#1 designer perfume for me is YSL Libre Intense. It’s soooo good. My husband wears the original Libre perfume, and together, no one can smell better than us. But I can only wear it in cold weather, otherwise it smells strange.
I agree on a few and disagree on a few. But that is because scent is so subjective (as a few others have said) But still love watching anything about perfumes. I would actually love a guide for dummies on breaking perfumes down, layering, sillage etc.

Versace Noir is one of my staples!! You should give Ariana Grande Cloud ☁️ more kudos because she is producing really nice fragrances at an amazing price point. Not everyone can afford these expensive Fragrances. $100 to $350 is a lot of money. And Cloud is $48 for 1 oz and $70 for 3.5 oz. And you can really score when Ulta has a sale because Coud is usually included. I think it’s wonderful that she’s making great products for all of us to afford. ❤ It is so hard to find something that smells nice for a super affordable price, so way to go, Ariana.!!

I’ve worn Dior’s J’adore since 2000, when I was 16. I love it. I have several others but that will always be my favorite. (I also love the alcohol free version in the white bottle).

You totally sold me on both Baccarat Rouge 540 and Grand Soir. I adore Delina and her La Rosee flanker. Exclusif is a little too creamy on me, and isn't as bright. I like TF Soleil Blanc and Burberry Goddess, but after sitting on the fence for several mo months I'm going to pass on both. Fantastic video - you made me a little more comfortable with some doubts I had on the Burberry.

my health has been so much better lately. a few months ago, i was struggling with energy and feeling off, but now i’ve been waking up early, feeling energized, and hitting my workout goals every single day. i didn’t do anything drastic, just started focusing on feeling healthy and strong. i think it has to do with this book, Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, that i read. it talks about how focusing your energy on your goals really shifts things, and i guess it worked for me.

This was interesting coming from a perfumer. I loved your take on some of these fragrances but I sorta wish you'd have gone on, give us some options for the better alternative. The Tom Ford (personally, I liked the British twist of his name!) Tobacco Vanille is good but synthetic, what others are similar but with natural ingredients? I love me a good men's fragrance, I usually steer toward the men's section and usually find something vanilla-based that really draws my attention! Fragrance Friday - I love it!!
The scent I wore that got the most compliments was Coach Legacy. I was so sad when they discontinued it, but apparently it smelled fantastic with my body chemistry. I like Hypnotic Poison too.

L'Imperatrice is a 10 for me. My pheromones must be tricky bc i try some of the "IT" fragrances that smell good in the bottle but they turn when i wear them and my nose isn't happy. Your thumbnail shows Gucci Bloom and thats another one i like.
Yes please to video explaining the ingredients in perfumes, I can’t stand 99.8% of what’s on store shelves sometimes because it all smells the same and sometimes cause it just gives me a headache, but did find one from Comptoir Sud Pacifique I love and I am awaiting my shipment of your discovery set from Marsté hoping to like one or more of those!

Over the years I've come to appreciate Marlena's videos, especially the ones on perfume. I do like most of the ones that she mentioned. I haven't tried Versace Crystal Noir. I do want to small Crystal Noir and Bright Crystal (I know I'm late because they've been out a while). But also I have seen the TH-cam short for Cosmopolitan where Tyla chooses between a pink bottle (which I think is Tom Ford's Rose Prick) and a bottle that she says is shaped like a big diamond. She says the pink bottle smells like her grandma. Then when she's told it costs $500 she says "My grandma's got some expensive taste." I have wondered if the other bottle that's "shaped like a big diamond" is Versace Bright Crystal? I can't think of another bottle that's shaped like that. So if anyone knows the answer please let me know? Tyla has such an adorable quality about her....but I digress. Thank you Marlena for another great video. I always feel in the mood for some shopping after watching these kind of videos. Lol. Have a great weekend.
There’s a very random choice for you: Violet Eyes by Elizabeth Taylor. I do not like White Diamonds by her and I guess this led me to Violet…. It is soft sweet and lingering not overwhelming. I am a nurse for years now. Was told no fragrance!!!! But I’m a rebel, treading lightly 🥰 but everyone I mean every single person loved this on me patients visitors doctors other staff. It is sweet but light. Yes it’s typically drugstore, now only available online. But I love it so much💞 11/10😊

It's always so interesting how we can smell the same perfume so differently. I loooove vanilla perfumes and had so high hopes for Burberry Goddes because appearently there's 3 vanilla notes in it, but to me it just smells like a sweet lavender, i don't smell any vanilla in that😭
I'd love to see a version of this with more niche fragrances instead of the uber popular ones. I love some of these, too, but I've had a lot of fun exploring more niche fragrances. It's just hard since they can't be smelt in stores here and i can't test longevity.
I would love your opinion of fragrances that are soft that don't give you a headache. Right now, I'm using Victoria's Secret Heavenly. Sometimes I wear Chanel Chance (green one). In the realm of cheap, synthetic, and plastic smelling fragrance’s, Burberry Her is it for me. My teenage daughter recently sprayed this on herself in Ulta. It actually made stomach turn and gave me intense nausea. My daughter loved it and begged me for it but there is no way that I can smell that every day. She normally wears Cloud and that one doesn’t bother me. I agree with you on Libre Intense. I have it in my collection and love it!

