The keyboardist from petra jimmy i believe had his own channel called jimivision where he talks with david carrico of the youtube channels now you see tv and FOJC radio church about the doctrine of christ. Literally all 3 of these channels are a must listen.
I can't believe you have reviewed this band before two of the biggest pillars in Christian rock. Thankfully you found the likes of Pillar, TFK, and Disciple. If you want thought provoking poetic lyrics you HAVE TO check out Project 86. Andrew Schwab is is such a fan of poetry and it comes out in the music. Demon Hunter is another band that will blow you away with their subtle not so obvious Christian lyrics and their gritty guitar riffs. Without these bands you wouldn't even begin to have any of the bands which you are reviewing now. Love what you do. Keep it going!!
I was about to say Demon Hunter. I was just diving into some of their music for the first time 2 days ago. I like "Lesser gods" and "I Will Fail You." Also been listening to Skillet again in the last few days. "Resistance" and "Comatose" are so good. Love how they use violins and stuff in some of their songs like Comatose.

First time I heard this band, the music didn't speak so much as what the front man Tommy Green said between songs. It was different. Had a sense of urgency. Inspired. A sincerity rarely seen at a hard rock show. So, I kept them in the back of my mind. When I had the opportunity to see again, I took it and it was fantastic. Unabashedly Christian in everything they do. It was refreshing. Not to mention, the music I found a lot easier to listen to than others in the genre (For Today, Phineas, etc) . "Tithemi" is certainly one of my all time favorites. Simple but effective. "No Love" is more challenging in that any time an artist attempts to tackle social issues from a Christian perspective there's opportunities for, lack of a better word, "cringe". In this case, the message centers on often our concern and intentions, though well meaning, come off as misguided and often pushes away those we aim to help. Meeting people where they are can be difficult but almost always pays off in the end. Thanks for covering these songs and on of the best bands to ever come out of the Christian hardcore scene.
@@LeonardoTorresMusic Certainly goes without saying. My other favorite tracks from them are : "I've Seen" "Sons of Thunder" "He Will Reign" "Morning Star" "Enthroned" "Victory" "No Sleep Pt. 2"
I prefer the second which is more "introspective" than the first one. But Sleeping Giant is still not my cup of tea even if i'm a metalhead and i listen to heavier music than this. If i can suggest some other bands, you can check: Theocracy - I Am, Becoming The Archetype - Dichotomy, Blindside - Pitiful. And a finnish one, HB - Perkeleitä. And also Jonah 33 - The Difference which matches the chorus from the second song.
