Dear friend , I have few doubts. 1.Can u tell me at what age the couple got married?? Some say he was 19 and she was 16.Some mention that she was 6 ( which was absurd),others say that he was 25 and she was more than 16. 2.They spent few years happily in Ayodhya before the exile.Has Valmiki Ji given any description of them not having children at that time? 3.What about the time they were in exile? They spent 13 blissful years together in utmost happiness.Surely they weren't sleeping on silken sheets ,magnificent beds and all but they were quite happy in the beautiful forest..Ram being the emotionally expressive person that he was even goes on saying that he can live with her for ever in the jungle .He further adds multiple times during the course of 13 years that he doesn't even want Swarga without her.I hope I'm not being offensive when I can say cautiously it was their honeymoon of 13 years.Sita was extremely happy because she has Shri Ram all to herself which was otherwise not possible had they had been in palace with him being King and sincerely discharging his duties( an extremely difficult job) that needs him all his time with having next to none moments for them together . So did they practise celibacy in Valmiki Ramayana ? Because in Ramcharitmanas ,they were asked by Kaikeyi to strictly adhere to celibacy so as not to have another heir to the kingdom. If they did have a conventional married life in vanvas ,any description of the reason not having a child?Or because of the circumstances ,they refrained from having a child consciously because even garbhadharana for the kings were elaborate rituals for that times ?Also practical reasons for them include not being economically strong,lack of safety in jungle and difficult circumstances to bring up a child ..Any passing info on them in Valmiki Ramayana about their status in Vanvas willbe helpful. If we believe in Uttar kaand ,they return and immediately the 4 princesses conceive shortly afterwards. Hope u will be patient enough to answer my queries..🙏

Convents schools in India are teaching kids that Ramayan never happened and it is a myth hence mythology. Please make an episode for people to understand that it is not myth. A friend of mine was arguing with me to the extent of saying , invention of wheel baad may hua to Rath kaha se aaya. I put forward my points but she was not interested in listening. Please make a podcast where these types of misunderstandings are made clear.
In our puranas there is one story, Bhrugu Rishi gave curse to Lord Vishnu, When Vishnu kills Bhrugu's wife by Sudarshan Chakra. That curse was " Vishnu also will have to suffer separation from his wife." Lord Vishnu accept that curse for his act. That curse was completed in Ramayana, by separation.

I have a question. I think sita ji ko ram ji chode nahi. I think agar bhadra ye bol bhi raha tha ki sita ji par logon ko sandeh hai isliye sare log maryada bhool rahe hain toh ram ji ye baat logon ko kyun nahi batate ki sita agnipareeksha ho chuka hai. Even after the first agnipariksha, the people of ayodhya still questioned and manipulated the character of maa sita. And it's because of the second agnipariksha(swearing by the name of mother earth) followed by her sacrifice of life made what sita maa is today. Symbol of purity, we hesitate answering the questions poised on Shri Ram's decision. But never ever anyone ever questioned Maa Sita after the second agnipariksha. Rama took it on himself by sacrificing his love forever in order to keep her sanctity pure and unquestioned.

The British philosopher Bertrand Russell once said that if he had to choose between truth and the destruction of humankind, he would choose truth.

I think we have to agree to disagree on this point. Ram's conduct towards Sita at various points in the narrative does not show him in great light. See how he confronts Sita after vanquishing Ravan. Some of his utterances are almost offensive. The agni pareeksha, his surrender to public gossip, his exiling pregnant Sita -- a noble princess, the great Raja Janak's dsughter -- and his conditional acceptace of his wife in the end ! I wish Ram had the wisdom to realise that his victory over Ravan was ensured by Sita's purity. Ram would have lost the war if Sita had deviated from her dharma. What a divine incarnation he was!

