This is fantastic for introducing someone to ween without scaring them to death, Thx
LOL
Dude you're so right
exactly what I was thinking.
This comment is terrifying.
My thought exactly!
“So you like ween, Mom?”
“Yeah, they’re pretty good.”
“Cool. The next song I’m gonna play by them is called mourning glory.”
Never trust anyone who doesn’t like WEEN.
Terrible certeza
No. Such a person can be trusted. Music is subjective.
@@elmoblatch9787 Are you the single downvote?
GET HIMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! / HERRRRRR!!!!!
Amen
WEENer
Thanks for compiling specifically all the Ween songs that my mom likes
Oh man this resonates with me! My parents must’ve taken me to see Ween all over the northeast, at least a dozen times in the late 90s- mom loves What the Deaner was talking about- reminds her of the Beatles.
Same here. My mom really likes Stay Forever.
Sounds like a nice lady. Is she seeing anyone?
@mokdis00 yea, hands off she's mine
😂🤣
Most underrated band ever.
Most unoriginal sentiment for things we love.
@@JamesJessenfedden Clearly I was at loss for words. I tried to keep it simple but it just came out lame and cliche. I’ll own it you are absolutely right
@@jf4313 Now you’ve managed to get me to say that your response is the most under underrated comment on TH-cam! Goddamn you!
@@JamesJessenfeddenit’s like a bunch of bots just put underrated for anything we all love. So weird. Nothing is awesome anymore. It’s all underrated. Shitty words make a shitty time
I saw them in small club in 92.
Amazing. Incrediable. Thrn I saw Kyuss open for them in 94. Amazing. Kyuss was.
Only knew them from the movie It’s Pat when I was like 6, but this is amazing, gotta listen to more Ween.
I Cant stop listening to this , its been days. never heard ween before
Go on ! 12 country greats is excellent
It would be a trip to have this be your introduction to Ween. These are a lot of my favorites too but many fans prefer their weirder shit. Although tbh even these songs all have something a bit weird in em in a way that's awesome and memorable.
My husband introduced me to Ween. I will admit, I was apprehensive at first because the first two songs he exposed me to were "push the little daisies" and "can't put my finger on it". Then he played "voodoo lady" and "freedom of 76* and from there on I was hooked. Went on a months long binge only listening to Ween and even got my brother into them. I remember seeing the video for little daisies on Beavis and Butthead back when I was a kid, and that was my only exposure until I met my husband. That's probably why I slept on them for so long. Now every time I listen to them, it reminds me of when he and I first met and began falling in love with each other. Good stuff.
@@saintlynnie4037 Weird to lead with Daisies, but at least yer here now. :)
I'm laughing imagining someone getting into Ween with this as their first impression, and their inevitable reaction when they try listening to one of their actual albums.
Yeah just doing that now. They are like a box of chocolates (you never know what you're gonna get)
I'm embarking on this very journey! any recs for their actual albums?
@@murphysletsdraw The Mollusk, Quebec, and White Pepper are definitely their most listenable albums
I'm not sure I'll try whatever is waiting, if this isn't it.
Well they should listen to Pure Guava or GWS
Its gonna be alright is one of the best songs ever recorded.
Facts!
Fr fr!
Nothing like being in a crowd of Ween fans singing along to it also
"I don't want it" almost ALWAYS makes me cry still to this day
It reminds me of a heartbreaking situation-ship that I was in for two years. I turned him on to Ween. Quebec in general is a greeeaaat album!!
Me too
Sometimes when I listen to exclusively Pure Guava, The Pod, and GWS for a while, I gain so much more appreciation for Ween when I remember that they’re simultaneously capable of stuff like this. Such a beautiful collection for such an amazing band. Thank you for this :)
This is mostly fallen-away-from-the-Boognish music.
In 92/93 some roomies said "buy the CD with the 'little daisies' song!"... It stayed in the 5 disc carousel CD player for a solid 3 months. I never properly thanked those ladies.
I would of said this is an hour plus of 🎤 Frank Sinatra & Simon Garfunkel :) 🎸%:)🪕
There's a good one going now songs like Wilco to me …
I heard the daisies, never remembered to well who did that , I just watched the one where Pauley Shore introduced em on MTV .
They from PA and Joppa road that gets me heard em on Towson College radio like I was on Joppa road …🐯🐑🐑🐑💭🗿👈🐻❄️
Mourning Glory if you watch the video with clay … somebody they are thought they sound like Elliot Smith on the chat same time somebody else mentioned Elliot Smith that was sad … this is their gig though I like Joppa Road though Falls road Jones Falls The zoo the Druids , Liberty Randallstown Security gone up Cooks , under Joppa Road on York…
@@mt_vu_rx_jukeboxhero I had my copy of Pure Guava in my PS3 when it was stolen. That's what probably upset me more. Had to get another copy.
huh?
