@@AntonBalfe At this stage it is anyone the mainstream media labels as "far right". There is no "center", "center right" or right wing party in Ireland.
Our voting system is terrible. A party leader could come 4th locally and be taoiseach. Only a few locations in the country has a potential taoiseach on the ballot paper. Nowhere in the country pick between their favourite party leaders. You could be stuck voting for a local TD you don't like because you prefer that party wins. Worst system and nobody complains about it or wants it changed. We have no say in the taoiseach only our local representatives. It needs to be changed we should be voting for who the taoiseach will be as well as local representatives.
Your understanding of the system is terrible. Getting elected on any count is completely acceptable in a PR-STV system. Ireland and Malta are seen as having one of the most representative voting systems in the world. Can you tell me using some sort of factual based evidence why it's terrible. What system would you prefer and why?
If you are happy with the inner city and city centre, then vote for marylou and social democrat garry gannon, because these pair are responsible for state our city is in . VOTE THEM OUT!
Only vote who you want don't do transfers if everyone done it we'd have a clearer picture of what the country wants i despise people who go down the ballot giving preferences to everyone its ridiculous then someone gets in you didn't want getting in 1 person 1 vote that's the way it should be
If everyone only voted one candidate then theoretically FG could win a super majority with just 25% of the vote if other parties where only receiving 24% of the vote
@od9694 not necessarily, but if that happened, is that not more democratic instead of transfers getting them even more of a percentage when it's not what people voted for like Harris getting in on the 15th count if there was no transfers the man wouldn't have a job nevermind be the leader of the country
@@punchy1325 this is the greatest load of nonsense I'm from Wicklow I voted for SF last time but I was sicken by there horsecrap after the election talking about which count people got elected. How can you credit Mary Lou and Garry Gannon when they haven't been in government? Surely you'd blame the TDs that are part of the government?
