There is also a pad with pages that use this method, but one day at a time. It is a great way to try the method. I'm using it now, and can't wait for the planner for next year
I've heard you talk about the 3-bucket system before, more than once. But sometimes things just CLICK. Maybe it was seeing it on paper exactly the way you showed it this time. I love the "wish list"! I'm going to give it a try. Thanks, Laura!
I love this! I wish I had know about this when I was in my busy years raising my children. I especially love the section about passion. I agree that it gets pushed aside unless it is prioritized, and self care in this way is vital to our wellbeing. I hope that many people are helped by this method, I will certainly use this system now because even as a retired empty nester things happen in my day that can cause it to go sideways. I have learned so much by participating in this webinar and by watching your channel. And I would have totally given you a big hug when you were feeling so mortified by your simple mistake when you were struggling so much on that water notice day. You are a wonderful, beautiful person!
Laura, being retired it's very easy to forget bills especially one that are fixed bills like utilities. We pay everything automatically so even if we are on the road, our bills get paid. (including credit cards) Took such a load off our minds! God bless you and yours!
Laura, thanks for the refresher. I discovered your system, I guess last year. There have been times in the past that it took an hour to two hours just to plan my day because the systems were so complicated. Like many other things, this works if you work it. Thanks again!
I can relate… a piece of my mail ended up in a neighbor’s mailbox, he brought it to me…in bright RED across the out side was LAST NOTICE… I’m like l I’m not a loser, it’s just a magazine subscription I’m not renewing!
I like this idea and plan on trying it. Typically I print my outlook calendar each week with appointments and then write other to dos each day but I think this will work better.
I really appreciate how you said to just do it now! Don’t wait for the planner. It was so liberating to hear this. I tend to wait until I have all the things! I’ve sat down with a notebook and my day is planned for the first time with this system🎉. Makes so much sense! Thank you thank you thank you.
I ordered your planner to help keep me organized and motivated with things I need to do at home and in the garden. I am using your planner for my personal goals and for my bills and budget. I have a separate calendar for work duties/meetings and appointment during the weekdays. I hope to stay on top of things this year by writing them down and planning for them. I think I might have ADD. I tend to live in the moment and if something is out of sight-I don’t think about it. Hoping your planner does the trick!!
I have been using your planner this year. I’m amazed at how much more I get done in a day. I always seem to finish bucket 3 by the weekend. It’s a game to see how quickly I can knock off 1and 2 to get to 3. Thanks Laura and I really enjoyed this year’s speakers. I was on a bus tour in Memphis, TN but always managed to find time to see them.
Agreed! I too have felt all over the place and I can’t get a handle on anything, ugh. But I watched this video a few times, took notes and am going to try this 3 bucket system out and hopefully not feel like a failure at the end of the day. It’s a much simpler method to follow than all the other planning systems I’ve tried before. Wishing us good luck with this system!
This is an excellent system! I had began using it months ago but I fell off but I will say it was helpful and it got what was important DONE! Thank you for sharing this gem with us Laura💕💕
Looking forward to trying this system now that I have the headspace to try a system. I really struggle with feeling like I'm not doing enough, especially the last ten years when I have been disabled. I really appreciate that there was an entire section on chronic illness in the recent HQ summit. As a result I now have two lists of the minimum requirements to consider a day "successful" - one for "normal" days and one for "pain" days. It takes a ton of pressure off and helps me focus on what matters and it gives me a lot more grace than I normally give myself. Whenever I feel like a failure I look at that list and feel much better. I also really like the idea of approaching the longer to do list as a wish list. It totally changes the perspective and makes me eager to work on those tasks - even in increments - rather than see them as drudgery. I was hesitant at first but it really is a total game changer!
I love this method. I'm wondering if you have a larger to do list that you draw from to know what are the 3 priority items for the day? In other words do you have a longer list somewhere else of all you need to do in the next month or so?
I really like the idea of the 3 bucket system. It will depend on the cost of the planner when it's available if I will buy it or not. Otherwise I will implement your idea into a planner of my own. I am new to your channel and really enjoy watching ❤
I really like this system and I'm ready to start, but i didn't hear mentioned about when you fill out those daily items. At the beginning of the week? The night before? I'm so glad i found your channel as it has been extremely motivating and clearly thought out.
I’m glad I watched your video first thing this morning because I live in Mayberry, too, and you just reminded me that my water bill was due yesterday 😱
This type of "system" has been around for years. It used to be called DayTimer. Of course built-in phone calendar systems can be color coded. I do love the idea of PASSION! So important to prevent life burnout. Too often we ignore self-care, but it adds to productivity in a major way.
Wondered if you have any advice for folks with too many buckets--or buckets in multiple silos. For example, how do I manage home buckets with "at the office" buckets? I feel like I've got a set of buckets for evenings and weekends and then another set for the 9-5 work stuff. My husband and I are self-employed and work together. Appreciate any tips in this area--juggling multiple to-do lists makes me feel scattered but putting them together is frighteneing as it's SO MUCH when lumped together. [sigh]
We l😅ve in 'Mayberry'. I never thought about it. We're a pastor's family. EVERYONE in town is related to someone somewhere. You can't have anything done without it spreading through town...😂😢😂😢
My best friend lives in a town like that and I see more good points to it than bad. Like this summer when one of the adult family members was on hospice care with cancer and the husband abandoned the family, the city gave them all sorts of extra time to take care of things without penalty, some neighbors jumped in to help, and some put extra produce from their garden on the doorstep anonymously. Also, I think most people have had a busy or rough season where something doesn't get paid and people are a lot less judgy about it than you think. Besides, they should be paying attention to the road, not what's on people's doors! :-)
The list isn't bad but forgetting to pay the bill and if someone sees it, not really a big problem especially if you have money. Not having money would be a problem.