In the 33 years I’ve had ween in my life I still can’t understand how they steal my thoughts and feels from my brain.
Ween makes me comfortable.
I feel this so deeply. Been listening to them since I was 6, met Deaner himself last year in Chicago 🩷 such a surreal experience.
Thanks for including I'll Miss You. I lost a close friend to an overdose almost 15 years ago when we were just kids. He was the one who turned me on to Ween and we shared some hilarious adventures soundtracked by them. Anytime I hear this song it brings me right back to those days and the the memories I shared with Colin ✨
RIP Colin
Rest in Paradise Colin.
Idk why, but compiling all of the normal ween songs together has made me truly appreciate them. even the "skippable" ween songs are bangers
Skippable bangers? You are reaching sir.
@sidvicious332 that's why I put it in quotes.
My friends and I took Ween to a nitrous oxide party in Columbus Ohio in the late nineties. 😊
Nice! Is that how Gener found his voice for the mollusk perhaps? 😁
That's a legit notch in the belt. Friend's older brother from Granville got me hooked on them about 1997.
@@raven5454 They got free balloons while everyone else had to pay $5 a balloon! Ween didn’t like that.
@@axelharge9540 I believe it was from inhaling scotch guard. Not that I endorse that. Don’t do scotch guard.
O-H
May Boognish rain down the brownest of blessings upon you for putting these comps together. Exactly what I need to help me scrape the mucus off my brain when I'm feeling deep fried and extra crispy after being at work for almost two weeks straight.
Stay forever...if this song was by a Nashville band it would be an all time classic, played at weddings etc etc. But NO it's Ween from New Hope BRILLIANT
Fuckin A
Probably how theyll win a Grammy some day.
Whoever made this...God bless you and your family!!
Thanks Matt! Perfect for playing Ween at work without possibly offending somebody's tender little sensibilities lol
Forget that. I get brown at work any time I feel like it.
😂😂😂
AWWWWW ..spinal meningitis got me down
@@jeffreyholley4307help me mommy!
Deaner, it's cold. Let me back in.
Pre-lubed Ween, I absolutely love it! Thank you.
This is the brownest AM wakeup playlist I have encountered. I love it.
Wow, "I Don't Want It" is an incredible song! Could be an easy listening radio rock ballad. These guys never cease to amaze! I'm ashamed I don't have more of their albums.
The guitar solo is simply masterful. Excuse me while I float away on a cloud.
My cat can eat a whole watermelon.
I just deep cleaned my shower to this. Thank you.
Brings back so many good memories of meeting my husband and us falling in love with each other. He was the one that got me into Ween
Holy shit, that transition from She Caught My Fancy to Chocolate Town is fucking PERFECT!
Thank you so much, all the Dreamy Ween faves, in one beautiful treatment.
If you haven't found God yet, look no further.
Ween Divine ✨🪷
Ween are the best. Lucky I got to see them live at least once in my life with my once love of my life. Good days with the Boognish!
I need this for King Crimson
Stay Forever is a masterpiece.
I live not too far away from New Hope, Pa and there's nothing nicer on a summer's day than watching the Delaware River, smoking cigs, and drinking rum and cokes at John and Peter's while imagining the band showing up when a song like Chocolate Town is playing.
Man you really paint a picture, sounds lovely. Mine would be The Crossing bar on the deck facing the KU campus. No longer exists, but that's ok. In my mind it does.
this is pretty much exactly the track list for the first mixtape i made for my high school girlfriend, except with Sarah, since that was her name. We loved each other quite a lot, and music was how we communicated that love
what happened with her?
@@andrewjones_fitness we are still best friends, we're currently "taking a break" but it's "complicated". sometimes when you love each other too much and for too long it can be hard to think about yourself, so that's what we're trying to do right now.
I wish Sara was on this list.love that song
Should've included Object. Anyway, spectacular comp. Great job. One of the best rock bands ever.
I'd love to hear Object in the middle there somewhere... to watch peoples reactions
Sounds like MGMT took some inspiration from “What Deaner Was Talking About” for the their song “Pieces of What”.
God I love Ween. Counting down the days till the Phoenix shows in 2024, wondering how many of these songs we might hear on Valentine’s Day!
Oh my God. Is there tickets still. From Phoenix and live a hour and a half from there now. Wanna see them so bad. One of my top 10 favorite bands of all time..
@@RaguDumas they sold out but you can find them resale! I bid you good luck!!
I did not right that. AI??
@@RaguDumas spending too much time in the Puffy Cloud this week?
@@RaguDumaswtf? Either youtube glitch or you're insane. Do you even like Ween?
