- The most difficult mission in all war2 campaigns.
5 heroes (Khadgar, Alleria, Kurdran, Turalyon, Danath) from humans and 5 heroes (Deathwing, Teron, Grom, Korgath, Dentarg) from orcs.
He takes advantage of every single unit. Not a single unit is useless when he uses them. Not a single thing he does is pointless. This guy knows what he's doing.
- Naoko - used mostly the heroes... they are way too strong! Deathnight and dragon did 80% of the kills, catapults 10% and land army the rest. I wouldn't want to play against this guy 😂 id lose but Id get kills thats a forsure.

Very skilled play. Makes me want to play this game again. I hope Blizzard makes good on their promise to release it again for modern computers. I would buy it a second time.

I started replaying this game. It's much easier for me now, in adulthood, but this level is insanely difficult. I was in awe watching this; absolutely masterful.
You got lucky a couple of times, but you're extremely good at this game. Wish i could be as good as this.

No way... you made this level seem... effortless. Props to you! I always seem to run out of gold without being able to clear out the humans on the mainland... Either that or they kill all my catapults before I can even get halfway through green. The fact that I even GOT to this level is surprising.
You do not need much gold, if you never loose a unit. :)

If you lower the game speed the speedrun time will be slower... so no, don't do it.
Jsid Fir Sure it can... lowering the game speed doesn't take away the sheer number of individual actions you have to do to control your army... Still the same amount of micro management... just at a lower pace.
but decreases the overall walking speed of the army and peons, so slower attacks and slower ressourceharvest.
thats why speedrun on the highest speed makes more sense

He didn't use control groups because originally warcraft II did not have control groups or hotkeys to swap between them, it was first introduced in the bnet edition i believe.

Imagine how wierd it was hearing about Deathwing in Warcraft3. Wait he's the leader of the black dragon flight? I thought he was just a cruel ambitious son of Alexestrassszszs (spelling be damned)
I encountered the strange glitch when playing warcraft 2 bnet edition. When you reload a saved game, Enemy AI seems to completely freeze, and don't attack as often as before. Even though though it works on my favor, i feel rather cheap winning like this. Did you also encountered it?

Kavya in one it looks like the actual orc face (two tusk) but the hidden face, he looks like he's looking to the side, and his tusk is the mouth itself, lol

Kavya pretty late but I've always seen a double face on the human spotter/flying machine, it totally looks like a pig if you look at it the right way
warcraft 2 has such a cool aesthetic to me. i started with wc3 and never tried wc2 but always kindof wanted to.
WC3 design, these cartoonish 3D with bigger units than buiildings and huge hero units always looks like a crap for me. Story in WC3 was fantastic and that was the only reason why I finished this game, but design and gameplay sucks

After first starting playing Warcraft 2 in the late 90s, i got through the vanilla game but never dared through the expansion.
Then lost my cds and even my battle.net edition, anyways, got it on GOG. Played through this mission just a few weeks ago finally.
Im pretty sure this is one of those missions that has tons of different tactics, take out one base and start your own or take them all out fast and then build up.
When i played this, i snuck down along the right and took out the whites and the greens hardly attacked, purple got stuck just behind their mountain. :)
Fun mission, but as i watched this, damn it looks hellish trying to micromanage all the units, id be so stressed out doing that with the 9 unit limit.

That haste/bloodlust onthe DK and DandD ability is a damn good tactic.
How did you do that? I mean I cannot play that fast because if I focus on war... I forget about construction and if I focus on construction I take time to prepare for war.

still got the cd. but damn dude. i remembered that i was busting my ass off beating this level. deathwing had 1hp for the last 20 minutes. what u did was... damn... screw leeroy, you should be famous

i like the fortress design. Looks menacing... Or the orc just adapted the designs of the legion as they were a part of them at the time
Orcs were never part of the Legion dude. Orcs were corrupted by Legion's demonic blood, but their goal was never same as Legion.

Managed to beat this mission, but just barely, with only about 900 gold left and all the goldmines blown. Used remainder of forces to capture dark portal.

All I can think of is that the Magi of Dalaran cloned the heroes of the Alliance Expedition into Draenor (Outland) and the real heroes are the ones you control in the Human campaign

I think Human 12 was harder and Human 4 was harder.

The mages never attacked lol. If they did, you'd never do this without losing a unit.
One did, once at 7:45. AI didn't have a time to research Polymorph and most of these mages didn't have mana (after recruiting mages has 70 mana if I remember correctly - and Fireball costs 100). Also AI don't use magic vs flying units so Deathwing was never their target

what speed did you play this on? (in game speed) cuz if i slow it down i can micro it pretty good but at high speed it gets hard

This guy must have memorized the map and unit count so well he could do this with his eyes closed. His spatial awareness of the map is that of a digital samurai.
I remember this expansion being so hard as a kid. And now, about 20-years when I first got it, I still have not beaten it! Maybe its at last time.
jesus man i grew up with red alert2 and brood war and i thought those games needed mico and macro but now that i see warcraft2 i know the meaning of true micor and macro jesus this looks fun but a very very tense and energy draining game ,nice vid keep up the good work

I played almost like around six to seven times so I would know what units they have near the towers. Since it's not random it's same every time you play you get to know what units they are hiding.

Masterful skill
I was usually wiping out the violet player and building inside his former base (which prevented white from attacking me due to the silly pathing routine), but I was losing tons of troops breaking through first the teal, then the violet defenses.
I've wondered if that was a viable path. I set up the barrier in the far east. Extremely hard but doable. Not as good with the micro as he is, and you're better off using the super units early to clear a path. I used the basic units and then saved the superheros.
I tried the green central location, as he eventually did here, but did not set up towers by the start location to eliminate the roving hordes. It's a better setup than the cramped side game is.
Lol'd a hasted deathwing.... i'd hate to be the one commanding the humans
