The humble nature of Filipino Street Food Vendors knows no equal.
All of them , thru sheer hard work and determination to be a success story and have provided not just a taste of what they can humbly offer but as living examples for today's youth to follow ...
love the way this was documented! no outrageous background music, just subtle music, simple narrations and the guests speaking. It really is all that's needed.
l've noticed everyone of the vendors think of quality first rather than profit. And as a result the people keep coming back over and over again. Secret to their success!!
It's a wrap! Just like the the humble dish lumpia, these stories are packed with warmth and inspiration. Kudos to team FEATR for showing the humble hands behind the best streetside lumpia in Manila.
Back in the early 1980s, when I was a young sailor, I spent some of the best times of my entire life in Olongapo….. back in those days before the Internet and cell phones, it felt so exotic… It was a very small small, but always busy day and night… Along the street was a wide variety of vendors, selling all kinds of barbecued everything and it was delicious. One of my favorites, of course was lumpia… Nothing better than an ice, cold, San Miguel, beer and a pile of lumpia with spicy sweet sauce on a hot steamy Philippine afternoon!👊🏽🤙🏽💯
super solid yung lumpia ni manong darwin 10/10 recommended talaga all around yung lumpiang shanghai nya. pang ulam pang bday, pang pulutan, pang merienda, chibog pag lasing.
Oh my!!! That turon I can attest is the best turon ever!!! Super! I used to buy from there everyday when I would fetch our kids in the nearby Montessori school! I am glad to know it is still open. I will certainly go back!!!!
Thank you FEATR for highlighting street vendors.
You are missing it because you can't make it, I never had this problem because I can cook and make all these abroad, the only thing I miss about the Philippines is the sun. To be nostalgic is to be weak, stay strong and embrace your newfound culture abroad.
Thank you for sharing this video and giving our kababayan a chance to show that hard work and faith can make a big difference in life. God bless the street vendors showcased in this video.
Turon and lumpia filled childhood present ❤ it’s soo heartwarming to see the humble storytelling of this turon and lumpia vendors because you see how they continue to produce and preserve this timeless Filipino comfort food with so much love and passion.made me soo proud.Godbless them more ❤
As a pinoy myself from Canada, thanks for promoting this video. True hard work, they love it, and doing the best they can make them very focus avoiding troubles. I was fascinated with the response from the last vendor when the lady customer said "I'm from Texas, USA". For me being humble, proud & happy of your honest work is priceless.
You do what you love and good things come out of it! All these people do their best for the food they sell! That’s the reward! People like it as well! 👍👍👍👍
Saludo ako sa mga ganitong tao, di sinisisi ang gobyerno sa kahirapan, or gumagawa ng illegal or inaapakan ang ibang tao para mgka pera. Sikap at kayod lng
Great job everyone!! I’m am sooooooo proud of our Filipino hard working food service, they put all their heart and love cooking, they deserve to be recognized! Thank you for sharing!
English subtitles please. I'm Filipino but I share this channel to my English friends and really interested with Filipino cuisine but can't understand what they are saying. Otherwise, it's a really great vid. Love Lumpia
While it is commendable.that you share our culture with non Filipinos, I think Erwan and his team really created these videos to "reintroduce" our food culture to Filipinos, YOUNG AND OLD. That we may rediscover the beauty of Filipino food. Contrary to what most foreign critics often say about our food, its strength lies in the simplicity of our food and the love we put into making each and every dish.
@@pheebsdazon3469 umm no, surely it is shared across to everyone and not geared towards a specific demographic. It is still the case now that not many know what Filipino food actually is. They know Thai, Chinese, Indian but not Filipino. I'm sure the international community is also very eager to learn more about Filipino culture and food.
Well, he and his team know how to put subtitles in their videos and he certainly can afford it. Some parts are even narrated in English, so why not put subtitles. I think that was intentional. But I may be wrong. That is just my opinion based on what I've observed.
Everybody calls this banana snack "turon". I remember growing up in Batangas we called it "sagimis". Turon was a kind of candy that w nyoas chewy. Salamat po sa vlog nyo FEATR! Keep on vlogging!

Really enjoy this channel because I get to learn a lot of my parents native country Philippines. Really wish that you would put subtitles in English since I unfortunately didn’t learn how to speak or understand Tagalog. 🤞I also try to put on the captions but it’s not available. I believe it will also benefit more people since I truly believe Filipinos aren’t the only people watching this channel. Thanks.

He is inspirational, love how humble and grateful he is for what he has, wish him and his family the very best.
I totally agree and he is on point and genuine with his answers as well ...
All of them , thru sheer hard work and determination to be a success story and have provided not just a taste of what they can humbly offer but as living examples for today's youth to follow ...
Same here prayers and love for a grateful nation ...
