Its good to see you back! As a big big fan of guitr hero, everytime i'd see a "steve ouimette" song in guitar hero, it would always be the most fun to play. You def have a special place in all our hearts 😁
Watching some play through part this Christmas, steve. glad i added this song on my Christmas playlist because I thought that might been fit for 12 days of Christmas or my older playlist. it's still an awesome solo in my opinion.
Hey alright, thanks for checking it out. I'll admit, it's quite Christmas-y, lol. Lots of fun doing this song...can't believe how much time has gone by since the game released it back in 2007.
@SteveOuimette that game is almost 18 years old by now. second thought, dude I noticed you didn't unlocked community tabs as well when you reached over 1k subs. that thing let's you post pictures and etc even polls too. and yeah. it's kinda out of place for not seeing community post as an update.
@Rusli1659LPSoldier I've been extremely slow and negligent on my channel here and I plan to make more content in 2025. Been so slammed with the various gigs I've just not carved out enough time to put quality content out. Just did my first community post now thanks to your suggestion!
@@SteveOuimette no probs. By the time it's almost new year. I kinda wanna hear your version of Auld Lang Syne (the same way as the style of Star Spangled Banner cover of yours) because that's what my ears needed something about 2000's mix vibe.
That guitar sound is so good. You have a really recognizable style. It would be nice to see have a lesson on your toccata cover. That guitar sound in particular is huge and it's an awesome arrangement.
Thank you very much. That guitar for Tocatta was a beast! It was a Les Paul baritone that I no longer have. Really hard to play because of the ultra thick strings and super long scale length, but man did it sound huge. One of these days if I get another baritone that's easier to play I'd definitely do a video on that. Really enjoyed doing that track.
Loved when you first uploaded this song, loved it when it appeared in GH as DLC, and it really takes me back seeing you revisit this song and talk about it. Love the work you've done.
We would love to see a video of you commenting on WaveGroup's and Line 6's Guitar Hero covers. A lot of us still love to listen to those when we had the chance to buy them off from iTunes before being removed. The instrument and singing quality are great, especially the extended endings, and the singing matches the mood of the songs-making the covers stand on their own, even if they are different from their original counterparts. I even love WaveGroup's brutal take of Lamb of God's "Laid to Rest" despite Randy Blythe insulting Casey Sealund just because Casey sang nothing like Randy. Nobody has to agree what the members of the original songs say. It is a matter of taste. Line 6's "Black Magic Woman" also sounds cool. We would have loved to see CD releases of those covers. Sadly, WaveGroup defunct. The only way to get those is getting in contact with former members or Ingrooves for like a CD copy or something. It would be difficult. Rock like always.
Steve you is my real Guitar Hero safe of Brazil and thanks for all covers in GH and my favorite is Stevie Ray Vaughan - Pride and Joy is veeeery hard in Expert, with hyperspeed 5 😂, strum your guitar until the end of the time 🎵🎵🎵🎵
Thanks! It's actually the same track, just with a slightly altered ending to accommodate the way I played the last parts. Those are from the original stems though.
Of all the songs of yours that ended up on GH, this is the one i ended up playing the most and to this day i still can't figure out why other than It just felt like the definition of *fun* to play
That's really nice to hear, thank you. I agree in terms of the way it feels to play (on a guitar for me). I never enjoyed the feeling of playing TDWDTG or WTK that much. Funny how some songs feel better than others, but they do. Thanks!
The video IS the tab, lol. In all seriousness though, I just don’t have the time to tab out songs. That said, I’m sure somebody could accurately tab it out by watching this lesson.
@@VoltiXHD2 That's a drag. I wish I had the time and patience to do tabs. It takes a dedicated person to do that. Growing up there were a few guys that were amazing for transcribing, especially in Guitar Player Magazine.
You were a lot of kids' hero back in the day, its absurd that you don't have more views. Thank you so much for doing such detailed videos.
I'm flattered, that's nice to know. I love doing this and will definitely be adding more!
This is killer! Funny how Christmas music can rock like this!!
Thanks Steve! Lol, yeah, Christmas music is tough, but I tried.
One of the best instrumental covers ever, I listen to it year round.
I really, really enjoyed this one. Very inspiring to create. Thank you very much, Noah!

Ah man, you made my day! Thank you very much.
You're the real guitar hero for a bunch of people, mate! Thanks for being a part of my childhood, you deserve the world! Hugs from Brazil. 🇧🇷♥️
Thank you for making such great covers and you are a great musician i hope this gets to you have a great day
Thank you very much, that means a lot to me. Have a great day as well.

You're the real guitar hero, I love your devil went down to georgia version
Thank you very much!
No way, was just thinking about this today. Guess it's time to get the capo out I guess, thanks Steve!

I love this one too. I noticed that the drum track you used on this vid is a different take compared to the original version

Hello, I enjoyed your video. Have a great day.

Woo Steve! But can we get the Top Gun Anthem you did? That sounds sooooo good!
I forgot I did that one, lol! Something to consider for sure.
Hey Joe Barresi produced Avenged Sevenfold’s The Stage, cool!
Joe is a GREAT guy, amazing producer and tone-getter. I love Joe...been too long since I've hung out at his studio but he's always got good coffee!
Snake Train next please! Could you tack the Zombies intro solo on the end. Hope you're well Steve. Tim
Lol, obscurity at its finest. Doing good, happy holidays Tim!
I feel you should do a tutorial for Lou's Revenge.
I've been asked that by a number of people. Sounds like it might be interesting. Thanks!
He keeps telling me but i dont think Oui ever mette yet !
Can we get a tab for this gem?
The video IS the tab, lol. In all seriousness though, I just don’t have the time to tab out songs. That said, I’m sure somebody could accurately tab it out by watching this lesson.
@@SteveOuimette I mean that's probably right but i'm literally lost not even 20 seconds into the lesson :(
@@VoltiXHD2 Oh :-(. Well, I'm really sorry to hear that. I'm sure there are some tabs out there though, right?
@@SteveOuimette There is a few but they're really inaccurate from what i can tell, and not complete!

Teach your version of School's Out (Alice Cooper), please 😊
Love that version.
Why can’t I find sleep is a drug by you ?
