Amélie. One of the most enchanting movies, with one of the most timeless soundtracks. The magical atmospheres that Yann Tiersen creates in his music are unparalleled, every time I listen I can't help but be transported into another world. Hope you're having a great week so far ♥
Thank you so much for inspiring me to learn piano it hasn’t been a full year yet but I’m learning so much everyday and you’re the light that started this journey for me thank you ♥️
Beautiful work, as always! Keep it up - and don't worry about those that hate on the pop covers. Do what you have to do to live your passion and share your gift.
There isn't really a word that describes that feeling in English, but there is a Welsh word - "hiraeth". Means something along the lines of "a longing for a home you never had" or something to that effect. I get the same feeling from this song too
for some reason, since I was young I've always had something VERY DEEP about the music that the piano makes (and who plays it). I always felt something, inside, in my chest and belly, different sensations in each sound the piano made, I really wanted to be a pianist, I didn't know why, but I wanted to. Unfortunately, my parents did not take my wishes seriously. Nowadays I'm 14 years old, I'm still very young. For a while, I had forgotten how the piano makes me feel. but watching your lie in april (a sad music anime) I remembered and felt that feeling again. I did not give up! I'm here because I love hearing the sound of the piano, and I'm going to make my parents take seriously the way in which I want to express myself. I want to put my love on the piano, and convey that to whoever listens. Even if I don't become a pianist, I still want to express myself in this beautiful way. I sincerely love music with all my heart. wish me luck! Who knows, I might become a pianist KSMSKZKKXN !! >

You can always work an easy part time job like delivering the paper to save up and buy a cheap keyboard. Heck, you could even go on the internet and ask if anyone would be willing to send you an old one they don't use anymore. Maybe you could convince your parents to get you one by doing extra work around the house. There's always a way! Good luck. c:

Hey. It is never too late to start learning the piano! The magnificent thing with this instrument is that you can express beaty no matter the difficulty of the piece or improvisation you play. Until you manage to acquire a piano I strongly suggest that you join your school band or play the piano in your schools aula if it has one. Otherwise go to a piano store and practice. This is what I did before when I lived abroad and didn't have a piano. There are also an immense amount pianos on the internet that are given away for free.
You can definitely become a really good pianist just have to put in the time daily (even if it's just 5 minutes). We all have dreams, just have to surpass that fear of failure and go for it. Believe in yourself!
Once I was in Incheon airport, my flight was delayed and I was about to sleep, then I heard this music being played someone. Instantly loved to melody, went downstairs and there was a woman with her students. A little girl was playing this with heart. When I listen to this, I feel emotions that I have never felt, I feel a stone in my throat, I cannot breathe. I want to get up and start dancing slowly like a wave. This is strange but very beautiful

I don't know how many lifes I've had, but I damn sure know one this song is important in. This is one of the first songs I ever taught myself on piano due to procrastinating in my exam finals, about 5 years after my school's music teacher yelled at me again and again I had no musical talent, having me get no better than an E and making me lose my pure love for music I had at that time. He was a terrible teacher and lost his job shortly after I changed classes so I didn't have to endure him anymore. He did a hell of bad things tho, making pupils cry by yelling at them, calling everyone dumb all the time, wishing it were the times where teachers would have a whipping stick etc. I met him in my PE classes prior to my exams where he was still allowed to teach, again gave me a bad grade despite me not doing bad, but at that time I rather pitied the man than hated him. Jokes on you, I'm still wasting my talent by not practising every day but I play actual drums along with tons of samba drums etc, piano,...
HERE IS THE MILLION-DOLLAR QUESTION: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you. Hebrews 9:27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,

Actually, I started playing piano because of Rousseau. I watched him everyday and suddenly thought..."what if I play something?,I have time to spare". I became fond of piano to the point I have one...I started practicing at my school with my classmates keyboards and got to play this and Comptine d'un autré eté. When u saw that video, the one thing i love is that you didnt sulk since u hadnt learned piano up to that point, you said to yourself why dont i challenge by learning this instrument? That motivation is what drives me, an 8 year piano player, to be like you. Im sure you inspire those around you also. Never give up!!
I went to an art class as a child and it was an actual safe haven. I went from 9-13 years old and everyone was convinced that I was gifted. In reality I had just created a love for art in that art class. This was one of the songs that I always listened to. I clicked on this video and the second I heard it, my eyes were filled with tears. This was the song I’d listen to and paint for hours as a child.

