I love to paint on a big scale. A well placed, well executed mural can dramatically transform a space. It turns a plain wall into something beautiful and unique that tells a story about the people who dwell there. For me, it is a privilege to collaborate in the creation of a work of art that makes a place unique and delightful, and turns a wall into an experience.
I consider myself a collaborative artist. Most of my clients would not consider themselves artists, yet what we create together is more gratifying and interesting than my perspective alone. Because my work is site-specific, each project offers a unique environmental dynamic. I aim to create artwork that will be a perfect fit for the space, taking into consideration the perspective from which the artwork is viewed, the lighting, the scale of the space, the colors and mood, and the story we want to tell with the piece.

Well done! As a muralist for many years, I know finishing a project in a day is no small feat, even with help. Just a tip, if you bring the tree trunk around to the next wall it'll make the corner disappear.

Making mistakes and getting frustrated with pieces is such a hard things for some artists, especially myself. I'm preparing to make my first mural for my bedroom and seeing the kind of equipment you used was really helpful. Also I was stressed about messing it up, but hey there's always more paint to put on top :D Worst case scenario I cover it all and start over. I guess mural painting is sort of scary because for the first two hours it feels like you're doing the thing your parents told you Never To Do, haha. Anyway, I'm anxiously excited for this project. :)

Though I'm about to do an outside mural for the first time ever as a commissioned piece - there's some tips in this video that are going to be really useful... even seeing some of the ways you stored the paints and what kind of trays you used as a palette and that sort of thing.... I love art - there's always something new to learn in it! My dream is to become a full time artist with her own art studio/store so that people can see me working on new art while they browse the store at already made ones. I'm having to do so much research for this project for my client. I know her from church so I want her to be happy with what I do at the end of it... Its a mountain/river in a field type scene which I love painting so I'm hoping and praying it turns out well! Afterall... not only do I enjoy art, but I paint pictures to fill people with joy and peace and perhaps even inspire them in some way or just to feel good during tough times. The saying "a picture's worth 1000 words" Is only half right.... a picture is worth MORE than a thousand words. Its like the saying for music - when words fail, music speaks.... when words fail, art speaks.
