Cast: Elton Chong, Bruce Cheung Mong, Mike Wong Lung, Jin Nu-Ri
Carrying a secret letter of Lord Kim, the great master Jin Sung-jin and his best disciple Kim Wun-do go to Jung-won region to get money and gold from the noble man Yeom. The evil Paeng Jang-rim gang finds this out and steals the letter. They secretly exhort the money and gold. Yeom is aware of this so he sends Wang Tae-sa, a secret assassin, to Tae-bin where Paeng Jang-rim lives. Meanwhile, the Buddhist devotee Sang-po, master of the Jang-gi fighting technique, saves the lives of Sung-jin and Wun-do. Wun-do learns the Jang-gi fighting technique and heads to Tae-bin. At Tae-bin, Wun-do combines forces with Jin Nu-ri, Sung-jin's daughter, and Wang Tae-sa. Paeng Jang-rim defeats Tae-sa and Nu-ri. Full of rage, Wun-do destroys Jang-rim using the Jang-gi fighting technique.

Poor poor Elton Chong....he always gets a beat down in all of his movies but I love him because he is a SURVIVOR. He definitely was underrated as a kung fu actor in his days but I rank him as a favorite along with others like Meng Fei, Ti Lung, Tan Tao Liang, Wong Tao, David Chiang and John Liu to mention just a few. Wu Tang, thank you for posting a "new" movie with Elton Chong. I really enjoyed it!!!
That is what I don't like about his movies. Its difficult to actually count as a survivor when the last boss hits you so many times for so long. Just like spending too many quarters on that boss, you just stop caring. And then, suddenly he beats the boss and you notice too late.
I am glad that you mentioned the irrepressible John Liu (best remembered for his 'North-Leg' kicking scenes)

any kung fu movie that has elton chong in it......thats a winner in my book
Elton Chong was similar to Jackie Chan. I saw this movie many years ago, and today I finished watching a flick he did a couple of years before this one, titled, "The Magnificent Natural Fist". The ending fight scene in that one was featured on this one Vhs video that i purchased Way back in 1987, titled, The Top fights of Kung Fu".
The ending fight scene Boss in this 1985 flick versus the ending fight scene Boss in the 1983 flick that I was briefly describing, would've made for an Amazing Fight Scene. I could see the Old Man Boss in this flick, playing a good guy, while the boss in Magnificent Natural Fist, would definitely be more fitting as the bad guy. I highly recommend that flick though. It's a 10/10, while this one would be still good enough to rate as a 9/10.

It really is, I agree. The modern action flicks just don't have that special essence.
These 1980's gung fu flicks were the best. The ones from the 1970's were quite good as well.
1990's fighting action flicks were still way better than the modern dung fests of today.
Another thing to point out is the Uniquely Charming 1940's styled Technicolor look of these specific 1980's lower budget gung fu flicks. I don't know exactly why but it just adds in a very special element of old school looking authenticity type of Charm Value.

This was another ridiculous comedy martial arts movie.
It made No sense from start to finish and was painful to watch and I couldn't wait for it to be over.
Everyone had different tastes the bizarre is what is attractive its not Everyone cup of tea but a lot better than most new martial arts film
