I always say I love you to my parents, especially since we aren't getting any younger. You never know when it's going to be their last day here. That's why it's my constant motto to end things on a good note and never a bad one because the question in mind that circles my thoughts is "what if it's their last day" and I don't want their last thought or memory of me to be bad. It's the same thing with my siblings, which is why I always say "goodnight" "I love you too" and "be safe at work/have fun at work" because I know they'll need that comfort knowing there is someone at home to greet or help them. As the youngest child, they basically were my parents while my mom and dad were busy working 12 hour+ shifts to get us to where we are now where they can work normal shifts.