I play this song on the piano, and how it flows and sounds when I play it makes me feel so delighted, Yann Tiersen never fails on making astonishing compositions. Also, I absolutely loved how you played the song, your arrangements are always my favorite ones!
I guess cause they use the dislike button the "wrong" way. Like when i dont enjoy something i just leave the video without pressing any button. I only dislike if something is seriously wrong like discrimmination in any form or stuff like that. But i think a lot of people press dislike when theyre like "meh that wasnt really that cool"
I particularly liked this video, but when I do dislike a video it's first of all, because I certainly didn't like it, either because of the music, video, sound, interpretation, whatever reason, and since I didn't like it I don't want TH-cam algorithm to start I particularly liked this video, but when I do dislike a video it's first of all, because I certainly didn't like it, either because of the music, video, sound, interpretation, whatever reason, and since I didn't like it I don't want TH-cam algorithm to start recommending videos I don't like, so, it is not to hate the video owner, it's for myself. I think you're in every right to dislike a video, I mean, there's a button for that, isn't it?... If you have the option to like, why not dislike? Why not use it? And if I see something that's really wrong in a video (like the comment above says) it's better if you report it rather than dislike it. It's entirely subjective, just because it's music, art or beauty doesn't mean I have to like it. Disliking does not equal hate, it's just matter of taste. Sorry, I know this is from 3 years ago, and I kinda got really deep on it, maybe you were just asking a rhetorical question, but it's late, I'm bored, couldn't sleep, started searching for piano melodies, read your comment and started thinking.

Recurro a esta canción cada vez que me siento triste, la uso para pensar en las mejores cosas de mi vida, no quiero volver a caer, ya estoy cansada de estar abajo.
I have no idea why, but that song always makes me cry. Like a sadness takes hold of me, although with a glimmer of light at the end of a very long Tunnel.
True! You're observant. It's in the key of C making it a very appealing song to play. Someone gave me the sheets to this and I was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't too difficult. (It was "sight read" friendly, too)
C major/A minor is actually a "relatively" difficult key to play in on the piano. Reason is, with the shape of our hands, our fingers naturally fall over the black keys on the keyboard. So playing in keys that use the black notes allows our hands to move more naturally. In order to play all white keys, you have to move your hands in a motion that tends to be less natural.
I've only recently starting watching you as a fellow musician just a few hours ago, and you amaze me. I play the Alto Saxophone as a jazz musician, so i don't have too much experience with the piano, but watching you perform is astonishing. You're great at what you do, and I can tell you practice lots. So I really just wanted you to know that even an other musician thinks you're amazing. Keep doing what you do best, don't let anybody tell you otherwise. (Also, that editing style is breathtaking, good job!)
This has to be my all-time favourite version of this piece. Played so beautifully, I just keep on listening to it over and over again. Thank you, Sophie ❤

My piano teacher, friend, passed away in 2011. We were friends for 19 years. 10 years have passed and I just recently started playing again. God how I miss her, how I loved her so. She used to always say, don't look down at the keys, I don't look down anymore but I hope she is looking down from Heaven and seeing that I'm keeping her alive through my heart, through the music. Rest in peace Gladys...I still love you.
Today was tiring. I got to bed and listened to this with my earphones on then fell asleep. Its 9:30 and i just woke up to listen to Rousseau's beautiful playing again.

Exactly what I thought🤣

Hebrews 9:27

it was composed in 2001 so it's impossible if you're not born after that year

He was the man who inspired me to play piano again and even make a channel for it. He is just such an amazing pianist and i have learnt so much just watching his videos. Growth on my channel is slow but im enjoying making content and playing piano again and sharing it to as many people as possible! it would mean the world if you showed any support but all credit goes to you rousseau! Thank you for everything!!!
since I started studying piano I've been listening to yan's songs. Today, after 13 years of study, I started composing and recording. I just have thanks to Yan for providing so much influence to piano music.
I saw Yann Tiersen in concert a few years ago in Barcelona. I've been in love with his music since high school, and it has really had an impact on my own compositions. Your performance is so wonderful and inspiring. Thank you.

