It’s not about how or can Palpatine survives, it is about the FACT that he survived which just RUINED entire saga by throwing the CHOSEN ONE prophecy into the trash compactor. The entire reason why the dark empire was so much debated even before the prequel came out to the series and the chosen one prophecy was introduced was bringing back the Emperor and ruins the sacrifice of Vader pointless. Now with the prophecy, with the Chosen one, making a story that someone who is not Anakin Skywalker (George Lucas himself stated that Anakin is the Chosen one) brings the balance to the Force, the sheer ignorance and disrespect to what we knew as Star Wars, that is the problem. Palpatine can come back from the death. But not after once Anakin completed his journey. It is like me somehow buying a rights of Harry Potter and make a story which harry potter fails and become homeless, Hogwarts did not get reconstructed, while the granddaughter of Dudley Dursley become one of the strongest wizards of all time superior than that of the Dumbledore, kills the Voldemort who is somehow returned. And the whole prophecy of Sybill Trelawney was nothing but a gibberish It is like me somehow buying the rights of Legendarium and say somehow Sauron is back with all his power, and Gandalf and other main characters we know and love is either dead or became looser and now Melkor is redeemed and Melkor’s grandson’s granddaughter can kill the Sauron ignoring the fact it can never die, because obviously it was wrong and old interpretation of the Legendarium. If you read my last two stories and thought it is nonsense, that’s what happened to the Star Wars.

Yes, planet is smaller than a galaxy, but that's not Voldemort's weakness but the limitation of the setting. He took over everything that was physically possible in his world. I doubt Palpatine would've been able to take over the galaxy if he had no access to space travel as well.

Talk about a main villain vs main villain showdown. Seeing Voldemort go up against Palpatine reminded me of the Voldemort and Palpatine final battles from some lego games, first the Harry Potter series, Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga, then Lego Dimensions, and finally the Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga both Palpatine final battles.
And the fact that he was visibly upset to be called "Tom", but just barely managed to push his anger down rather than loosing his focus by falling for Palp's bait.
