They have one of those tanks in their main hideout on the surface. They call it "The Gloomdredger" apparently. If you slap a new wheel on it, they guy will yell at you, but it'll still be in your autobuild history.

Two things:
1. I find it much easier to stand the flux core up and attach the motor to it from above. Makes it a lot easier to centre.
2. After you've finished the build and saved it, you can greatly reduce the zonaite cost by taking out all the non unique items first (wheels, construct heads, weapons, stake and steering stick)
Instuctions unclear, a baby Frox somehow got inside my vehicle.
A tip to add a bit extra- you can attach a shock emitter to the gap behind the spikes. They're made of metal, and the body of the tank will be electrified for some extra defense. Just make to wear the thunder helm while driving.
As a machinist and tinkerer, I've wanted so badly to start fiddling with zonai BS. Unfortunately, I just haven't been able to get into that creative mindset of using things outside of their "intended" purposes. But this has already shown me several things I never considered, like the Flux Core and powering the motor with a shock emitter!

This design is SICK! Definitely going to have to see about giving this a try in my next run.
I was thinking maybe to improve this is to slap one of the big motorized fans/propellers from the shrines onto the back so that it can generate enough thrust to climb steep cliffs, hills and mountains. I saw one build use something similar and it was extremely effective, it essentially made it truly all-terrain. I'd recommend looking into it further and experimenting with the big motorized fan.
A great idea :)
For it to scale cliffs, you want to use a double propeller. You can slap two of them together and the force stacks, and if you want to be fancy you can drive them with a cube golem core and small wheels instead of electricity for better efficiency (at the cost of taking more parts).

Seriously love this build, for ease of getting out, try attaching a cart upside down (flat surface facing down) at the very top of the main vehicle.

If you’re really cheap, there is a mine cart like the one used here in a part of Hyrule castle still on the ground. I believe it’s in a tunnel on the north side.

Nice work. You're way better than I am at planning this stuff out and thinking logically about how to use the build features.
What's more likely with the construct heads is that when the first one targets an enemy, it lets the second one activate, target, and activate the device.
The pulsing effect is very clever.

The tank base you can get from the yiga hideout in the soulth west by waring the yiga suit and you can also get its blue print from a yiga base in the deep

How to build the tank:
Step 1: Commit Grand Theft Auto
If ya have the spring part, ya could use that instead to close the top so your secure when you drive and you don’t have to find the prompt.
I liked this design, until I made it and determined that unless you fasten canons to the forward canon grate, your camera gets locked inside. It provides a great amount of protection, so for that it's good. The spinning parts in front are either just for appearance or for mining purposes, but don't do much damage. My canons got knocked off by a silver bokoblin, so odds are the same will happen to others. That left me little to attack with. '^^ It's good for being a lower cost build.
It's scary how similar this is to a vehicle I made a couple weeks ago.

This should be obvius, but some parts in the tank you can pull out of your inventory like the wheels, the beam emitters, etc. Using as many parts from my inventory as possible with 3 beam emitters and no cannons for the weapons, the autobuild costed 12 zonaite. Very cheap considering how useful it is and how much zonaite you can get from farming with the tank

After some time playing with this one, I ditched the miner and just kept the shock emitter up front to ruin mobs days.
This is going in my spank ban...I mean favs because I plan to build it soon hopefully.
You can yoink the minecart from Hyrule castle, under the west passage.

Deactivate motion control to better move/center parts only by joystick and buttons.
Just keep in mind that this thing will flip and get stuck after about 2-3 minutes at best, just like all Zonai contraptions in the Depths due to the ridiculously uneven terrain. That, or it'll be smashed to pieces by a Frox.

The issue that I'm having is trying to figure out how to attach eight lasers and have them all pulse instead of constantly shooting. I can do it with one laser but eight is difficult.
What if you put the flux core in the ground and attach the motor to that; maybe it will be easier to center?

Good idea. Yeah it's a drill and takes no durability damage while mining ore. It does minimal damage to enemies, but it's very convenient while farming.
Does pulsing help with energy conservation, or is it strictly a damage thing?
Yes it does both! It always conserves energy, and does increased damage if it pusles >1 pulse/sec.