Crazy how goddamn eclectic they are even after categorizing similar songs together
Love for Ween..from Spain
My old friends from highschool got me into Ween. i always thought they were such a silly group with really dramatic songs
Thank you. I dont know where to start with Ween. Im from new hope PA, when i first got into guitar i met a girl named Ash who wanted to jam. I went over to her place and she played amazingly, we jammed all day... and night. When she told me who her dad was, well, ive been a fan ever since.
wha??? did you play with the daughter of gene??? thats so cool
@@pigslam did more than that lol....
@@ofangelsflipz ay damn.... this is unruly bro i gonna tell gener
@@pigslam haaa fuck that guy 🤣 but nah she's cool, this was years ago. We dated for a summer
That’s awesome
A satirical interpretation of 80s AM radio. Brilliant!
ween for the whole family...
The wife and I thank you for this compilation
I don't listen to Ween, but this is very Flower Power, and i listen to Flower Power.
If these lads ain't the greatest, they're close
Such a perfect pic for the cover art.😂
This is one of the best playlist for getting kids to nap or bedtime. I rarely get through more than two songs.
Greatest music created by people... these people. Love
I could so see this playing in a coffee shop
Ween are the greatest band to exists, Hail Boognish.
Slow down boy flowing into I fell in love today is golden.
Just experienced this as I read your comment.
She's Your Baby is so beautiful, it just gets me every single time
Wow! Great choice for the first song. This gateway Ween.
Literally last night I was thinking that I should make a list of nice easy ween songs and then I found this, amazing how life works.
Saw this in my recommended and instantly loved this. Can't believe I've slept on Ween. Checked out there other stuff too and I'm with it.
I love how the drum riff at the end of Argus kicks it into Your Party.
Hell yeah, def gonna throw this on often as I open my bar, perfect mix
wow you have a bar? Im so jealous, I love drunks!
Love your cover art! And great track listing! Kim Smoltz is one of my favorites!
Great band legends
How can this be so good I have never heard of it before????
I absolutely thank you for this. I love bat shit insane Ween but sometimes I like chilling to their softer music and it got my dad of all people into Ween.
Kim Smoltz is such a good song. Its a shame it didn't make it on to the mollusk, however I'm glad I can still enjoy it here :)
The Argus he cries “though love has its place in the sun, it’s only man’s fear that carries him on.”
Duder this is awesome! Great way to intro to Ween and man these jams are perfect for every tender situatuon
Thank for this compilation indeed. So underrated it’ll never make any sense. #StayBrown
Thanks for this, ween is my favorite band some days I need a nice easy listen
This is proof positive that Ween were pop geniuses. "..and a bunny in a can!"
You can (not) shid in your hat, Matt.
This is gold, thanks
whenever i play ween my mom says im listening to that "baby music" again lol
Nice compilation! Thank you for this, but now I am curious, what would be the "difficult listening" Ween?
My cat loves Ween. And me too.
She has great taste.
Just want to say that this has been an amazing mix to stumble upon and I have shared it with all of my ween or ween adjacent friends. Loving volume 1 and 2!
These guys are amazing ! Thank you ! Thank you Deen and Gene !
For all their lunacy, these guys crafted some great love songs.
Lovely compilation! Also love the photo used for the artwork, one of my fav photos of Dean and Gene but I can never find a good quality version of it
So many seamless edits. Great job.
Why am I only just finding out that we almost had a timeline where Gonzo the Great sang a Ween song? That would've been sick.
I believe it was intended for this scene, sung by Gonzo while stargazing on the roof (rather than while flying through space, instead of the Earth Wind & Fire song) th-cam.com/video/y_F3zNUVVVQ/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
most of these are on my "lite brown" playlist
Great transitions throughout. Great mix. Great job. Cheers ✌🏽🌻
Thank you for this, I needed this.
What a sick comp. Thank you.
Nice! I've been knee deep into Ween for nearly 20 years and you stumped me on 2 tracks already
Yeah same.i found them maybe 10 years ago.i thought I had heard everything.this is the shit
Great playlist mate
Great mix thanks.
This is an absolutely amazing collection
Thank you Matt❤

This mix is sublime. Matt... thank you sir.
Well done sir, that picture of them is hilarious!
Have a brown day everyone.
you are blessed. thank you for sharing this music.
Ah, I've been waiting to find this or make it when I had time. Another 2 vol comp I would buy as an album. Thanks man.
great choices
Well done
Sounding very Donovan-like sorta in the song 'Koko'.
Shades of 'To Susan On the West Coast Waiting'.
'Someday'? Is that the spirit of Davy Jones?
'Slow Down Boy': I'm sure there's another one, and this one-Sounding very Bowie-ie.
'I Fell In Love Today': I'll eat my hat if this isn't a self-conscious reference to 'Come Together.
Thank you for this ❤️🇨🇦🫡👍🎶🦑🐚🧀🍫🤘🎸😊
thank you for doing this
Great comp
Terrific!
I'd have included Sarah but since I'm too lazy to do something like this, I won't complain.
