    Oh my god did we just get full-body Pocket assaulting a ladder?
    That was intimidating, you clambered around that like a terminator. Wow.
    Even after that I still can't tell if you're 24 or 64.
    It's a compliment I promise!

    The bit at the end about the screw through and screw to holes is probably some of the smartest carpentry stuff I've ever heard, and you just casually throw it out there. Honestly, that would be worth a whole video to me.

      Thank you. And don't worry; another (likely more popular) TH-camr will probably be using it in one of their videos next month, I'm sure. One of the caveats of being faceless.

    I did this ion my garage years ago. It utilizes some space above where my door opens and gets it way out of the way. I don't know that I'd hang from it, but I have my ladder and some PVC up there and it hasn't fallen off.

      You just brought up a sore spot.
      The two disco spotlights go on with a switch that was wired up for the previous owner's workbench. Since my shop is now built on the other side, it was great-that is, until a ladder was hung directly in the way.

    Could have done it without cutting the drywall and it would have been just as strong. I have attached many different things to (walls and ceilings) buildings commercial, residential, military. I understand how to attached things to things and cutting drywall is the last thing I ever want to do. Don't want to be so negative but I dont like and or trust people that don't show their face.

    • @pocket83squared
      @pocket83squared  3 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      If a third-party, impartial rational actor were to place a bet on either: 1) something that I had designed and constructed, or 2) something that an anonymous "could have done it" commenter (who also sports a male form in his avatar) had constructed, which do you think would be the smarter bet?
      Let's let the thumb-ups decide, eh? Your comment gets pinned if you win, and I'll gladly feature your "just as strong" design's video on my channel, complete with formal apology.

      There are way too many dumb weekend warriors that will go to idiotic excess in order to avoid cutting/repairing drywall. Repairing drywall takes some time to learn, but it's not difficult, especially for a garage or ceiling where it isn't as noticeable. If cutting drywall is the last thing you want to do, I can only imagine how many hack jobs you've done that would've been 10x better and easier if you knew how to fix drywall.
