Excellent video, Saul! What a great solution to the previously otherwise complicated BB setup! I'm curious: why is the press tool so long in length? Is it not a bike specific (only) tool? Thanks!
@@velotiqueBetterWatchSaul No threads, only pressed in from one side. Doesn't work with every bb design of course, especially not with standard BSA/ITA.
@@velotiqueBetterWatchSaul Namely Hambini, BBinfinite (for PF30 and similar), but traditionally Octalink was/is also practically a single piece-bb, even if it has the threaded sleeve/collar put in from the other side.
@@velotiqueBetterWatchSaul Hambini Engineering is an interesting solution to a deformed or maligned BB because he has actually custom made (requires sending frame in) BB shells for bikes that are out of spec. More expensive than a stock threaded BB, but if you are stuck with a frame that will cost thousands to replace, then might be the best option.
Do not use carbon paste. Wheels MFG clearly says to avoid carbon paste with this BB. The treaded portion holds it in place. It needs to slide easily into the Bottom bracket shell in your frame in order for the threaded portion of BB to be tightened properly.
Are you sure its the BB creaking, pedals , chainring and other parts may be responsible. Some things to check: BB shell was clean and well greased, prior to installation, cups fully tightened, seals greased, bb spindle greased.
Why does unscrewing Shimano inserts from Sram adapter results in a possible damage to the frame? I know that in case of a regular PF30 in a plastic cup one may take out the bearings first and then remove the cups, sometimes just replace the bearings whilts leaving the cups in frame, etc.
The pressure that holds the SRAM adapter is insufficient to prevent slippage when unscrewing the threaded Shimano cup. The resulting slippage can damage the inside of the BB shell in your frame.
Has anybody 'felt' how smooth WHEELS MANUFACTURING BB'S re compared to CANE CREEK or even CHRIS KING? (don't chime in stupidly if you have not, stay quiet)
Another great video!
Thank you. I'm glad you found it informative.
Is it serviceable? Could make a video about it? Thanks

Yes, it is a specific bike tool. It comes that way for various sized BB and leverage.
Don't forget the single-piece (or practically single piece) bbs for maximum performance :)
I'm not sure what you mean by single-piece bbs.

Interesting.

if your frame is carbon, should you use carbon paste instead of grease,so the bttom bracket is not will not slide out easily?

How do I fix my hydralic bike breaks? What I mean is my brake lever can touch my handlebar when i break hard and hard breaking isnt hard
If pumping the lever dose not bring back braking pressure, you will probably need to bleed your brakes.
@@velotiqueBetterWatchSaul Pump the lever? Meaning?
Squeeze the brake lever repeatedly.
@@velotiqueBetterWatchSaul You the man no cap, should def post some more vids but anyways best of luck to you good sire
Thank you.
I have a Wheels Manufacturing thread together bb. BB area still creaks on pedal pressure.

What is the best BB for praxis zayante carbon crankset? How is kogel bearings?
Sorry, I'm not familiar with those.

Best way to avoid any broblems with your pressfit BB bike :
Just don’t buy one ☝🏻
