Most underrated character of the movie is Matthew (Thomas). Guy was loyal to the end; he even climbed a damn mountain for his dead boss to finish the bucket list. Respect.
"I think the simplest thing is I love him, and I miss him." That line makes me cry so hard. When my best friend died no one really knew how hard it hit me, and to this day its really hard for me to watch this because of that line. I still love him, and I still miss him.
Same. Lost my best friend when I was on the other side of the country. I got him a job with me. He was supposed to start a week later. "He" called me one morning. I hit the FU bottom. "He" called back and left a message. It was his sister from his phone asking me to call her back ASAP. I knew then. Guys at work tried doing the not notice I was teary eyed. Told them I didn't care, he earned those tears over two decades of being my friend. To this day, still miss him.
Tears me up every time too, But I'm soooo lucky to have had My Gramps and best Friend in my life when they were here. And they were the only ones there for me when I needed Someone no matter how big or small.❤❤
Such a beautiful movie, amazing chemistry between Jack & Morgan. Rather than any old casting they put two legends together and the sincerity, depth, humour and real character showed, I was so lost in the story it had me choked at the end. Such a great story and a good lesson about what matters, finding your Joy.
Sam Blonde Really cause he lost his quinn over this twice. Anne Hathaway can kiss GONAZZO but & mine cause the mermaid @ Disney movie is a NO. Marvel movies: NO & you all know why! I was pregnant with Hiro Tobias and now he has the same blood as me and last hope.
"The last months of his life were the best months of mine." That line STILL CHOKES ME UP! My father was watching this just after my mother died. I am so glad I got away before this scene, or we both would have been blubbering! Jack Nicholson, you're the best!
I haven't cried for over twenty years, but I did cry whole night after watching this scene and hearing this speech. Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman indeed are two greatest living actors in world. And this movie cemented that status. Every single scene and every single line in this movie are already immortal.
Fatima Ahmad , I believe that life and death are two parts of the same coin. You cannot have one without the other, nor appreciate it as much. My dad passed two days ago, and l am happier than l could imagine. He was a true inspiration to all who met him on this journey called Life. He just treated me like his friend🤧
Awe... You cut off my favourite line! It was supposed to say "I know that when he died, his eyes were closed and his heart was open. And I'm pretty sure he was happy with his final resting place, because he was buried on the mountain. And that was against the law."

Two very sad moments in this movie to me, maybe three but when he said "I love him and I miss him" and (chocking up now) when he dented up the Shelby. :
The ending always brings tears to my eyes. This is one of the better movies but I've seen in a long time. I hope in my lifetime I find a friend as good as Carter.
I honestly don't understand why this has bad ratings and lame movies like "Easy A" have good ones. This was so much more beautiful and deeper. This movie changes lives
@@a4arick106 yeah... shame on them I guess. I remember this movie being mentioned in Shoe Dog (a book by the founder of Nike, Phil Knight), today I finally got to see it, and it gets you thinking... I thought that Edward crossed that item because Edward helped Carter to witness the world and offered him a trip. Well... he crossed the item off when he mentioned they were complete stranger. Now, after years, I find that it turns out to be: they are helping each others. Edward helped Carter to discover the truth that he should live for himself while Carter helped Edward to know the truth that he cannot live by himself.
This movie is beyond sad. ironically it has one of the funniest lines uttered in cinema. "I have some advice for you when you get to be my age, Don't pass up a bathroom, don't waste a hard-on, and never trust a fart.

My late wife loved this movie we watched together a few times and I miss her daily lost her a few months over 4 years now watching clips like these bring back happy memories and always remember "never trust a fart".
The bucket list is one of the , if not The BEST film I have seen. It is a film with meaning and great love that comes from two totally different worlds that end up as one, every body will take a bit of the movie with them through life because its about all of us at some stage in our lives. I dont think any two actors other than these two would have done the storyline justice the way that these two did.
I stop myself from crying by imagining him taking a plate of fried egg and throwing it with brute force against a wall shouting "I SAID OVER EASY!" after the speech
Crooked Man Because the film has a terrible pace. Most of the characters' decisions are not justified, so as his personalities' evolutions. Just remember how the Jack Nicholson character received a call from Morgan Freeman's wife after which he realized the wife deserved to be with his husband, and less than five minutes later, he changes his mind just because Morgan Freeman refuses to listen to him, which he finally does. Also, much of the dialogue is cheesy, there are no narrative counterparts to what the two of them think or say about their relatives, and I think a movie full of epiphanies, like this one, in the end, cheapens them, and they feel useless. They seem to have an almost-divine revelation every five minutes. That is not to say I didn't like movie. I enjoy it more than most of the other feel-good movies, and Rob Reiner's direction is quite good, but I think I understand the complains about it.

Thirty-three years ago tonight I was a victim of several cruel and unjust things did to me by family. I vowed one day I would be completely vindicated from that whole experience, and it happened today, July 15, '15! It was on MY bucket list, and I can cross this off! Let's just say it involves some of my earlier posts on this clip and the aftermath of what I have dealt with since my mother passed and the cruel lies she told me, the people involved, and how my grandmother was right when she used to say, "Life's a full circle. Exactly! He is so loyal to Edward Cole. 🤧Such an emotional movie!
Didn’t know anything else and like Alfred from Batman probably inherited a lot and felt obligated
Rich people with no actual heirs tend to leave their wealth to the people who helped them build it, which is probably they way it should be
And the rest to charity so maybe someone actually remembers them