Thank you for selecting yet another enticing piece. I could listen to this on repeat forever.
This is Satie-like at the beginning and end. These are the simplest parts but I think they´re the most beautiful
This is like a soundtrack of a series in my country
Thanks for your fingers to show us that magical music
the start reminds me of the Gymnopédies and Gnossienes of Erik Satie
Yo this rlly does sound like a solid gnossienne
Ahhh. I hear it so much now!
exactly what i thought!
Literally! When i want to listen this music but forgot the name i casually just searching gnossiene and gymnopedie
Tiersen is often compared to Satie, they’re interesting to compare in my eyes because I think they despite seeming very similar they are always also very distinguishable
Still mad how Rousseau learns a song or two every week for a TH-cam video.
That's the power of having a very good sightreading ability
That’s the power of being several people of varying ages and experiences at once

How can a person compose something like that? It just blows my mind. Extreme talent.
Dunno why but this made me rethink my life decisions

Just stop playing LoL and you will be fine

Your own song 😍
Chopin's Nocturne in F minor :D
1812 Overture Tchaikovsky
Nyan cat
Something classical
Oh my god guys, I was listening at this song before I fall asleep, and my brain just started scrolling a scene... it was a ball and I wore a splendid outfit. I was in the middle of the room and I was dancing a waltz with a masked person while the whole crowd was watching us... That was just amazing!
this is what I imagine every time, exept the person in the mask is my future soulmate
sounds like the game I played ;D there is a mask ball around the ending of the routes ^^ and the game has magic~ be careful during the ball tho ;3

Actually, I started playing piano because of Rousseau. I watched him everyday and suddenly thought..."what if I play something?,I have time to spare". I became fond of piano to the point I have one...I started practicing at my school with my classmates keyboards and got to play this and Comptine d'un autré eté.
I'm just very happy I got to watch one of his vids :')
U mean u had a piano and didnt do anything with it?
When u saw that video, the one thing i love is that you didnt sulk since u hadnt learned piano up to that point, you said to yourself why dont i challenge by learning this instrument? That motivation is what drives me, an 8 year piano player, to be like you. Im sure you inspire those around you also. Never give up!!

I have been learning this piece for a few months now. All these positive comments make me feel it's worth the time and effort.
The melancholy sound just draws you in, so beautiful.
I'm studying piano again after many years and this is one of my goal songs. Beautifully played. So inspirational.

It isn't a song actually cause it isn't singed nor has lyrics.
It is as the title suggests, a waltz.
I play this song on the piano, and how it flows and sounds when I play it makes me feel so delighted, Yann Tiersen never fails on making astonishing compositions. Also, I absolutely loved how you played the song, your arrangements are always my favorite ones!

I really appreciate every single emphasis you put on your keys. very impressive playing as always!
why people always gotta dislike, it's music, art, it's beauty, how can you dislike that?
The way you play is beautiful!! Your fingers are literally dancing across the keys. AMAZING!!!!

I love how the left hand notes perfectly stop on c1, means I can practice this on my keyboard!
I just realized there are no sharps or flats, everything in this one is natural.
Wow, just saw that too
True! You're observant. It's in the key of C making it a very appealing song to play. Someone gave me the sheets to this and I was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't too difficult. (It was "sight read" friendly, too)
@@VampireSugarRush actually it's A minor :D
@@yaroslavbabych5427 ha! I think you're spot on. Thanks for informing me. :)
We love every piece you play!
Seriously pls do Tchaikovsky and more classical and I WILL BE YOUR BIGGEST FAN

I've only recently starting watching you as a fellow musician just a few hours ago, and you amaze me. I play the Alto Saxophone as a jazz musician, so i don't have too much experience with the piano, but watching you perform is astonishing. You're great at what you do, and I can tell you practice lots. So I really just wanted you to know that even an other musician thinks you're amazing. Keep doing what you do best, don't let anybody tell you otherwise. (Also, that editing style is breathtaking, good job!)