My signature scent is Maison Francis Kurkdjian Gran Soir. I got frustrated wearing Baccarat Rouge 540 (Everybody in my office had the perfume) so I ventured to something not mention often.
So many of these are soo expensive but I too have a collection. I love Chanel and have a few, also Tom Ford, lost Cherry is amazing. Wondered what your thoughts are on the Victoria Beckham fragrances. I purchased the samples and OMG they are so beautiful. testing to see which one I like the best then ordering.

You are right about same notes in every designer fragrance. I have tried around all in samples and decant, some i get tired of after buying full bottle. Yet to find my signature scent that doesn't give me headache. You miss Valentino roma it's good everyday scent, that is mentioned alot.
Cherry Punk by Room 1015 i believe is a British scent 12 out of 10 its the first cherry fragrance, the one everyone tries to copy. Burberry Brit is the best 10 out of 10! Blush by kenneth Cole is great 9 out of 10. And Light Blue by Dolce & Gabanna 8 out of 10. . Oh and Fenty is quickly become one of my top favorites 10 out of 10. Something i just tried is Juice by Commodity is beautiful too 8 out of 10
Aren't Aldehydes aka "Synthetics" commonly used the fragrance world. Saying it cheap meanwhile so many high end fragrances use it is a bit of an oxymoron. Also people pheromones and sensory factor due change as we get older. I used to hate certain fragrances like Chanel No 5 which uses Aldehyde when I young and now I have a small collection.
Just a heads up, your graphic for bergamot is wrong. Through the magic of Google mistranslation, the Thai makrut/kefir lime gets translated as bergamot, and the bumpy exotic-looking lime catches attention. Italian bergamot is a light yellow- can be slightly green or orange, round and smooth with a slight cone shape. Look at Farmer’s Almanac for a proper Italian Bergamot. Thai limes are very soapy smelling and tasting.
When I look for a fragrance I want a very fresh with no sweet one. They are very hard to find! Every time I ask a sales person for fresh not sweet they always lead me to a too sweet fragrance. I am so fed up with not being able to find something with almost no sweet. I am 60 years old and I also do not want a fragrance that makes me smell like an old lady! Much Love
What dupes of the Baccarat Rouge did you give a pass? I can only afford the $40-$50 dupes unfortunately. I tried ALT fragrances, and I like it..but im not 100% sure this is the best dupe out there. If you can help, I would appreciate 😊
What do you think about Gypsy Water? I have no sense of smell and I’m looking for something that I can wear all the time and not worry about it interfering with whatever scent is in my hair etc
It's very light... It's pretty, but it fades so fast for that price point :(. Have you tried glossier you? It's a musk but very wearable for everyday if you want a good skin scent and it's much cheaper
@ no but I’m going to take your suggestion. I ordered the oil which just came in because I didn’t want to spend that miss and not like it. Took it with me to my appt and had my stylist smell it on me and herself. She said it smelled good but very very light. I just asked her to sniff it and see if she can still smell it. (She’s currently doing someone else so I guess I’ll be waiting on my answer)
I love scents but Glossier and Baccarat Rouge ilicits nausea with me, I dont know what it is that repulses me 🤔 . Im 57yo and the scent that garnered compliments was 90s Romeo Gigli (in the genie shaped bottle) .
Yes, on the Delina la Rosee. I tried lots and lots of samples to find something that did not turn into yuck on my skin. I have weird skin that does unspeakable things to otherwise great perfume. The Delina is my #2 scent with Ormonde Jayne Damask as #1.

Those aren't my favorites... They're not bad at all, but they aren't unique enough to me. Out of these 3 though, Valentino is better- just my opinion :)

A real classic is CoCo Chanel honestly it doesn't smell like the others & will suit any age range.

I love Replica’s Coffee Break. It’s the only fragrance I wear that my husband actually likes.

