I moved to a different and much smaller city about 6 months ago. Since then I’ve more than doubled the number of daily steps I take, and I found out recently that my triglycerides are now at 130, compared to 250+ before I relocated.

A 2 minute video is the best! Go find one that rattles on for 10 or 20 minutes, if that's what you'd like.

Walk after you eat! In a famous Hadeeth, Rasulullah mentioned “Don’t sleep on your food”. This saying is interpreted as not to sleep after we eat. Walking after eating helps the digestion process. With a minimum of 40 steps, we should feel better in the stomach area (after a burp or two. Yikes!).. This was 1400 years ago.. eemmmm

I heard you should wait 20-30 minutes after a meal so you give your intestines enough blood supply to work efficiently. While walking you're taking away from your blood supply via arms and legs. So let your blood supply to your stomach work first and walk after.

RELAX MOMENTS are necessary and healthy. Quality movement and alternating it with rest, is healthy. But you have to alternate activity with rest: Rest-Movement-Rest-Movement-... I'm tired of only valuing movement, which has produced a lot of stress and therefore all kinds of physical and mental illnesses in this society... Walking after a meal is not a good idea because your Gut is on movement and needs blood and relax...

This does NOT apply for dogs, goats, etc. Walking them after eating will lead to their stomachs twisting, and filled with so much gas that it will literally unalive them if not taken to the vet immediately.

So it's better to eat before you exercise, then it is to exercise and then eat? I'm just getting started on a gradual increase walking exercise of 2,000 steps per day, hoping to reach 10,000 steps a day sometime in the future way down the road Ha! Ha!. I'm 70 so weight and exercise are important to me and for everyone regardless of what age, but I'm talking about me, so I'll stick to that.
It has also been recommended that I not exceed 2,000 calories a day, which is a first for me just to start watching them. I came along to your video just when I was questing exactly what your video was talking about and lift this comment to make sure I had it straight. Unfortunately my first walk of 400 steps was done before I ate, but the next time I go out / x 5, 4 more to go will get me my 2,000 steps for today.
So I think I'll split everything up in 5's, including my calorie intake, each trip I get 400 calories, then I walk. It's usually light until 7 or even 8 in the evening, so that would be 400 steps every 2 1/2 hours. If I'm on track or need to consider other things please advise. Thank you for the video and tip, hope to watch more have not subbed yet but will as soon as possible, maybe I'll do it right now. What a idea before I forget as usual, short term memory is totally shot, Ha ! Ha ! bye.

You can walk immediately after a meal if it’s slow paced, while some may find that they prefer to wait 15-20 minutes after eating. Listen to you body!

It’s better for weight loss to eat until full no more than 3 times per day. I eat twice, late morning and early evening and have lost 73 pounds in 16 months. Eating multiple times a you have described causes your body to burn glucose instead of fat.

One of the stupidest things I ever heard, no carnivores take a walk after eating. You eat, you digest, give your body time to process the food. Ever watched animal documentaries, what do the animals do after a meal? They rest. Use common sense people.

I too like my siestas after eating, but you have to realize that one size doesn’t fit all. The video maker should realize this also. How active a person is before eating makes a difference. The size of a person makes a difference. The fitness level makes a difference. Your hydration level makes a difference. What you’re eating makes a difference. The medicines you take makes a difference. For an over weight couch potato eating doughnuts and sugar drinks walking probably is a good idea after eating. A lean carnivore that chased its meal down to catch it before eating it doesn’t need a walk after eating……
