft also they are so much fun. At about 4.5 gallons per hour very economical. I like taking off on hard surfaces, but sure like grass for landing nice video.
I helped my father rebuild a Taylorcraft bc12d in the mid-1960s. He decided to try covering it with fiberglass fabric. It took forever to seal the pinholes. When he got the aircraft flying, it acted like a glider and would float in ground effect forever. A few times the tower controller called to ask if he intended to land.
Im just deciding about learning to fly and your channel have been a great blessing to me. From all the other i saw yours just makes me wanna do it more. Thanks and you both are great!
Hey thanks for dropping those kind and encouraging words! Great to connect with you. I highly recommend the book Stick & Rudder for a really fascinating explanation of the airplane and how it flies. It will help jump-start your understanding tremendously.
@@BradySkye hey, so im reading the book and its great. I was wondering, if i can ask, do you know any flight simulator where i could train all of these things before i would get to flight school? I dont think that my notebook would run microsoft flight simulator but any less demanding on graphic. Even just with one small plane. Thanks and have a blessed day
Hi! This was a great informative, real to life video. Flying over the Everglades, I thought, " No, let's go somewhere else" lol This video could be used in ground school as demonstration. Amazing how visuals correlated to physicalities. I really enjoyed this flight( video) All the best Shaun of NYC
I think she might be more comfortable if you took her up in a 182. It would feel a little more substantial for her. I know my Girlfriend feels a lot more comfortable in the 182 compared to a Cub. We do a lot more flying in the 182 as a result. She says it just feels safer to her. But awesome video and really neat to see you guys sharing the experience! CAVU!
I’m Irish, but my Dad and my step mother, lived in St Augustine for 20 years ( until 2001) Beautiful city, maybe that’s what made you such a nice couple lol🤗
The way Kristen handles the T-Craft, she'll be an airline pilot in short order!
Haha I agree. She's great with computers, so she would be a great airline pilot.
Hey what's the name for intro song ?
Kristen you definitely looked like a truck driver.
Lol

Sending our love back to you.
What a great intro, full of life! Great editing.
Thanks so much!

Lucky in love!
Amazing moment built with your wife bro , hope one day I can feel the same with mine💖
Wow, she asked some really good questions that were important. Great seeing that from a "beginner". Enjoyed this.

Wonderful to hear that Shaun! Thanks a million for that detailed feedback! Hope you are doing well.
What is the market price of a similar airplane?
You can get a pretty nice Taylorcraft for between 20-30K.
Thank you!
how did you get the outside shots?
Just had a friend hold on to the side of the plane. 😂 But jokes aside, just GoPro mounts designed for aviation from FlightFlix.
Great …Great T-Craft video…I’ll show it to everyone before they fly with me!
Hey thanks! Glad to hear it. Keep in touch.
Is this an expensive hobby just wondering to how much cost this trip
Yeah that’s why I haven’t been able to fly lately. How much for an hour long rental? About $150 in this plane.
Thanks bro! I wish you more income and flying time🤠
@@gaborszili547 Thanks 🙏🏽 just you supporting my TH-cam and art is a big help! I appreciate you being here. 🎥

Thanks Mark! That's awesome that you and your girlfriend fly as well. If I get enough TH-cam money for more planes to fly I'll gladly try them out! :D
How come there is no numbers on the plane?
numbers on the tail
They’re on the tail
very beautiful 1:58 zooming into the tower while talking to ATC
Good observation there! Nice catch : )
What a beautiful evening to fly around with your sweetie by your side, nice video too.

Everybody wants to be a "movie star". I'll never understand millennials??
If you enjoy creating videos or any kind of art in general, then do it! If you don't enjoy it, then don't. No movie star mentality needed!
