    I don't think non wrestlers appreciate just how fucking good Henry was and just how rare it is for a 20 y/o to forgo college wrestling and go straight for gold and suceed.

      Omg I was just saying this literally the other day I was saying Spencer Lee & Henry people dont know this kid was dominant & didn’t go to college omg if he would’ve went to college & train like he did we would be talking 1 of the all time greats he won worlds & Olympics so

      I do...the tragedy is just Henry can't stop being Henry. His accolades deserve hero status, and they would warrant it if he didnt choose to tell us that every second....it just could have meant so much more if he didnt annoyingly force feed it to all of us. This interview he is staying true to self...and that's refreshing. I shouldn't have to say that, it should be the norm, and if it were, he'd be more loved than everyone but Chael P Sonnen

    • @kch7051

      @@kenonoke1395 I'd guess he got better training with the Olympic team and vs the world competition as opposed to any American college route- meaning, he wouldn't be better had he attended 4 years of college

      At the time, Olympic freestyle wrestling was just so different from college wrestling that it was felt that wrestling in college was useless for the Olympics compared to going to the Olympic training center and training solely for freestyle. At the time, freestyle was only 1 pt for a takedown and you had to win 2 of 3 periods. Nowadays the rules for the styles are so similar almost nobody foregoes college wrestling to train for the Olympics and those that do regret it.

    People talk about "Early Stoppage" with TJ and Henry. But No one talks about Fedor tapping verbally and Chael responding with a celebratory front flip (who wouldn't?), which then led to Chael "rope-a-doping" the last emperor until the fight was disastrously stopped moments before Chael was going to perform the first flying omoplata. smh.

    cejudo has the right mindset to compete at the highest levels. this is the reason chael is intrigued and wants to interview him.
    i like how cejudo thinks, he has a great mind for the sport and has not peaked in mma.

      When you start drinking your own coolaid is when it catches up.. Ask tj.. Making his fit to fight program online.. And then doing seminars for $$$ not only are you not growing as a mma fighter you are giving everyone the ins and out of your technique witch to a fighter as smart as henry and his team.. They eat tj up every time.. So its not a matter if did tj have a bad night? Its is tj him self doing everything for the right reasons like beforehand or at some point in his career.

    Whittaker will crush Gastelum

    • @mmafyasco
      @mmafyasco 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      i will honestly be surprised if whittaker is still conscious after the 3min mark.
      people talk about how tough he was going 5 rounds twice with romero twice, they have zero idea how quickly gastelum will finish the fight.
      i dont make predictions often, but i dont see whittaker even getting past the 3 minute mark with gastelum, no way.

    • @SR-lh4rm
      @SR-lh4rm 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gastelum has never been knocked out. If Gastelum avoids those leg kicks in Whittaker's combinations, he should be the new champion.

      Archduke Franz Ferdinand smh lol you sound crazy. Whittaker is just the overall better fighter FACE IT. Has way more mma fighting experience, wayyy more athletic, obviously faster, wayyyy better striker. anyyybody can win but either way Whittaker is still OBVIOUSLY the best fighter. What do you think romero would do to gastelum. You and anyyybody know what romero would do to gastleum. He wld overpower him out wrestle him and stop him Easilyyy. And look how hard it was for romero to take Whittaker down. Ans romero is easilyyyy top 3 best mma wrestlers EVER and a OLYMPIC and even he cldnt take whittaker down easily so how do you expect gastleum to do it when Whittaker WANTS the fight standing. Like i said anyyybody can win a fight but either way Whittaker is just overall a wayyy better fighter. Face it

      Have you ever wrestled? I have and I'm not 100% sure because I've only fought one muay thai fight and it was short. But you can't get knocked out in wrestling, you can get pinned or teched if you're a quitter but it can get exhausting beyond belief.
      EDIT: you can get knocked out in wrestling but not as often and it's not supposed to happen

    • @letsbereal7897
      @letsbereal7897 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark Guzman I have, not competitively, but from a training standpoint..it’s obviously not far off, & I get what you mean when it comes to a long competitive match..But ask someone who’s fought a 4 or 5 round MMA fight what it’s like to go back-and-forth. 2 pro’s whom have high level college wrestling backgrounds,trying to throw punches and kicks after a true fundamental wrestling exchange both against the cage and on the ground..body shots both on the ground, and standing up...have you ever had someone work your body, for 3-4 rounds?Talk about draining, wow...
