Yeah for someone like yourself that goes for movie accuracy, I don’t see how you think the cinemaquette even comes close to the prime 1. Cinemaquette mouth is far too wide open, body proportions are off, and paint job is way too vibrant. To me, it’s not even a fair comparison
The other masked portrait (the Gort one) is included because that’s what the mask of the Predator looked like until the last minute. They eventually changed it to the one we know and love but did include it in Predator 2. It’s another Easter egg inclusion really
Looks insanely sick stand-alone on the coffee table. Really looking forward to the closed mouth head. I feel like that will be the look besides the mask head.
Most accurate JH predator made, CM will always be special due to Steve working on it however Prime 1’s is insanely accurate in comparison to CM which is more Steve’s artistic take on predator with some elements from the movie like the base concept etc
Agreed. I can understand wanting presence but how can you market this as 1/3? It is like 13.5. getting close to 1/2 range. What a shame on the best looking predator statue easily.
@Flankster117 On the neca 1/4 predators, you would turn on the light-up features and sound effects by pushing the area where the cables go into the mask. You should check out the NECA 1/4 Scale JUNGLE DEMON. It's the one with active camouflage when it "shoulder cannon killed" Blain and then Mac sees it for the first time as it flashes its eyes at him. Picked it up on amzon for $60 a few years back. Definitely a cool addition. Goes perfectly with the Neca 1/4 Dutch since that figure is straight from the scene where the whole squad is blasting the jungle right after Blain was killed and Mac picked up the minigun.
CM is more of a comic book predator to me, personally I think the P1 is superior but I prefer the original movie predator. Nice video. Edit: the P1 is more 1/3 than the CM, remember how big the predator is at well over 7 feet tall, so he would be much larger in 1/3 scale compared to a human 1/3 scale. If you look at the new terminator P1 line, they are 1/3 scale but still much smaller than the predator at around 29 inches tall (this predator is 35 inches tall)
I wonder if they'll give this and City Hunter the quarter scale treatment like they are doing the Batman statues. I would like to have this but just not so freakin' huge.
P1 imo does indeed look more accurate from the armor being more dark/ battle damaged and mandible not extending all the way (the suit never allowed it). CM is much more stylized and creative liberties with the cleaner armor and more natural mandible.
It's cool as a stand alone statue, but doesn't work next to Alien. I'm more of an Alien than Predator fan, so the Big Chap standing out is more important for me. The Big Game Cover Art goes perfectly with Big Chap. Both of P1's Jungle Hunter's are overscaled.
Got mine and funny thing is I prefer the gort mask over the one in the movie. Never really cared for original. Glad they included it. Is an absolutely beautiful piece. They did easily a 10 on this piece. Worth every dollar.
So funny thing,one Titan of sixth scale world dx11 hot toys joker also got usurped this year by inart joker and Titan of statue world cinemaquette pred by P1.But the argument still stands both of them are great pieces especially for the time they were released which were also coincidentally near

Even if I sold all my predators They can't go on this wall since they don't scale with aliens It would only work if I also had overscaled aliens as well However That's going to cost me $50 k and all my current ones won't sell for as much It also will look super big next to my horror 1/3 I find it best keep p1 predator middle room Only maybe potential consider berserker and wolf if they can also fit mid room and it looks good not cluttered
I wonder if buying prime 1 pieces through a distributor like secret compass would be a better approach. Generally companies will take issues with pieces a bit more seriously through an authorized retailer.

Makes the Cinemaquette look like a toy. Prime 1 looks so much more lifelike while the cinemaquette looks plasticky. Yes it’s an older piece but the paint app is superior on prime 1. I believe jungle hunter is 6” taller than big chap. It’s over scale but I think cinemaquette is a tad underscale. Looks good middle room.
I don’t know. P1 is clear winner here. Looks several levels better. You don’t seem to like it because of the scale, but one wants to get just one, p1 is the way to go.
I'm really sorry for your unfortunate adventure, and obviously it's hard for you to be objective with this disappointment. The cinemaquette statue has been the Predator to have in your collection for the last 10 years, now you have to admit the exceptional work of Prime 1 studio. The cinemaquette was the most impressive Predator but never had an accurate head. As a collector you are lucky to have both statues. But if you only have to own one the studio prime 1 is by far the better. 5 head options, better likeness to the movie, different hand options and a better paint application plus with the lights it brings the statue to life. Yes it's overscale but for me it's more bang for the buck and becomes the ultimate Predator piece to display in a place that suits it. I don't understand why this 1:3 Predator looks so big, close to the 1:3 Alien dog. Even the 1:4 looks closer to scale to the 1:3 Alien dog.... Am I wrong?

For me, cinemaquette one rules, the pose is perfect, i just admit that the top of the head of the Prime looks a little more accurate than the cin emaquette. Plus the Prime stomach and torso seems more bulky than the one we see in the movie. For me, my cinemaquette is the grail, it matches perfectly with all my 1/3 statues, don't need any weird 1/2.5 scale...
It’s a great looking statue, but it is pointless having it in a 1/3 display because it is much bigger than all the others, doesn’t fit. Needs to be a standalone piece.
I gotta hand it to you bud still give it a positive review and a 10 with the issues you faced that's really big of you bud. I also noticed your cloth pants on the right looks like it's missing strands as on mine both sides are the same thickness. Hopefully you can get everything fixed and prime1 does the right thing they've got real tight with any kind of return these days or damage. Also agree with the gort mask why do prime1 keep giving us this mask we dont want I now have two gort masks I don't display.
Kind of unacceptable, We're not talking about a $400 statue from eBay or some shit.. We're talking a multi $1000 dollar piece they dropped the ball on with the missing pieces. I hope you get it sorted.. especially after the extreme wait to even get here coming from Japan.
Prime1 over Cinemaquette... the Cinemaquette's face doesn't look like the one from the movie... plus it's legs are way too thin. Not much accuracy on the CM.
I would get all prime 1 and don’t mingle aliens with predator. Have predators to the right and have aliens to the left. Have a bust separating aliens and predator so scale should be a non issue. Get rid of xm, cinemaquette and sideshow.
