    Corgi's!
    "Buy my book's"
    Benni your'e my hero!
    My old PC crashed, with all of it's Inkscape/Fusion 360 info and tutorials, so this really helped to started again. Real life got in the way so it has been almost 18 months since then. My goal is to use the images and screen shots from Mass Effect to make plans for practical life size furniture "props". So far I've only managed to make prop of the Medi-gel containers from ME1,... to store a bottle of Serrice Ice Brandy for Dr. Chakwas and myself of course.
    Pet the Corgi's for me!

    I dunno if I'll ever be the type to use blueprints as my props aren't very detail oriented, but I always enjoy Benni videos, he has a lovely speaking voice.

    "You know, I'm not getting forced to say that..." (then follows the strained laugh, the furtive left-right looks and then the ducking. I was waiting for a fun fur Corgi dressed as a commando to come flying through the air, aiming for your head! lol)
    As always, a fun, informative and altogether great video! Frohe Weihnachten und ein glückliches Neues Jahr!!!

      This would have been even more awesome if the camera panned away and Sylvana was standing off to the side pointing a weapon at him like a hostage.

    I know this is a 5 year old video. But I wanted to let you know that it's great that it's still here. I watch a lot of your videos, bought some of your books, and have gotten some great ideas. Your latest short was about the newest massive Genshin Impact sword you are about to build. And that's what made me remember to look up this video because I have needed the ability to make my own blueprints. I've been using Fusion to do it but since that is more for modeling, I have a feeling inkscape will serve me better (not paying for Adobe for personal use haha). Anyway, thanks to both of you for being such great role models for us cosplayers.

    Mando’s rifle is a disrupter. It is illegal in the Star Wars universe, out pawed by the Empire and the New Republic. It is his and what you saw was a fight scene from episode 2 of the Mandalorian. They basically set every cell in the target on fire and disintegrate the target. Great video. Mandalorian is a fabulous program.

    I can tell you enough how much this video helped me! I have been struggling to make huge patterns by hand for years because I couldn't figure out how to make them digitally. this has saved me so much time! you broke this down to be so easy making my final fantasy project I have been avoiding sketching by hand for a...long time now....so thank you for the confidence push in making it finally. I have a video I just uploaded of my speed build of a very large pattern (use I have the same issue with picking very large complicated things lol ) as a thank you I added the link to this in the description if you would like to see :) Its my Odin blades from final fantasy xiii.

  • @mihailazar2487

    ULTRA PRO TIP:
    But Blender can give you the blueprints automatically :
    just go to render settings, at the bottom ENABLE FREESTYLE, select the camera, in the camera tab on the right set it to "Ortographic", press a button on the XYZ gizmo to set the angle, press
    Ctrl+Num0 to align camera to view, hit F12, BLUEPRINTS DONE !!!
    If you don't want the image itself, but rather only the edges, you can export it as an SVG by going to Edit>Prefferences>Addons and enabling the FreestyleSVG
    then hit F12 again and BOOM, what you just did in Illustrator was just done automatically, with no manual work required, and it's also 100% accurate to the model
    of course, if you want it to look better you can always change the line style and color and stuff , add a background grid, etc to make them look really pretty if you want

    • @valentinpopgeorgiev746
      @valentinpopgeorgiev746 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      so how to seperate it to piceces in pdf file as shown in the video?

    • @mihailazar2487
      @mihailazar2487 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@valentinpopgeorgiev746 Just use any 2D vector program capable of editing SVGs to make the layouts. Such as Inkscape.
      You could even edit the SVGs by hand if you wanted to lol. It's just XML, you can just include an SVG into another SVG (either by pasting inside it or by using the foreignObject tag to link the file directly
      For example putting the view into another SVG which is your page, and you can edit its viewbox attribute to put it wherever you want and crop and scale to whatever you want within the page.

    Hi Benny, Just tu clarify, inkscape does have guides, also if you have a 3D model you should take a look to freecad, there is a workbench for blue prints.
    To enable rules, go to document settings and then the last tab, if i remember well. inkscape.org/forums/questions/two-crossing-grid-lines-intersection-set-to-zero/