I recently saw a planner system that was soooo detailed and complicated. I like that your 3 bucket system is simpler and it seems doable.
Great ideas Laura - - thank you SO much! I am incorporating these this week! Happy New Year!

This is very, very, very helpful. Thanks so much for sharing info about it with us!!

Game changer! Thank you.
Love including passion every day Self care is so important in order to accomplish habits and complete objectives!

The Bucket List 3 is very helpful. Thank you for these videos on organizing our lives. Really enjoyed the conference online.

I like this idea! It looks like it makes the day simpler. I'm going to do it for a month and see how I do with it. Thank you! 😊 ❤️
Gonna give it a try!

I’d like to know this as well. I homeschool and run a business while managing teens schedules. It’s a LOT!
Yes I'd like to know as well
Lol lived on the water disconnects for years. It was pay Paul or Peter with small kids and little money.
I really like the idea of the 3 bucket system. It will depend on the cost of the planner when it's available if I will buy it or not. Otherwise I will implement your idea into a planner of my own. I am new to your channel and really enjoy watching ❤
Welcome to all the cool stuff! I've been following for years and always get something good from each of her videos. Laura is fantastic.
@@AmyJarrellbunnygirl You're so kind! Thank you for your encouragement!

I really love this idea! Especially adding the habits and passion 😊
I really like this. Thank you. I am going to start this Monday. Until then I'm having a 'P' kinda weekend!
Thanks Laura!
I’m glad I watched your video first thing this morning because I live in Mayberry, too, and you just reminded me that my water bill was due yesterday 😱
What perfect timing!!
This is my first year using your planner and I love this bucket list idea. My list are usually reminders as I get older lol
Love this! Going to try it ASAP!

How would they know that was for a late water bill - unless they had been late themselves before.
Probably by the color of the notice. My guess.
Who cares

I have a better method for bill paying. I pay all bills the moment they come in. But, most of my bills are on auto-pay.
The list isn't bad but forgetting to pay the bill and if someone sees it, not really a big problem especially if you have money. Not having money would be a problem.