I'd love to see a version of this with more niche fragrances instead of the uber popular ones. I love some of these, too, but I've had a lot of fun exploring more niche fragrances. It's just hard since they can't be smelt in stores here and i can't test longevity.
I would love your opinion of fragrances that are soft that don't give you a headache. Right now, I'm using Victoria's Secret Heavenly. Sometimes I wear Chanel Chance (green one). My favorite notes are vanilla, amber, coconut, nothing too fru fru. I purchased your Marste Essence Vanille but I'm not sure what to layer it with.

I bought two on Internet hype, and they turned out to be major hits based on smell, dry down, longevity, and projection (ex. Lattafa Khamrah and Lattafa Yara).
The newest fragrances that I have tried is the Victoria Beckham combo pack. 4 different scents.. they are all so phenomenal!

In the realm of cheap, synthetic, and plastic smelling fragrance’s, Burberry Her is it for me. My teenage daughter recently sprayed this on herself in Ulta. It actually made stomach turn and gave me intense nausea. My daughter loved it and begged me for it but there is no way that I can smell that every day. She normally wears Cloud and that one doesn’t bother me.

English Pear and Sweet Pea is nice. MUST try Pomegranate Noir. You will be pleasantly surprised.

My signature scent is Maison Francis Kurkdjian Gran Soir. I got frustrated wearing Baccarat Rouge 540 (Everybody in my office had the perfume) so I ventured to something not mention often.
So many of these are soo expensive but I too have a collection. I love Chanel and have a few, also Tom Ford, lost Cherry is amazing. Wondered what your thoughts are on the Victoria Beckham fragrances. I purchased the samples and OMG they are so beautiful. testing to see which one I like the best then ordering.

You are right about same notes in every designer fragrance. I have tried around all in samples and decant, some i get tired of after buying full bottle. Yet to find my signature scent that doesn't give me headache. You miss Valentino roma it's good everyday scent, that is mentioned alot.
Cherry Punk by Room 1015 i believe is a British scent 12 out of 10 its the first cherry fragrance, the one everyone tries to copy. Burberry Brit is the best 10 out of 10! Blush by kenneth Cole is great 9 out of 10. And Light Blue by Dolce & Gabanna 8 out of 10. . Oh and Fenty is quickly become one of my top favorites 10 out of 10. Something i just tried is Juice by Commodity is beautiful too 8 out of 10

Aren't Aldehydes aka "Synthetics" commonly used the fragrance world. Saying it cheap meanwhile so many high end fragrances use it is a bit of an oxymoron. Also people pheromones and sensory factor due change as we get older. I used to hate certain fragrances like Chanel No 5 which uses Aldehyde when I young and now I have a small collection.
Just a heads up, your graphic for bergamot is wrong. Through the magic of Google mistranslation, the Thai makrut/kefir lime gets translated as bergamot, and the bumpy exotic-looking lime catches attention. Italian bergamot is a light yellow- can be slightly green or orange, round and smooth with a slight cone shape. Look at Farmer’s Almanac for a proper Italian Bergamot. Thai limes are very soapy smelling and tasting.

When I look for a fragrance I want a very fresh with no sweet one. They are very hard to find! Every time I ask a sales person for fresh not sweet they always lead me to a too sweet fragrance. I am so fed up with not being able to find something with almost no sweet. I am 60 years old and I also do not want a fragrance that makes me smell like an old lady! Much Love
What dupes of the Baccarat Rouge did you give a pass? I can only afford the $40-$50 dupes unfortunately. I tried ALT fragrances, and I like it..but im not 100% sure this is the best dupe out there. If you can help, I would appreciate 😊

It's very light... It's pretty, but it fades so fast for that price point :(. Have you tried glossier you? It's a musk but very wearable for everyday if you want a good skin scent and it's much cheaper
@ no but I’m going to take your suggestion. I ordered the oil which just came in because I didn’t want to spend that miss and not like it. Took it with me to my appt and had my stylist smell it on me and herself. She said it smelled good but very very light. I just asked her to sniff it and see if she can still smell it. (She’s currently doing someone else so I guess I’ll be waiting on my answer)

I love scents but Glossier and Baccarat Rouge ilicits nausea with me, I dont know what it is that repulses me 🤔 . Im 57yo and the scent that garnered compliments was 90s Romeo Gigli (in the genie shaped bottle) .
Yes, on the Delina la Rosee. I tried lots and lots of samples to find something that did not turn into yuck on my skin. I have weird skin that does unspeakable things to otherwise great perfume. The Delina is my #2 scent with Ormonde Jayne Damask as #1.
Interesting u say that Cloud smells plastic and yet sooo many ppl say baccarat 540 smells very. medicinal 🤷♀️
I can't stand either of those, just don't understand the hype.