Yea lasers do more damage if pulsed or spinning it's per connect per beam it's been proven already
I thought that it would work like stamina where it would take up the whole red margin when it pulsed, but to be fair, I haven't tested it yet.
Does this tank always move forward on its own?
So does rotating the flux core actually break rocks, without breaking itself?

Yes from my experience the flux core doesn't break ever from mining zonaite deposits!

I can't quite seem to get it right. I'm having trouble seeing up the drill in front. It's wobbling more than it should and I'm not sure how to se the motor together properly.
Try putting the Flux core down first and then put the motor upside down onto it

I only really stayed because of the pulse laser
I tried this by attaching an apple to the yiga base and favorited it to my auto build and it charged me for every piece on the yiga base. For me not 3 zonaite. Maybe because of a update?
It saved the wheels and lights too probably, so if you take some capsules out, the gloomdredger base should only be 3 zonaite
Does the Yiga base with the spikes only counts as 1 part or 4 parts?
the spikes are separate, so it’s 4 parts
The base is 1 part! 3 zonaite. The 3 wheels are perhaps where you see the extra cost in autobuild

I noticed that you don't have any shadow statues marked in the depth, does that mean your only using decayed weapons Instead of pristine weapons? Break the decayed weapons above ground if you want the perfect version ti be found on all those shadow statues 😮😅🎉

Is there any reason why you pay the full 42 zonai to autobuild it instead of dropping some big tires/steering wheel/etc. down first to lower the cost?

no matter how many times i'm rebuilding this, i still get this stupid camera inside a cabin!!
When I tried, I found that putting the control stick in the back left corner prevented that
@@benrorem7505 thats where i put mine lol. i've repositioned it in that corner like 10 times
edit: i had to re-place it several times but I think i got it. I can now get in as i climb up the wheel without crouching. and the camera only goes inside when the tank goes up at an angle, which is occasional

Lol! The gloomdredger chassis is metal so move the shock emitter away from the chassis. You can put it on top of the stake or on the motor

Just farm any bosses you find in the depths + monster camps each blood moon. Spend an hour in the depths each blood moon for like 3 to 5 of em depending on how fast you are, and you'll get a huge battery in no time. I will say it does suck how the depths really aren't tied to the main story so if you do that surface stuff first you'll just never have battery for it

Yeah that's the one downside of the gloomdredger since it's made of metal. Need that thunder helm when it rains
All my big builds disappear while using them after about 30 seconds... 😢
I am using them to fight Gleeoks though.
The wing has a very short use life (and the balloons don't last very long either). But almost everything else will last far longer than you need it.
I watched the whole video to view the mining of zonite and you just skipped it
What does the pulse do?
Reduces energy cost and can increase damage if >1 pulse per second

Hm... my little tank is more simple and also more deadly.... spikes infront 4 whells 2 cannons on top and 3 beams infront. Also spring in back to get in and out.
Just a warning just beams with out a head isn't very well aimed or conservative on energy, try adding a head for certain if u don't have em.

you did not use primo Victoria. wasted opportunity to put in sabaton. because what you have is a death tank from hell that can roll up into the worst areas in the game where constructs can go and you did not Blare saboton.

I tried this and it sucks. Camera keeps going inside it, going in it is annoying, getting out is annoying, tips over easily, can’t mine well, breaks apart at a gust of wind, and it is NOT explosion proof.
What the hell is the apple about? How about giving that an explainer why don't you?
Oh using an apple to autobuild the various parts? I have like 100 apples and they're easy to replenish, so that's why I like using them, but you can use anything. Autobuild will only remember attachments and not detachments, so I like putting an apple on since I don't care if I forget to pick it up before fast traveling.
@@chesepuf I still don't understand what it's purpose is though. Why do you to attach ANY random item to your autobuild?? I mean it just remembers what you've build no mater what so what is the purpose of you attaching an apple to your builds?
@@miserablebrian9245 it makes it cheaper when you are first building the item using zonaite(when the item is green it used zonaite to build it) so it doesnt disapear. if you remove the apple or whatever from the item, it will disapear unless its attached to something else so attach the item and then you remove the apple.