1.Can u tell me at what age the couple got married??
Some say he was 19 and she was 16.Some mention that she was 6 ( which was absurd),others say that he was 25 and she was more than 16.
2.They spent few years happily in Ayodhya before the exile.Has Valmiki Ji given any description of them not having children at that time?
3.What about the time they were in exile? They spent 13 blissful years together in utmost happiness.Surely they weren't sleeping on silken sheets ,magnificent beds and all but they were quite happy in the beautiful forest..Ram being the emotionally expressive person that he was even goes on saying that he can live with her for ever in the jungle .He further adds multiple times during the course of 13 years that he doesn't even want Swarga without her.I hope I'm not being offensive when I can say cautiously it was their honeymoon of 13 years.Sita was extremely happy because she has Shri Ram all to herself which was otherwise not possible had they had been in palace with him being King and sincerely discharging his duties( an extremely difficult job) that needs him all his time with having next to none moments for them together .
So did they practise celibacy in Valmiki Ramayana ? Because in Ramcharitmanas ,they were asked by Kaikeyi to strictly adhere to celibacy so as not to have another heir to the kingdom.
If they did have a conventional married life in vanvas ,any description of the reason not having a child?Or because of the circumstances ,they refrained from having a child consciously because even garbhadharana for the kings were elaborate rituals for that times ?Also practical reasons for them include not being economically strong,lack of safety in jungle and difficult circumstances to bring up a child ..Any passing info on them in Valmiki Ramayana about their status in Vanvas willbe helpful.
If we believe in Uttar kaand ,they return and immediately the 4 princesses conceive shortly afterwards.

In our puranas there is one story, Bhrugu Rishi gave curse to Lord Vishnu, When Vishnu kills Bhrugu's wife by Sudarshan Chakra. That curse was " Vishnu also will have to suffer separation from his wife." Lord Vishnu accept that curse for his act. That curse was completed in Ramayana, by separation.

Even after the first agnipariksha, the people of ayodhya still questioned and manipulated the character of maa sita. And it's because of the second agnipariksha(swearing by the name of mother earth) followed by her sacrifice of life made what sita maa is today. Symbol of purity, we hesitate answering the questions poised on Shri Ram's decision. But never ever anyone ever questioned Maa Sita after the second agnipariksha. Rama took it on himself by sacrificing his love forever in order to keep her sanctity pure and unquestioned.

Go read Yudhh kand of valmiki Rāmāyana in which after he rescues maa Sita he intentionally says some bad words to maa Sita to provoke her intentionally so that she gives agniparikha because Shri Ram knew that the praja is going to insult her the coming generation will raise questions on her purity that's why he intentionally said those so that maa Sita gives agniparikha..but Shri Ram never had any doubt on her if u read Yudhhkand completely unlike that fool Divyakirti who didn't read further...its clearly mentioned that Shri Ram says that he never had any doubt on Sita maa.. whatever he did was for her respect in the eyes of people....and see now everyone questions on the character of Shri Rām but no one dares to question the character of Sita maa this is what Shri Rām wanted for her Sitā ...so Shri Rām made himself less maryadapurushottam in the eyes of people like u to give her Sitā respect forever so that nobody can question her in any Yuga.

Go read Yudhh kand of valmiki Rāmāyana in which after he rescues maa Sita he intentionally says some bad words to maa Sita to provoke her intentionally so that she gives agniparikha because Shri Ram knew that the praja is going to insult her the coming generation will raise questions on her purity that's why he intentionally said those so that maa Sita gives agniparikha..but Shri Ram never had any doubt on her if u read Yudhhkand completely unlike that fool Divyakirti who didn't read further...its clearly mentioned that Shri Ram says that he never had any doubt on Sita maa.. whatever he did was for her respect in the eyes of people....and see now everyone questions on the character of Shri Rām but no one dares to question the character of Sita maa this is what Shri Rām wanted for her Sitā ...so Shri Rām made himself less maryadapurushottam in the eyes of people like u to give her Sitā respect forever so that nobody can question her in any Yuga.
