Hair curling fail for long fine blonde hair in British salon

  • So when the cameraman went to see his sister near Leeds he thought, great hairstyling in the UK that would be a great idea. Unfortunately the place that they went to had no ability to curl thin hair. She was not happy with the experience. Let me know in the comment section how well they did as Louise was not happy with what she described as a "granny salon"

    30 seconds in and I can see for a start that she's attacking your hair. She's using a fine-tooth comb on wet hair and dragging from top to bottom and yanking. She should be using a wide tooth comb and starting from the bottom and working her way up to ease any knots out. Great long 'talons' on her fingers - hopeless for hairdressing. How the heck does she expect to apply product etc properly with nails like that? Let alone do a proper head massage. She's not exactly exuding warmth and friendliness is she lol!
    Oh my god! Her hairbrushes are full of other people's hair! YUCK!
    I'm enjoying this.
    No care whatsoever taken with sectioning the hair and she's rough as guts. And why the hell is she using brushes to roll the hair. Surely she has the correct tools to use? Very unprofessional. LIterally ripping the hair off the brushes afterwards because it's all caught up and stuck (of course, because this is not what hairbrushes were designed for FFS). Poor girl, she looks absolutely miserable and I don't blame her. No care being taken. It's like the hairdresser is just trying to get through so she can go home. And how about concentrating on what you're doing instead of yakking about cat's piss with another customer?
    As for "If it was layered, you'd get a beautiful bouncy girl". No. If you knew what you were doing she would get a beautiful bouncy girl. What a farce!! So glad you recorded this and put it on TH-cam. So sorry for your awful experience. I felt really annoyed for you just watching this as I've experienced the same kind of treatement. Just listening to all her excuses etc at the end ... GRRR!

    As a professional hairdressers, she should have not detangled the hair like that for one. Two she has taken too big of sections for that brush size, I know a few comments are saying you can't use brushes as rollers but in fact you can if you know what you are doing. The brush is best left in the hair until cooled and then taken out. Having multiple brushes like that in her nape is pulling on her hair probably causing her discomfort. A small brush is perfect for a really curly blowdry but the section of hair should be no bigger than the brush size. She didn't even have clean sections and to be honest she didn't have fine hair it was medium. This lady might be qualified but I think over the years she has just become lazy and does not care about given her clients an amazing service. She is also resting the hairdryer on the brush which is burning her hair as well as blocking the air hense the smoke coming out of it. I can also guarantee they could smell burning as that is exactly what she is doing

    that lady hair dresser is absolutely horrendous... she is rude like quietly doing the hair without saying anything like she is mischievous. Clearly she doesn't want to be there. I hate it when people pull my hair stylist or not, it would piss me off!! That's terrible. Yanking the hair could pull out whatever the sweet lady client has left and its very abusive. If I were the stylist I would just go with a simple curling iron, not the blow dry..that way the curling iron could make tighter curls which would then shorten the length and increase volume.

If she would've paddle dried her hair to around 80% dry and used the round brush to smooth n blow out sections and pin curled them they could've set and she wouldve had body and smooth hair. She pulled the crap out of and tangled her hair removing those brushes. The stylist used her "fine/thin" hair as an excuse for her crappy job.

There are made to stay and you clearly were talking your way through the process to make up for the fact you did not know what you were doing. If you do not know DONT DO IT! • @sethstryker4487
    @sethstryker4487 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    first, off you should NEVER have to pull hair that harshly to free it from a comb. If the hair is stuck which I have had this happen before, in my hair and aesthetics class people made the same mistake. You get out some spray-on detangler, a squirt bottle of water and you use a tail comb to free the hair little bits at a time or strand by strand. It is time consuming but a lot less damaging, the same method can and is often used on matted hair. Secondly, it doesn't matter the cut of her hair, with that length, if it can fit the curl on the brush or even on a roller, then you can certainly put a curl in it even if you're using a hairdryer.

    I’m so confused on why someone would ever curl hair this way. I have hair just like this. I usually tell the stylist to not bother curling after I get my highlights and haircut done because it just doesn’t hold. I finally let the girl I’ve been going to curl it, and it was absolutely beautiful. It held for longer than usual too. She round brushed it and used a curling iron.

    Omg I'm speechless! So many mistakes here. Not only was she rough and insulting. The hairdryer didn't have an end piece so the hairs were flying all over the brushes hence got so tangled. Also thin hair absolutely can curl! And you don't need layers like she said to have bouncy curls. She also used the dryer really close to her scalp probably burnig her. And then whatever lame curls she managed to do she brushed them out with a thin comb?!!!

    The hair dressers way of doing hair is very "back in the days" type style, no one does hair like this anymore, you can clearly tell the hair dresser and whole salon is run by "older generation" who have no clue about current hair trends, styles, techniques. It's "this is how it's always been done" mentality
    Bedsides that, the hair dresser seems to be a little rough and overall rude in general. I hope she's retired or found another job besides hairdressing, caring for anyone, looking after anyone, being around people, cleaning, to heck with it I hope she's retired

    Why would you rub mousse in to someones scalp and then use brushes as rollers? Crappest hair dresser ever...So rude too.

    • @abbieclements4322
      @abbieclements4322 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mousse is to be used at the root to help with lift and volume. However the way she applied it was wrong. You can use round brushes as rollers, as most hairdressers do including myself however, you leave the brush in the hair so the client is comfortable then wait only a few minutes until cooled then you can move into the next section:) x

      Missy Jes they have brushes that detach from the Handle to stay in the hair wrapped up while it cools and sets into the curl , how this stylist is doing this blow dry is very bad though she is extremely rough and rude to her client

    As a professional i am shocked that she thinks that standard of work is acceptable. From start to finish the tools were all wrong. She should not have combed her hair with the fine tooth comb yanking it from the root, she should have used a wider tooth comb or detangler and worked from the ends up and round brushes are not rollers or hot brushes. i really hope she has changed career. The pain in the poor womans face as the brushes are taken out 😞
