The part of the video where they are playing in front of the lights and lasers was shoot in the demo room at High End Systems in Austin. I was one of the lighting techs that work there and controlled some of the lights for the video. I listened to this song over and over for six hours while the director got all his shots and never got sick of hearing it.
I just cannot understand how a man can play that fast and with such tenacity and yet have EVERY NOTE sound crystal clear. He just has perfect tone. Nothing is fuzzy, but nothing sounds wimpy.
Tommy Taylor says he has perfect pitch and can tell what note is being played without seeing it. He also can tell the difference between batteries in his foot pedals and he prefers Duracell.
Yeah but it's just the hair. The guitar playing holds up to anything that's been done on rock guitar since. Not to mention what the drummer and bass player are doing.

Sounded incredible 7 years ago and is still mind blowing today. Eric, you will always be considered on of the greatest musicians to ever hold a guitar. Your meticulous work on your tone and style is forever genius and unique. Love ya man!!!
Saw Eric in Tallahassee in 01 and he is such an incredible talent. He is also one of the nicest and coolest people on the planet. I hope I get to see him play again. So worth it!

Vernon, WA right before the COVID lock-downs took place across the nation. The show was sold out before I could get a tix. When I called day of they said they would call if a ticket was available. Later that day they had one ticket and I didn't answer the phone in time and they sold it to another fan. EJ please come back to the PNW!
after listening to eric for almost 18 years, I have never seen this, most videos for instrumental tracks suck this actually fits and is perfect for the time period. Something else I just noticed is the main solo definitely sounds like eric had been listening to the version of creams crossroads.
To me Eric Johnson was okay I believe he had a hit in the 90s on the radio out here in California but it wasn't until researching the album by Stuart Hamm the bassist on his album the urge I was dumbfounded and blown away when I realized it was Eric Johnson playing guitar on that album to me phenomenally underrated album The musicianship on this album is unparalleled in my opinion anyway. 😎👍👍
Find if funny that it is really Roscoe Beck on that actual recording, but in the vid it is Kyle Brock on bass. They did the inevitable single edit out, the fantastic bass solo part by Roscoe, because Kyle (or anyone else) would've had great problem in even mimicking that on bass in a video ha ha... great song nevertheless. I do wish that that album wasn't sooooo 80's produced with all post processing effects. Chorus and gated reverb on Erics distorted guitar.... meh! On that next album *Ah Via Musicom* though, he skipped all that, and went for a more timeless sound and production.
