In this video we go to the west side of Trafalgar Square to St-Martins-in-the-Field to go underground to a secret cafe and area under the church. This has to be one of the most novel cafes in London, that an area full of history.

If you enjoy brass rubbings it’s worth going to find a place where your going down into a crypt and doing a brass rubbing that’s 6+feet tall thats still in the ground. We have one hanging on our wall. It’s such a fun experience. It’s amazing to walk through and choose between all these people. It’s really makes you appreciate the history. I can’t remember which one I went to but they had the most delicious tuna sandwich I’ve ever had that was on a croissant. Have never made or found it’s equal.

Forgotten pastime? Or overpriced tourist faff? It was 10p when I was there in the 80's. 34.50 quid (I think - your camera was out of focus the entire time you were in there so that's just a guess from the blurry shape) is nearly two days wage where I am from. No way no how am I passing this tradition onto my kids at that rate!
