Cameron seems more engaged with the character, plot, and interplay of characters and settings than most Hollywood actors in major motion pictures.
In defense of most Hollywood actors, it's hard investing in a character that you can't develop or explore apart from the fact that he/she/it has to look like you.

I love that he talks about the story and its process even though he's not technically the developer. Goes to show how involved he is.
Of course he's involved. He's the protagonist. He has to have a good grasp of the story by this point since he has to read the script.
I enjoy his enthusiasm for the role, but I mean he's literally being asked about that stuff. That's like someone asking what you thought of your food at a restaurant, you describing what you thought of it, and the person asking saying "Wow it just goes to show how involved you are even though you aren't the chef"

I believe Cameron Monaghan deserves a lot more recognition for his performances. His depiction of Joker in the Gotham TV-series was outstanding.

His performance as Joker has him in my top 3 for best live action Jokers. He killed it
That joker role was supposed to be the "fake" one, until they realized how great Cameron was, they decided to resurrect him from dead, then they introuced the real joker as a twin of the fake one just to keep Cameron.

4:00 is why Jedi Fallen Order was such a big hit, it treated everyone in the game like it was their first time in Star Wars, but it also had the depth for any long time fan too. Such an amazing series and looking forward to the next game.
I enjoy this story more then the new trilogy honestly. Can’t wait for this one. Finished Fallen Order on Xbox and now it’s the free monthly game for PS plus so working through a replay.
The reason I loved it is that it kept empowering you and handing you new moves that changed the way you play, and it did that all the way through the game. Compare that with GOW Ragnarok, which doesn't even give you another weapon, just leaves you with the same tools from the previous game, and simply hands out loot over and over again which just ups your stats. It does give you more moves, true, but they don't make you _feel_ empowered like the new moves you can unlock in Fallen Order did, and this obsession devs have with perks that up your stats a little bit is infuriating.
Even if you love Ragnarok(and it's a really good game) tell me which of these unlockable upgrades sounds more appealing:
a. an upgrade that reduces your cooldown by 0.5 seconds, or
b. an upgrade that lets you stop blaster bolts in midair, and hold them there with the POWER OF YOUR MIND?
Lol, that's why I love games like Fallen Order and Control, and it's why I hate games like The Division, Gotham Knights, Borderlands, etc..
Meaningless, tiny stat upgrades ARE NOT FUN. Please get this through your heads developers.

I really cannot wait for this game, Fallen Order was an absolute treat back in 2019, a refreshing take on the franchise which the fanbase unanimously praised and rightfully so

I played on the ps5 update anyways. It’s the combat and platforming system that is janky and weird at times.
Had the pleasure of meeting this guy in person in 2018. Cameron is honestly one of the most chill dudes i've ever met in Hollywood; Genuinely laid-back, funny, and he really seemed like he was completely oblivious to his fame.

He has the looks, the talent, and the PASSION for his involvement in the Star Wars lore! When Fallen Order was first announced, I, along with many others, was lukewarm on the announcement. Looking back, he has been the best tool in the comeback of the franchise along with Mandalorian and Andor.
Wow, he really seems to care about his character and how it affects the game. Charming, honestly. So many people phone in their involvement with games, and if not, they typically don't go this deep about the intentions of the game in interviews. He must really enjoy this character and hopefully he'll get to play him in a live-action portrayal.

I’m currently replaying Jedi Fallen Order. This is my first replay since launch. I’d forgotten just what a great experience this game truly is. Jedi Survivor cannot come soon enough.
He's so genuine and enthusiastic about what he does and his character role. I love it!
Cameron is a great actor. He was Ian on the American version of Shameless. I recognized his voice and face instantly when I saw the trailer for Fallen Order.
I can't emphasize enough how glad I am to see an actor's involvement in a game to the degree that we would see in movies. Not only is it indicative of a game that's likely to do very well, but it means that gaming as a medium is starting to grow in the way that TV and movies did. I hope one day it'll be as normal to have interviews with video game actors as it is with movies and television.
He nails it at about 3:10 when he is talking about fitting new and interesting into established cannon/lore. That is one of THE most important aspects to creating stories in the SW universe.

I love the in depth work Cameron puts into the roles he plays. It shows appreciation and power to your character that few actors can match. Also I love how creative he is in not revealing anything about the story or any spoilers as for us to enjoy the expanding lore of Star Wars: Jedi Survivor.
I love how much Cameron is in to it. Makes the game so much deeper when you know the actors and developers care as much as us the players.

I just cannot wait, I remember when jedi fallen order came out, and I had been waiting years. But it was for some reason more expensive than I thought it would be, and I was so sad, luckily my brother came in and gave me the money to get it. So I got to play it on the day of release and I finished that in like 2 days, it was soooo good. To this day it has my favorite combat in any game and is my 3rd favorite game of all time. I already pre ordered jedi survivor and I cannot wait.
This kid might just be single handedly carrying Star Wars as a media franchise.

I would also throw in the game company Respawn as well. Yes I don't care for Apex Legends but their involvement with both Titan Fall and Fallen Order is a new hope for companies under the EA branding.

You have missed the single best bit of star wars media produced in decades. Not sure what exactly there is in Andor that's so 'woke' you would skip the rest of the series?! It is the antithesis of the sequel trilogy in terms of wokeness, how well written the dialogue is, how compelling the characters are - pretty much everything.
Incredible that one of the most in depth characters, intricate storylines, and interesting development in Star Wars lore is coming from a video game. Absolutely love the game, atmosphere, mechanics, sound, visuals..and to top it all off..the acting is top notch. Kudos to all involved on this project.
Fallen Order felt like a PS2 game in all the best ways. I’m so happy this franchise is continuing

Damn... you're so right, the ps2 games that really stuck with me felt like such personal & immersive experiences. Fallen Order definitely had that same feeling. While i'm thinking about it, the campaign of Red Dead 2 does that for me as well. That feeling of getting lost in the best way in a character and their story. My favorite example of that though is definitely Kingdom Hearts 2. I've played through it countless times but could still start it again and get completely immersed in it.

in creating him, he cares about him and his story in the larger context of the Star Wars galaxy. This is a great interview. I wish actors who movies gave damn this much.
Not only was star wars Jedi fallen order one of the best star wars games to come out, I believe it to be one of the best games to come out last generation! Honestly cannot wait for this one to come out. Will pre-order it soon.

As a kid going back to the original series, this has regenerated my love for Star Wars. I just finished Fallen Order yesterday and replaying it. Can’t wait for the new game!
The way this game and its prequel have entered star wars universe and how they got a bright seat on their own in this massive saga reflects how the developing studio and the actors are talented and dedicated to their work and i think this sequel will be a master piece in the storytelling genre of games generally

Cameron is great. Voice actors need more acknowledgment for their work. I bought the PS5 in part because of Survivor and if Filoni, Favreau, and Cameron ever teamed up they could create one of the top Star Wars series/shows...and we'd have more BD1. Going to play through Fallen Order again to get ready.

Ok that is impressive! I didn't know they modeled the character actually off the actors appearance! Probably makes it easier for the capture and motion effects.
